I walked in for my appointment and was immediately helped since the place was quiet at 2pm on a Friday - in and out within 30 minutes! The gentleman at the front explained the services and pricing very clearly and the nail techs were very friendly. I got gel nails (last longer) with Catseye polish - they were $55, and I believe the dip nail option was $65. They don't have a menu of prices at the front so you'll have to ask. OK, so listen I've always been very self-conscious of my nails because I was the kid who would pick at her nailbeds and hangnail when she got nervous, so I never got to wear really cute polish and being left-handed was incredibly difficult to paint my nails. I brought my phone with my own collection of Instagram, photos of nails that I would like to have done. (I was feeling adventurous, and have been successful in growing out my natural nails. Jenny, who is an absolute angel and a master artist at her craft. Had the most beautiful nails, and I instantly fell in love, and the smallest animal like squeal of excitement escaped my mouth when I saw them. I told her oh my God please do my nails exactly like yours. I love them so much. When I tell you that she did an amazing job was gentle, kind and a great conversationalist. my nails look amazing. I just moved to the area and was looking on Yelp for somewhere close with good reviews. I found a closer place first but they had an hour wait so I looked again and found this place. I was greeted right away, asked to sign in and have a seat. She brought me colors to look at and I only waited about 3 minutes. Took me back and got me started right away with a pedicure and refill. They took their time and did a fantastic job, I'm going on three weeks and my nails still look great. She put an extra powder on top and my nails are so shiny and have gotten lots of compliments. I had the worst experience I've ever had with my nails here last week. I asked for a simple design of French tip in red chrome with a heart on 2 fingers. After being told yes they can do it, that is when the upcharging started, it went from $70, to $90, to $95, and so on until they finally said $115. I agreed to the price even though it was incredibly high for what I was asking for. I was there for 3 hours and left with a solid painted nail because they did not know what they were doing. I was still charged $65 and walked out of the salon in tears because of my nails. I think they didn't know how to do chrome or didn't want to do it and instead of just saying that they tried to increase the price so I would say no and didn't know what to do when I accepted the price. She said she is going to ask for him again. Tina did a great job for me as well. When we were paying we were informed they have a new sign in/paying system and to please be patient. (No problem!) I believe it was the owner(a very beautiful friendly lady) that was helping the gentlemen through the process. I love that it keeps track of who did your service. One thing - when you check in on Yelp it gives you a 10% coupon. The gentlemen told us that they no longer honor those coupon. I think this is our new place for pedicures. I've had really great experience when I come here. Normally Ms. Rose does my nails & she's wonderful. But on Saturday I came in & requested a certain design (which I brought a picture of) & I wanted a curve (arch) in my nails. The lady who did my nails (I didn't catch her name) asked me if I wanted colored acrylic (nude) & shellac polish for the color. I said no I wanted regular acrylic & shellac polish for both colors. She then decided nope nude acrylic would look then best & that's what we're doing! She asked a few times if I wanted a "hump" in my nails. I said yes I want a curve in my nails, I don't want flat nails! As she starts placing acrylic I notice two of my nails have a dip/dent. I point it out & she tells me, oh don't worry I fix. When she started to paint my nails, I asked how to she was fix the dip/dent in the acrylic, I got told "don't worry haha!" I figured at that point if she fixed the dent I wouldn't care that my nails are flat. Once I was fully dried I showed her yet again & now she says "oh it's the polish!!" At that point I was beyond ticked off. She put oil on my nail cuticles & sent me off to pay. I now have spent $85 on nails that are flat nails have dips & aren't the design I requested! I absolutely hate them! I truly loved coming here, but after this I doubt I'll be back! read more
