The fresh strawberry daifuku was the one I had been craving for the longest time, and it absolutely lived up to the dream. It was one of those desserts that makes you pause after the first bite and immediately want another. We also tried the Japanese dango, and I loved that they were made fresh, because the texture was so soft and bouncy with none of that dry or hard center some places have. The kinako one was probably my favorite. The roasted soybean powder and sweet syrup went so well together, and the aroma was so comforting. The black sesame was also really good in a different way, deeper and nuttier, with a more classic taste that felt simple but memorable. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and made with care. Just had brunch, so even tough we were full, we really wanted to have some donuts from COPS, the sun was sunning and there was no line, life was great! We were welcomed right away as we walked in, though our tummies were full, we still were able to squeeze in a little sweet treat a quick look at the menu as we walked in and picked a 6-pack of cinnamon sugar. Grabbed a seat along the bench (no tables) and we nommed on a couple before we were on our way again. I can say the donuts are amazing when eaten fresh, but they also taste pretty great even if you're not able to enjoy them right away, so definitely check them out if you're in the neighbourhood!
