they did a great job, but a day after getting them done my dip was already cracking and 2 nails already chipped. my nail tech only did 2 coats of orange dip so it wasn't thick enough. they wouldn't give me a store credit or refund even though I called 3 days later informing them of this. very disappointing. This salon is great! The staff is kind, skilled, and happy! Sara, such a sweet person, accidentally hurt my cuticle (which was long from me not taking care of them for so long), and she cradled my hand and said, "so sorry" in the sweetest voice. Then she doctored it up and patted my hand so sweetly. Her son took over halfway through so she could do a pedicure for another customer and he and I had a great conversation. This was my first time at this salon, as a recommendation from a friend. I got acrylic white tips done. I do not know the name of the technician, as she did not introduce herself to me. She's an older lady and said that she has over 20 years experience in the business. She was not very talkative, which is fine with me. I'd rather her focus on what she's doing than chatting away with her customers. Overall I am OK with the result. But there are technical errors that could have been addressed. I had to point out a few times where the nail was not shaped properly. It had to be filed down, to get the right shape. The tech also grazed my skin over my cuticle repeatedly with the drill. At one point I had to ask her to please be careful as I could feel the drill hurting me. She drilled down the acrylic gel several times and still did not get the shape right. All my nails have a different shape on the surface. Some have a visible bump near the cuticle. Some are filed down more at the tip and have a large bump in the middle of the nail. On my right thumb she missed the side, did not trim the pink properly and had to reapply the white powder, which left a bump, even after filing it down. She did listen to me and did not file down the sides of my nails too much, to leave the natural curve. She also gave me the shape I wanted. I'm happy she listened and did not leave the nails too thick. Overall, from further away, my nails look great. Just don't look too close. Obviously I will not be coming back here. She did do a better job than the last salon I went to, but not enough to where I would come back to pay $40. I paid $40 for the nails, $5 for the removal of the previous acrylic gel, and gave her $10 tip. For $55 I will go somewhere where my nails are done to perfection, or close to it. Most of us are not made of money. My nails are very thin and brittle naturally and do not have the thickness I need. It is better for me to have them done. So if I'm going to pay that much, I'm going to go to someone who will do a better detailed job. Last time I had my nails done, they lasted a month. So I absolutely need to make sure that my money is worth spending. read more

Overall wonderful experience getting a pedi from Trina and brow wax from Natalie. Trina was very gentle and meticulous with my toes and I didn't have to stress out about my cuticles being torn out and bleeding like I have with other nail salon techs. Natalie was very friendly and did a great job on my brows. The salon itself was very clean and nicely decorated and I love how they open a sanitized pack of tools in front of you. I would rate this 0 stars if I would!! This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. This lady working in my feet was really rough with me. I felt a pinch I said ouch. I let her continue and finish at the end I looked down and my toe had a spot on it. I asked her what's this and she told me I had a mole!!! You think I would know if I had a mole on my own body LOL she was a joke. She then told the manager that it was already there and that it was a blister. IT WAS NOT there. I had taken a pic here of my toes when I went in and one after. I tried speaking to a manager she didn't even try to apologize. She said the lady did not do it. She said it's a blister. If th lady did it I would have an infection. Sooo if they accidentally hurt you then you would get an infection?? Wtf this lady is so stupid. I told her many times it was never there but again she stuck with her story then asked me what do you want me to do? I said I just want to let you know. She said that lady wasn't there anymore yet I saw her in the back. She looked at me with attitude like she was ready to fight and said "thank you" . The lady doing my nails was fairly pleasant and friendly. Water was offered, but what had me disappointed was the end results of my acrylics. She didn't offer to cut and trim my cuticles and she placed the powder further away than normal from my cuticles. Which means in a few days or so, it will need a fill! And by day 4, my nails needed a fill! I also requested a lighter color and she insisted that the color she had chosen was the perfect match to the picture I brought in for reference. She chose a light pink and I wanted a nude/clear powder. She kept insisting that her color of choice was better...last I checked the customer is usually the one paying for service? I've been going to this place since it was called Bambi Nails & Spa. When the name changed, and presumably the ownership, I kept going to see if it would hold up. It has, thank goodness. I'm a low maintenance gal. I go for a pedicure about every 6 weeks when I can't take it anymore. I do not get my eyebrows waxed here or at any other nail salon, as I have very thin skin around my eyes and no matter how careful they are, my skin can get ripped off. Sorry for that visual. I use a special eyebrow tech at my hair salon for that. I get the basic pedicure at Polished Nails and it's perfect for my low-maintenance needs. I bring my own color in case I have any chips I need to touch up between pedicures. The manager is very nice and always greets me warmly. I sign in and they show me to a chair. The techs are very nice and always hardworking and diligent. The manager always offers me a bottled water and makes sure all is well. They offer me the menu of services, but never try to up-sell me on things I don't need. They treat me as well when I choose the basic pedicure, as they would if I bought the most expensive package. I appreciate that. This place is consistently good. I'm always happy with my pedicure and the service. I can't speak for their other nail services, as I cut my own fingernails and file them myself. This place was pretty good. My shellac manicure looks great! However, my pedicure wasn't so good. I found a design on Pinterest & Trish said she could do it. It was alternating red & silver polish but the big toe was white with bye stripes & a red heart. May polished my toes & Trish came to do the design but didn't bother to match the red polishes so I have orangey-red toenails with a deep marooning red heart! It looks so stupid & I was disappointed by that. The person who did my pedicure (May) did a decent job but I had to ask her to go back & do a bit more scrubbing because she barely did anything & that's the whole point of a pedicure. She was nice though & she didn't gripe when I asked for extra attention to the scrubbing. The service was fairly decent. May, Trish, & Tom were quite nice, however, the people working on my friend were really rude! The lady kept commenting on her calluses, razor burn, jagged nails, etc. It was impolite for them to criticize her so much! The man at the front was sort of curt as well. I got there about 5 minutes before my friend and he was rushing me to choose a color & being a little pushy. Also, I was really upset that I called a week ago to make an appointment for my friend & I to get shellac manicures & pedicures TOGETHER at 11:00 a.m. & they started mine at almost 11:30 and she sat in the chair for 15 minutes before they started on her! Why book an appointment if they aren't going to honor the time? Overall, it was an alright experience. I'll probably go back to give it another shot because I was really happy with my nails (done by Tom & I usually don't care for mail nail techs because I feel they don't pay attention to detail but he was different). But, if the next time is similar to this visit, I won't be back again. P.S. It's a little pricey. I don't remember the name of the woman who did my nails and eyebrows, but she was horrible! It took her over ONE hour just to do a pink and white FILL. When she was done, I noticed my nails were filed unevenly and crooked! By this time I was so exasperated and ready to get out of there, I did not bring it up. She also waxed my eyebrows, claiming to be the best. Sadly, I trusted her word. She ruined my eyebrows by waxing off an entire chunk right in the middle of my right eyebrow. When I noticed it, I immediately brought it to her attention. She denied doing it! Unbelievable!!! To top everything off, I was charged $60 for a fill and eyebrow wax! Before they were called Polished Nails, they were Bambi nails. I had been going to them before they even became Bambi nails. A gentleman names Van bought it and renamed it Bambi Nails. Him and his wife Bebe, made the place feel like you were visiting with old friends. Polished Nails is still in the family but now his nephew owns it. STILL...the only place I will go to get my nails done! Everyone I've used there is great but I always ask for Mimi now. Went in today (Monday) to get a nail fixed and a color change. there was only one person in there other than myself. minor issues, like the nail shape being so off from the other ones. and not founding the underneaths so i have scratchy nails (well one). Also, the energy was just REALLY bad in this place. Everyone had their headphones in and there was no socialization with me or any other people. Also, The lady that did my nails had a HUGE open gash (think crater) on her finger and was not wearing a band aid or gloves. I even asked her to put on and she politely said " Oh this is healed. It will be ok." Again, nothing spectacular. could definitely use improvement Oh and she asked for me to pay first. I had just recently moved from California to Texas and had been looking for a nail salon, so after reading and reading about the many different places, I decided to give them a try and I am so very glad I did! Was able to just walk right in have my nails done correctly and right with no issues or problems. Very willing and very attentive to what I wanted, liked, and thought about how I wanted my nails. They also are very polite and friendly. Made me feel at home an ease about having my services done. So I think I have found a new home for my hands and feet! The manicure was ok, again nothing spectacular. The water to soak my nails in was cold, not used to that, maybe it's just how they do it. For some reason I did feel like she was rushing a little bit, the massage was basically slapping a lot of lotion on my arm and hand a rubbing for about a minute. Went there Saturday 2/17/18. Drive across town to go to them. Always pleased. BUT - asked for an eyebrow was and she talked me into a full facial wax - BAD DECISION. I have burns to my face, fixing to leave for vacation and the manager won't return my calls. If you need pics I have them. They have a large selection of nail polishes , powders , and gel colors to choose from. They also have numerous different scrubs and lotions that can be mixed and matched with the pedicure packages. The lady that always sits in the front and does nothing is very rude and disrespectful. One lady who I was getting a pedicure done by was very rough and inconsiderate. She was also really rude when you try talking to her. The staff doesn't care about you just your money. They are trying to make the facility nice but it's not nice. They up charge you for one nail polish which is so dumb you might as well bring your own. The lady at the front is dumb and rude and will argue with you and not even try to apologize for anything. I don't know who runs this place but the staff is trash. There is never a manager around. Anytime of the day you ask they just stepped out or away for the day. This place is a joke. There are so many nice salons in Katy with a fair price and they are respectful and nice. Don't waste your time or money here. Go somewhere else. read more
