However, after visiting the location I discovered they are masters of the "bait and switch" pricing scheme. When we arrived, May, took us to the couple's room. When I returned she advised me they offered three types of massages and that the AcuQi was the best one. The way it was presented made it seem like it was one of three types included in the package I already paid a deposit for. She then mentioned that hot stones could be added and when I asked how much she said $15 per person for one area. I agreed to pay the extra for the hot stone massage. When it was time to check out I was advised that we could save $10 if we left a 5-star review on Google before we left, hence the good ratings because they are giving you a $10 "discount". After I wrote the review, she advised me that we owed $160 minus the $10 for the review so we owed $150 on top of the $80 deposit we already paid. She said the AcuQi massage was $110 per person but as you can see from the screenshot it's listed as $90 per person on the website. The couples massage is listed as $130 but I was charged $160, as you can see from the screenshots. They also charge you a 3.95% fee for using a credit card but there is no fee if you use Venmo or Zelle. She never rung anything up on a cash register and gave me my total on a Post-it note. The fact that they are using Venmo and Zelle and not tracking their charges leads me to believe they are NOT paying their taxes or reporting their sales accurately. DO NOT use this place because they are dishonest. A potential client called while we were waiting and she pushed the AcuQi massage on her telling her it was the best they offered. I forgot to mention my massage was horrible! He used heavy pressure even after I asked him to lighten up.

We had…read moregone to one of these giant spa places years ago and wanted to return but couldn't remember the name or the location. We thought this might be it. Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. We walked around the whole place but couldn't find the outside terrace area, even after consulting a map of the place. The ocher bead sauna was my fav. The fire room is unbearably hot. They don't allow shoes in the spa areas but I think they need to make an exception for that room. They have rugs all over the floor and layered ontop of each other in there and it still doesn't make a difference. I became stuck in there because the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. I was standing on a super thin towel I brought in with me. I had to call for my husband to bring me another towel so I could make a makeshift pathway to the door so I could get out. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. I spent a solid amount of time in there getting ready bc I had a fancy dinner with my husband afterwards so I used all the space and amenities to get ready :) Oh forgot to mention - check Groupon. We got our tickets at a discounted rate. Front desk ppl were nice and explained things thoroughly and easily.

While the pools were still warm, they were not at their normal temperatures, and the showers were also affected. As a result, they offered a 15% discount on the day pass. When you arrive, you must remove your shoes and place them in a locker before you can check-in. After check-in, you will receive a locker key that matches your shoe key and an outfit for the common areas. Since this is a traditional Korean spa, the locker rooms and soaking areas are gender-segregated and nude-only, and phones are strictly prohibited in these areas. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The locker room includes a concierge for scheduling services and a kiosk for essentials like socks and face masks. Before entering the bathhouse area, you must take a shower. The bathhouse features four hot tubs, a cold plunge tub, a dry sauna and steam room. One of the hot tubs and the steam room had a herbal infusion blend. The common area downstairs offered six different dry saunas, one cold room and a quiet zone for reading or napping. There is also a snack bar, daycare center and a sitting area. Upstairs they had additional amenities including an infrared room, two meditation rooms, a movie theater, virtual golf, and a bar. I spent four hours here and left feeling incredibly relaxed. If you are ever in the Houston area and looking to decompress, I highly recommend stopping by SpaWorld.

My friend booked the appointment for the three of us, and I specifically mentioned before the service that I did not want the facial portion of the package. The front desk reassured me that it wasn't a facial -- just a light face massage -- but that turned out to be completely untrue. The experience went downhill immediately. We received almost no instructions about what to do or expect. Once I laid down, my masseuse started working directly on my face without saying a word. She never asked if I was wearing makeup (which I was), and began rubbing and tapping my face in strange circular motions, then applied some unknown substance. I told her to stop and explained that I have allergies and didn't want anything put on my face. Because she didn't speak any English, another staff member had to translate. She stopped briefly, wiped off my face, but then started massaging my face again with the same unknown product. At that point, I was extremely upset and uncomfortable. She also pressed down on my eyelids several times, knocking off some of my lash extensions and even dislodging one of my contact lenses. Afterward, my friends told me they had almost identical experiences. One of them had oil and water get into her eyes, and the masseuse was extremely rough. By the end of the session, all of our faces were burning. I had also added a hot stone massage, which I deeply regretted. It felt awkward and unprofessional -- at one point she just handed me an oily stone to hold for no reason. She kept pulling my hair throughout, and my friend said her stylist didn't even use conditioner, only shampoo, which makes no sense for a "head spa." At the end, the masseuses began hitting the backs of our heads and pounding on our backs and shoulders -- not in a therapeutic way, just harsh and uncomfortable. There were no instructions afterward; we had to figure out ourselves that we were supposed to move for a "blowout," which ended up being a quick, rough blow-dry using cheap Pantene products. To top it off, as soon as the massages were over, the masseuses literally ran out of the building, and the host seemed eager to rush us out as well. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience from start to finish. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic care was unacceptable.

When I arrived, the person checking me in spoke no English and relied solely on a translation app. That in itself wasn't the issue--I was patient--but she asked me to fill out forms she couldn't understand about my skin issues and insisted I pay, even though my husband had already prepaid for the services. She also kept pressing me about how I was going to leave a tip. A manager eventually came out, who spoke slightly more English, and confirmed that my services were already paid for, but the exchange created tension between staff. It was uncomfortable to watch them argue in front of me. During the treatment, the provider was unable to explain what products were being used or what steps were being performed, despite me asking. The services themselves did not feel "luxury" at all and did not match the level of quality my husband paid for in the package. After the session, I was once again confronted about tipping. Even after I explained I had no cash with me, the provider persisted several times, which felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. The manager had to intervene again, visibly frustrated with her staff. Overall, this was not a relaxing or professional experience. The lack of communication, pushiness for tips, and poor service quality made this feel far from the anniversary gift it was meant to be. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this facility

I clearly asked to maintain my platinum blonde with a soft lilac tone around my face. Instead, I left with dark grey and purple hair--nothing close to what I requested. Later that evening, I discovered severe breakage in my hair--front, back, and sides--signaling something had gone very wrong. The next day, August 6th, I returned and calmly explained the damage found in my hair. I was seen by the stylist, the salon director Brooke, and Mo Elkurdi, the owner. They all acknowledged the breakage and reassured me-- repeatedly--that they had the skill to fix it. Based on their confidence, I trusted them again. But the correction only made things worse: * My hair was left brassy, patchy, and uneven. * I voiced my dissatisfaction multiple times during the process, and each time I was reassured or brushed off. * I was eventually informed that the platinum result I initially requested would not be achievable again because I would need to bleach my hair again. This significant fact was never disclosed before the process began. Had I known this, I would never have agreed to continue services. Mo then offered a trim "in the back" to clean up any breakage, and he provided me with a mirror so I could see how much he would trim. Before he began, I explicitly requested to maintain my current length and only agreed to a minor trim in the back. However, my entire haircut was drastically altered, including noticeably shorter pieces and a lob-sided cut in the front, which I had not authorized. When I saw the results, I became visibly upset and started crying in the chair. Mo then said, "What is it?" I told him how I felt... and he walked away without saying anything. No apology. No compassion. I was left standing there alone, visibly emotional, and humiliated. I sat in my car to compose myself and then returned inside to respectfully request a refund. However, Mo, the owner, responded without hesitation, stating that they would not assist me. In that moment, he didn't just deny my request; he dismissed me outright, declaring, "We won't help you." When I asked why, he told me: "You find fault with everything. You're always going to be the type to find fault. We tried to help you, but you continue find fault and be a problem. I won't give you a refund." When I told him I would explore other ways to address the situation, he replied: When I told him I would explore other ways to address the situation, he replied: "Let's see if you're successful", uttered in a mocking tone that was completely unnecessary. Let me be very clear: If I were a white patron, I do not believe I would have been treated this way. My concerns would have been taken seriously, and I would have been offered a genuine solution. I wouldn't have been shamed for speaking up, and I certainly wouldn't have been dismissed so cruelly while crying in the salon chair. I've since disputed the charge with my bank. I'm sharing this review so others know that even when you're calm, respectful, and vulnerable--it may not be enough to be treated with dignity in certain spaces. No client, especially Black women, should be made to feel disposable simply for speaking up.
