Came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary to spend the first half of the day. We had gone to one of these giant spa places years ago and wanted to return but couldn't remember the name or the location. We thought this might be it. Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. We walked around the whole place but couldn't find the outside terrace area, even after consulting a map of the place. The ocher bead sauna was my fav. The fire room is unbearably hot. They don't allow shoes in the spa areas but I think they need to make an exception for that room. They have rugs all over the floor and layered ontop of each other in there and it still doesn't make a difference. I became stuck in there because the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. I was standing on a super thin towel I brought in with me. I had to call for my husband to bring me another towel so I could make a makeshift pathway to the door so I could get out. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. I spent a solid amount of time in there getting ready bc I had a fancy dinner with my husband afterwards so I used all the space and amenities to get ready :) Oh forgot to mention - check Groupon. I recently visited SpaWorld for a day of relaxation. Upon arrival, the front desk informed me of an issue with their water heater. While the pools were still warm, they were not at their normal temperatures, and the showers were also affected. As a result, they offered a 15% discount on the day pass. When you arrive, you must remove your shoes and place them in a locker before you can check-in. After check-in, you will receive a locker key that matches your shoe key and an outfit for the common areas. Since this is a traditional Korean spa, the locker rooms and soaking areas are gender-segregated and nude-only, and phones are strictly prohibited in these areas. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The locker room includes a concierge for scheduling services and a kiosk for essentials like socks and face masks. Before entering the bathhouse area, you must take a shower. The bathhouse features four hot tubs, a cold plunge tub, a dry sauna and steam room. One of the hot tubs and the steam room had a herbal infusion blend. The common area downstairs offered six different dry saunas, one cold room and a quiet zone for reading or napping. There is also a snack bar, daycare center and a sitting area. Upstairs they had additional amenities including an infrared room, two meditation rooms, a movie theater, virtual golf, and a bar. This was my first Korean spa experience. Upon entering you place your shoes in a locker. Men and women have separate locker rooms, each with it's own hot & cold soaking bath/pool. I ate first. I enjoyed egg rolls, bulgoli fries, and chicken wings. The food was pretty delicious. They also have a bar next to the golf lanes. There are a bunch of different rooms here & they also have a theater. I opted for the 100 minute Goddess special scrub. This was an amazing experience that everyone needs to pamper themselves with. This is a very intense scrub but also pampering. I was wrapped in a foil blanket that caused me to sweat. This is a must do if you're in the Houton area. We thought we were going to a location we had been before but unfortunately it wasn't and we ended up going here instead. Nevertheless we still had a great time. The spas and bath areas were super clean and enjoyable. Just beware of the fire room in the very back. We could only handle 5 min or less. I've been visiting Korean bathhouses since 2009 and I have to say Spa World is one of the best. Between this and another well-known bathhouse in Houston, I can't say which one I like more. They each offer something unique but Spa World stands out because of how much they have to offer. It caters to the whole family. Your kids will love the indoor playground while you enjoy your spa time. The signage in the bath area, especially for newcomers. is so very helpful. One tip I'd offer would be to buy a pair of slip-socks. (It cost $4. But if you want to wear your own socks you can.) After soaking in the baths it helps to keep your feet clean and soft while moving through the spa. The bath area is set up with two hot baths and two warm baths. They are spacious with enough room for several people to be in it at once. The cold bath is just right for getting into after the hot bath. While soaking in the baths I noticed how often someone came in to wash down the shower areas. I also appreciated the signage that labeled what items were used and which ones were clean. As for the sauna rooms, wow, they are impressive. I love how soft my skin feels days after I've been to the bathhouse. The Salt Room is intense in the best way. I sat in there for about 15 minutes just allowing my body to get what it needed. One of my favorite rooms was the Gold Room. It's shaped like an Egyptian pyramid. The temperature isn't too hot. It was set to 112 degrees fahrenheit. I went in there after having lunch (which is recommended on their website) at the restaurant on the second floor and it was a perfect room to relax and prepare myself for the hotter rooms. There are also private, quiet rooms that you can take a nap in when your body calls for one. In between saunas you can relax at the full bar on the second floor, or the book nook, or play a game of simulated golf. I ended my time in the forest room where it's quiet and serene. Between the comfortable temperature and the chirping birds sound, you can easily catch a power nap that'll have you feeling refreshed and ready for your day. read more

You have to take off your shoes in the front so bring socks. I think they should at least have slippers for you to put on when you arrive. I also which they would at least offer "sanitary" swimsuits for purchase for those that don't want to be naked in the baths but would like to indulge. I know this is the norm but . I didn't realize that the only showers were in the open bath area so be aware of that if you want to shower before you leave. The food was delicious and they have wine based cocktails available. The mocktails were not available when we went so our pregnant friend couldn't partake. The outfits should be able to mix and match for sizes my shirt waa big and my shorts were snug. This wasn't my first time here, so I felt pretty prepared for what it was. That said, this is not a spa in the sense that you're going to receive any kind of treatment. This is very much self-inflicted relaxation- meaning you have to relax yourself. When you walk in, you put your shoes away and head straight to the desk. To echo other reviews, there isn't much guidance at all- you kind of just have to know what you're doing. The employees unfortunately aren't really there to greet you or do much beyond checking you in. If you want a towel after showering, it's best to bring your own; otherwise, you'll have to pay for one. They only provide hand towels. The locker rooms look pretty "clean" visually, but there are some murky smells in the shower area that are hard to ignore. The main areas consist of multiple rooms. If you bring a book, you'll be in good shape to occupy yourself. The entire point is to be relaxed and quiet. There are signs asking guests to keep noise down, but some people don't seem to respect that. I really wish an employee were available to help enforce it because, at the end of the day, people come here for the quiet. The temperatures, textures, and overall sensory experience of the rooms really do add to the atmosphere, but it's hard to fully enjoy any of that when there's constant chatter around you. Lastly, we ordered food from the café. The flavor was great, no doubt about that. But $23 for one bowl?? We decided to try this place since they had a Groupon special which was probably $15 off of the original price. When we got there, the ladies were not friendly whatsoever. They did not welcome us or greet us but pretty much asked us what we wanted, which was pretty upsetting. We mentioned to the lady at the front that we had a Groupon and she declined to honor the deal we had. The price difference was $15 and I had bought two so total savings was $30. She mentioned we could pay the difference if we wanted to come in and so we did. However, the disrespect and false claim that they accept the Groupon discount already had me upset. We came into the women's locker room and honestly, it was nothing compared to Gangnam Spa, which we actually should've just gone to. They did have a good amount of pools, with a mix of hot and cold pools, however, the sauna and steam rooms we're very small. Probably the capacity of up to five people, which was disappointing. We wanted to book a spa experience, specifically the massage however there was never someone to take our order in the locker room. We usually spend the whole day at the spawn, but we cut it early since it was not what we really expected it to be. They did have some rooms like a forest, relaxation room, a cold room, a hot room with beads on the ground, with all several different benefits, however you could not relax because all the doors literally squeaked as people came in and out. I found all of the rooms thoroughly enjoyable (aside from the cold room but that's absolutely personal preference), especially the ocher ball room and infrared sauna. The food is delicious and I love the inclusivity of the golf simulator for individuals who may want something different. Absolutely will be coming back! And for my more modest friends: they do allow you to wear your own appropriate attire if you're uncomfortable with wearing shorts in co-ed areas! My friend and I came here on a Tuesday evening to decompress. We found a Groupon for this location and went for it. This is a rundown for the spa. This is a Korean spa . When you first come to check in or buy tickets, you need to take off your shoes. Then you need to go to the locker room to change into their uniform and get two small towels. They'll give you a bracelet for scanning for any food or drinks that you buy while you're there . Their locker is like a high school size locker so you could put a backpack and a big bag in there. You're not allowed to use your phones in the locker room for privacy. And they do enforce that which I'm really glad about. (I had an emergency call and I forgot that rule and they called me out on that.) When you're in the locker room, I like to go take a quick shower in their baths rooms. In this section, you have to be fully nude. Like I am not kidding. Anyways, in this area, you can pay for an appointment have a body scrub to help exfoliate your skin . You can soak in various different temperature baths and there are two saunas. For showering there's a stand-up version and the sitdown version. They have a set of chairs that are clean and used so make sure you pay attention to those signs. They also have shampoo, conditioner, a soap bar, hair dryer if you want to use theirs. You are welcome to bring your own materials. After you're done with the quick rinse or if you just changing into your uniform , you can go out into the common areas where it is coed. There are a lot of different hot rooms of varying temperatures or texture , restaurants kids area, bar, theater, etc. There's also a lot of of lobby areas if you want to bring out your laptop and just chill. You can take your phone out in the coed areas and carry your phone with you. it's up to you if you want to bring the phone into the hot rooms but they have a small tray outside the hot rooms that you could just leave your phone there . They also have a restaurant and a small dessert café. The food is very mediocre and a little pricey. But I was here for five hours so I was pretty hungry. After I'm done with all the coed area, I go back to the locker and baths room and relax there and take a final shower to end the trip. Check out and pay for whatever I ordered. There's always at least one staff member within eyesight if you ever have any questions or concerned about something . In the locker room they have some small things if you need to buy tampons, face, mask, brush, toothbrush, etc for purchase. This place is good for like a couple or bestie hang out time. ( there is no coed locker rooms.) They do offer parties and large groups but I prefer one on one for quality time. Mind you this place is more focus on heat relaxation . There is one ice room. I learned about this spa from a friend. We purchased a Groupon to be used Monday-Thursday. This was my first time experiencing an all day spa. When you walk in you have to put your shoes in a locker and retrieve the key. They have a women's side and men's side. Take the key to the desk and they'll check you in from there. The key you choose is the locker number once inside the locker rooms. If you pick an odd number key on the women's side those are top lockers and even numbers are bottom lockers fyi. The check in process was easy and they confirm if you purchased any other services such as massage. I purchased the Korean scrub for $115. They give you a wristband with your locker number and key, a uniform, and a small towel after checking in. Once in the women's locker room and pool area it's definitely an adjustment, because everyone is nude. Again, this was my first time at a place like this. The staff were helpful in helping me navigate the process. I highly encourage you to bring a bag of your own toiletries if you don't want to use their complimentary soaps, shampoo, and conditioners. If you prefer a bigger towel to dry off bring one from home. They do have a case filled with forgotten items for purchase e.g. tampons, pads, hair ties, shower caps etc... They do have a complimentary water machine for cups of water. Before you get in pools you MUST take a shower! There are several stations to do so with soap and shampoo provided. Your hair must be tied up in a bun before getting in the pools. There is someone monitoring the areas the entire time to ensure no one is taking photos/recording or engaging in sexual activities in the pool. If you paid for massages and scrubs there are private stations in the pool area where the service takes place. The ladies call your number and the service begins. The Korean scrub was 10/10. The lady took her time and was gentle. FYI all Korean scrubs come with hair washing. If you do not want your hair washed tell them in advance. I didn't know this until I checked out for the day. Once we left the pool area, we dressed in the uniforms provided and tried out the various rooms throughout. Once you leave the gender specific locker rooms/pools, the rooms are coed. Each room had different temperatures and benefits which was very nice and relaxing. Everyone was respectful to ensure silence in the rooms to relax. They even have nap rooms, movie room, Pilates, a gym, golfing, bar, and cafeteria. You can spend all day here. You pay for food/drinks with your wristband. You pay the tab when you checkout for the day. For my first time here, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I felt as though everything was reasonably priced and the customer service was great. I look forward to adding this place to my self care routine as it is very peaceful. One of the biggest disappointments in life! My friend and I went to Spa World in Katy for a wash, thinking we'd try something new, since we've always gone to Gangnam Spa. Despite some minor flaws, Gangnam Spa has always been great--thoughtful design, friendly staff, and everything well-planned. You're comfortable everywhere--whether with socks or not, and you have mats or pads--something convenient in every corner. Here? Total disappointment from start to finish. First, they make you remove your shoes and walk barefoot through the main corridor--no socks allowed--until you reach the reception zone to check in and get a uniform. Then, in every dry sauna--like the hot stone rooms--it's impossible to be comfortable: you can't sit, stand, or lie down because all surfaces are scorching hot. Nothing is thoughtfully arranged--just horribly inconvenient. Everything feels unfinished--like an old facility with peeling walls, exposed wires, and zero relaxation vibe. The atmosphere doesn't exist. Staff? Unwelcoming. And it's absolutely not worth it. When you enter the separate male/female pool zones, the water is dirty and murky. Cleaning is rare. And 80% of the sit-down showers (for washing in that traditional East Asian style) were broken. So, you're stuck with standing showers--ruining that comfort too. And the cherry on top? Even with discounts, it's more expensive than Gangnam Spa. We are definitely not going back. What a terrible experience--Spa World is absolutely not a spa. read more

We walked in when it opened and we didn't know the process, the front desk ladies just looked at us until we asked the questions. They were nice though. Then they couldn't tell us at that moment if out gift cards would apply because they had to call a number at 10 to verify. That was weird. This is a nice spot. Everything was clean. They had quit a few hot rooms and one cold room. We all got massages. I don't like that the massage ladies stare at the screen while you enter your tip. It is peaceful. ***A LOT OF UNSANITARY AREAS***** A place of relaxation and comfort for the mind. It is a very noisy place in most areas and completely not what I expected. As you walk in the first thing you are required of is to remove shoes and place in a locker to receive a key (This should be written on the website or emphasized when you call for information. Once you pay for entrance fee (Mon - Thurs $45.00, Sat & Sun $55.00. Then you are greeted by front desk staff. EMILY AND MAKAYLA were absolutely amazing; however, most staff on the inside don't speak ENGLISH. It makes no sense to me honestly. You are than required to obtain an outfit, wristband for purchases and proceed to the spa. This is where you exchange your shoe key for locker room in women's shower area. ( Make sure you don't leave without paying, INTERESTING!!!! ****Right behind the desk is an open area with sofas, television and a photo opportunity with KING style Chairs and half circle ottomans. It is a unique area. ****No one is there to give you further instructions so if you keep walking forward then you are left with trying to find your way or read signs. We were walking and trying to figure it out and then someone greeted us to walk back toward the front to the changing room. The entrance is to the right of the first room which was not relayed. ****We enter changing room and there is a oriental lady sitting behind a case with a cash register. As you walk farther there are about 4 ladies near another case with products to sell (perfume, socks, facial mask, sanitary items, shower caps etc). Of course they will find ways to make more money. Then you have lockers for your personal items that match your armband to make purchases. This area is STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR WOMEN ONLY which is where you change into your SPA outfit to enjoy all of the amenities. DOWNSTAIRS: Sauna rooms, 5 pools starting at 98 degrees , one with jets that is not functioning properly (SOME OF THE JETS DON'T WORK) and one cold pool, two saunas rooms, 5 scrub areas ( YOU MUST SHOWER FIRST, THEY ONLY PROVIDE BAR SOAP WHICH IS SOOOOOO UNSANITARY, BUT THEY HAVE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN PUMP GALLOON BOTTLES) HAIR IS NOT ALLOWED IN POOL, MUST PUT IN AN UP DO STYLE OR TIE UP ( SHOULD BE TOLD BEFORE YOU ARRIVE). There are private bathrooms and two private shower areas if you don't like to be in the open. ALL POOL AREAS IN WATER IS TOTALLY NUDE NO EXCEPTION. You are allowed to bring your towel ( $2.00 charge to rent a big towel) Bring your own big towel ( SHOULD BE RELAYED AHEAD OF TIME). Scrub area is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Although I am curious as to how they are cleaned, how often are they changed and how are they stored. Spa World in Katy offers a high quality, relaxing , and comprehensive spa experience with several saunas, baths, and themed rooms. Spa World is a Korean spa. It is massive with separate facilities for men and women. Upon arrival, the front desk staff instructs you to remove your shoes. You then select a numbered key which will be used in the dressing areas and you are issued a uniform. The locker rooms are gender specific with areas to undress, shower, blow dry your hair, and store your belongings. They also have things for purchase like face masks! The bath areas or bathing pools are accessed by walking through the locker rooms. These areas are also gender specific as you are required to enter the pools nude. There are several different baths all heated at varying levels. There is also a cold bath. Each bath promotes different health benefits. In the main spa area, you have access to several sauna rooms (all heated to different levels and beautifully decorated/themed), a cold room, the forest room, an infrared room, the cafeteria, a snack bar, and an adult bar. Additionally, you can ask for access to the movie room or reserve the karaoke room. The saunas vary in size but will easily accommodate 5-10 people. The clay bead sauna room is a crowd favorite. One can lay in a pool of warm clay beads that contour to the curves of their body and rest easy. Other services can be added to your base experience like a massage or body scrub. I chose to get a Swedish massage. My masseuse was very professional and did a fabulous job making me feel comfortable. She gave several options for pressure and delivered a very thorough massage. The 60 minute massage add in was ~$100 before tip. There were several options for eating. I ordered the shrimp glass noodles which was served fresh. It was a good portion size; I was able to share with a friend. I also ordered a drink downstairs from the snack bar which was very tasty. My experience at Spa World was excellent! Because it was my birthday, they also gave me a free moisturizing face mask. I have been to Spa World again since my first trip, and I plan to return again soon! This was not my first visit to Spa World in Katy, and I was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. During my visit, there was a group of about 10-12 young girls (around ages 10-12) celebrating a birthday. They were very loud and disruptive throughout their time there. In a spa environment where relaxation is the main reason people come, it was difficult to unwind with that level of noise. I understand that celebrations happen, but I do feel the staff should have stepped in to gently remind them to keep their voices down. If the noise continued, further action should have been taken. Guests pay for a peaceful, relaxing experience, and that simply wasn't possible during this visit. Additionally, I found the restaurant pricing to be unreasonable. I paid $18 for two small frozen egg rolls (with no meat) and one onigiri. For the portion size and quality, the price felt excessive. I have enjoyed Spa World in the past, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management takes guest comfort and dining value into consideration so future visits can reflect the relaxing atmosphere the spa is known for. read more

This was my second time here the first time I waa solo but I enjoyed so much i wanted the Mr to enjoy the experience. Upon arrival you place your shoes in a locker ( no shoes allowed)they are separated by gender. You grab the key and take it to the front desk. At which time they will take the key and assign you the same # locker inside , hand you your spa wear, place a wristband on you which is attached to your account and allows you to purchase food, drinks etc. You then gonto the locker room wear you either change into your spa clothes our stay nudes and take advantage of the 5 pools and 2 saunas they have(not clothes allowed in the pools. You are requires to rinse off prior to getting in. This place is also where you get massages(that have to be booked early or even prior to visit) Once you complete tge pools there's showers shampoo soap etc to was you off and bow you go back to the locker room and get dressed to take advantage of the multiple rooms they have you can relax in with your partner. They also have outside rooftop chill areas a full bar, inside golf movie theater and a very large lounge area with a little menu and diner area.The shrimp was delicious but a little overpriced)Definitely enjoyed all the different healing rooms (they tell you what each room supposed to help you with) Plan to stay a minimum of 4+ hours to take advantage of everything it has to offer you will not be disappointed read more

There are only about 5 rooms available downstairs and 2 more upstairs with a movie theatre (also with limited seating). For my birthday I decided a spa day would be the perfect way to celebrate. This was my first Korean-style spa experience and overall I really enjoyed my visit. I ended up spending around 6 hours here. I scheduled a massage and had lunch afterwards. The remainder of my time was spent exploring the various rooms and saunas. Upon entering, you're notified to remove your shoes and pick a locker. The spa is a no shoes facility, so make sure to bring socks!! From there you're issued your wristband, key to larger locker in gender specific areas, and a comfy lounge shirt and short set. Since it was my birthday I was given a free face mask. One of the workers gave me a quick tour and after that I was off to enjoy my day. Everyone was extremely helpful and the environment was calming and comfortable. Make sure to read all signs posted. There are no phone allowed areas and quiet areas, so be mindful. Food....honestly I wasn't too impressed with my bulgogi bowl. It was okay, but definitely overpriced. I wouldn't get it again. I did like the fact they have water fountains around the facility so you can keep your water bottles filled. Massage....amazing! I received the Swedish massage and I enjoyed. The Himalayan salt room, Yellow Ocher Clay Ball room, and Jade room were my favorites! I would definitely visit again. read more

They forgot to clean it or what? I found hair in every single pool. Eww. The wet sauna was smelly. I did a deluxe scrub (80 mins, $140) and the technician finished within 75 mins. I just found minor scratches on my legs now. I hope at least they dispose the gloves after each customer? Food: the bibimpap was good but the cold noodle was a huge let down. From the variety of saunas and pools to all the relaxing lounge/nap areas, you could easily spend an entire day here just recharging. Everything feels so clean and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The best part of spa world was the Swedish massage but everything else was lacking from the spa experience I expected. I love a Korean spa but will be going to others instead Arrival: Maybe we were unlucky but today there were several large parties coming in at the same time as us. The entry area is quite small and everything seemed to be pretty chaotic and confused (not how we expected to start a spa day). There are lockers here for your shoes, but then you have to walk back across the entryway barefoot (where everyone walked in their shoes) to checkin. There are no shoes or socks provided but you can buy socks in the women's locker room (and other bathing items). You are given an outfit and 1 towel Locker room / bath The Locker room is as expected. I do wish the lockers had a mirror in them but there's an area to get ready out of the Locker rows. The baths are extremely disappointing. Half of the showers only have scorching hot water that doesn't seem to have a cooler setting. The temp gauges on the tubs and saunas don't seem to all be function. The 98* tub was lukewarm, the 108* was as expected, one tub didn't seem functional at all, the 124* sauna was cool and the cooler steam sauna was extremely hot.... also all the saunas had a gap under the door that let cool air in front the tub area... Shared space: The first floor has several different rooms which was nice, but all the rooms had a gap that let in air from outside. You also could hear every conversation because people don't follow the quiet area signs and have full conversations. I even tried to lay in one of the cubbies but someone jn the next one over was watching videos very loudly. Quiet rules were not enforced anywhere making it difficult to relax. Restaurant The food at the restaurant was pretty satisfying but the seating was very uncomfortable. It also was right next to the golf which was pretty loud as well. People also didn't have shoes/socks here which was unappealing (and I'm so glad I brought my own socks). We did opt for additional massages and I loved the Swedish massage I got. I could still hear all the conversations outside the room though. Overall it was a pricey spa day, and was a gift to my mom for her bday/mother's day and left us leaving not fully satisfied. By far the cleanest Korean spa I've ever been to! Maybe because I'm from New York but wow, Houston is clean! They had so may themed rooms and even a HUGE children's play area. This past Friday was my first time here. I was telling my best friend that I needed a massage, and I've been meaning to book one. I also saw that this place did Korean body scrubs and I was sold. I booked the Scrub Plus and my bestie book a 60-minute Swedish massage. Upon entering you have to remove your shoes, place them in a locker, check in and pay the entry fee. I found a coupon on Groupon the night before that allowed me to get in for 37.40 (first win). We were directed to the women's locker room to get undressed and put on the uniforms provided or wrap in a towel. I wrapped in a towel to shower and soak before my body scrub. My therapist was on time and she scrubbed a layer off of me. For an hour she scrubbed be head to toe, covered me in coconut oil, rinsed me numerous times, gave me a massage, washed and finished me off with a warm milk rinse. After may scrub, we walked around and explored the spa. That ride home was hard as a I was so relaxed all I wanted to do was sleep. I will now start to fit this into my self care cycle. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. Yesterday was my first and last time visiting Spa World Houston. I have been to two other Korean Spa brands. One in LA and one in Houston. Both were so peaceful. Both offered a really relaxing, quiet experience throughout the entire spa. Spa World was at times as loud as a busy airport or mall food court. It was as if the Quiet zone signs were jokes. It was unreal. There is no attempt by staff to keep quiet areas quiet. In the Ocher Ball Pit there was a group of boys (seemingly teens) burying each other in the beads while laughing and talking loud. It was like being at a kid's play land or sports complex. I ventured to the sleep pods and still the noise level was was out of control even with ear pods on. The more I type about this experience the more I think I am going to request a refund. The only quiet place during my visit was the wet rooms . I did like the fact that if you wanted to add a service after checking in you could do so in the locker rooms. I was surprised that they charge for lg towel usage. The locker rooms, unlike other brands I have been to, do not offer benches in front of the lockers so there isn't a place to sit or put anything as you dress and undress which is inconvenient. They also do not offer water dispensers throughout the facility. If you want water you have to purchase a bottle which is not the case with most other brands. At times it felt like Spa World Houston was a discount version of a Korean Day Spa WITHOUT the discounted price tag. The front desk staff was efficient. Not welcoming but not rude. The person at the snack bar at on the first level seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. The staff throughout the rest of the spa was kind and welcoming. I did not receive any addional services. I purchased a general admissions pass. I give the service offerings and facility a B. Overall staff customer service a B minus. Overall Spa Experience a D due to the noise levels. I planned to spend at least 4 hrs there. I left early. It was pointless. I took a friend there so we could unwind and relax after a busy week. This is NOT the place to go and relax in the common areas. Go to Gangham if you are in the Houston area. I wish I had read the yelp reviews before going. The noise levels being an issue at this location seems to be a consistent issue according to Yelpers over the years and has not been rectified. Update in Response To Business: The teens were not minors, they came in unsupervised at the same time I arrived. My guess is that they were in their late teens or early 20s. I didn't encounter any children/minors during my visit. The loud talking and laughing in the Quiet Areas were from adults. Not only the college aged boys in the ball pit loud, others throughout the main floor were very noisy. It seems to be a repeated complaint by Yelpers. Glad to hear it may be addressed by staff. Currently writing in spa world and am highly disappointed. From check in I was told they ran out of a certain towel but I decided to let it go to enjoy my experience. To my surprise the entire experience has been unsatisfactory. The NOISE LEVEL IS OUT OF CONTROL. There was not one place in the entire facility where I could have quiet time. It sounded like I was in a high school cafeteria. Upstairs to get food and drink was the same experience. The sound of the golf balls hitting the wall was alarming. I did enjoy the thorough scrub I received but to say it was a relaxing experience would be a lie. Even in the sleep pod I have to constantly ask guests to lower their voices. Staff weren't reinforcing the quiet signs and guest took advantage. I will not be returning here. I've seen what the expectation should be and this did not meet it. read more

Hey fam! I'm super excited to be back and reviewing some awesome places. Today, I'm reviewing a spa in Houston you're going to want to run towards. Let's jump right into it! Spa World is the next level real deal. It's very serene, relaxing, and clean. If you've never gone, you're in for a treat. When you walk in, you're directed to put your shoes in a locker which will have a key. That key is your assigned number. You'll bring the key to the front desk, check in, and pay. You'll receive loungewear for wearing in the common area and a small towel. Additional towels are in the locker rooms. Listen! This is my third time here, so obviously it's a great place to relax. Anyway, you have the first level where you have the locker rooms for both men and women. Please be advised that the locker rooms are fully nude. If you decide to relax in the pools and baths, you'll have to take a shower first and be completely nude. Respectfully, no phone or recording devices are allowed in that area for obvious reasons, so I'm unable to show the actual inside. However, it is definitely relaxing and clean. Full staff is present and are very helpful. Once you come out the locker room, there is a small cafe and about seven relaxing rooms you can check out on the first level. My favorite rooms on the ground level are the pyramid, followed by the jade room. Also, if you have children, there is a place for them too. Once you navigate upstairs, the magic happens. You have a restaurant, golf simulator, full bar, vip room, a movie room, some additional relaxation rooms and a large lounging area for sleep and relaxation. Make sure to check out the forest room, which is literally a relaxing virtual nature walk that puts me to sleep instantly. Also, make sure to check out the restaurant upstairs. The food is phenomenal, but the pricing is a smidge high for the food. However, it is definitely worth it. You're looking at anywhere from $8 - $22 for menu items. Keep in mind, you'll need your checkin number watch that you will use for your purchases. This keeps track of all additional expenses you incur while in the spa. Once you check out, you'll make the payment for the items on your watch. The services they offer are massages and scrubs. They are fairly priced, but make sure to book a time in advance. This place is popular and the massages can be booked fairly quickly. I REPEAT! Plan in advance if you want to get a massage or body scrub. Also, I highly recommend the scrub/goddess. It's a little pricey, but your body will thank you. The staff are very polite. Don't be afraid to speak and ask questions. They are there to help you.
