Our whole family went to David's grill for Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving. It was really nice. It was roomy. We had space for a family to sit and laugh and talk. The food was wonderful a wonderful selection, the abundance of it. I've never seen so much pie in my life besides lol definitely bring your family here. It's a great time. The ambience is excellent. A couple of weeks ago I tried the pancetta Greek salad and fell in love with it. I went back and tried it again. It was disappointing. The avocado portion was meager, the greens were colorless, the dressing flavorless and the croutons soggy. Lauren, the bartender mentioned that the texture of the croutons was due to soaking up the dressing. I disagree. They were flavorless and were not even moist. The first time that I had the salad the ciabatta bread croutons were sturdy. It was a joy to use them to pick up the olive oil and lemon dressing. Not this time. They were dry, flavorless and limp. Lauren also mentioned that last time she had the salad the croutons were not as crispy. Consistency is a key feature of quality. Located in the Red Hawk Golf and Country Cub in Sparks. Think I was here years ago at a Yelp event. I live downtown Reno and if you said to me let's go to David's, my initial reaction would be it's too far away. But really it was only 25 minutes without going on the highway. Go highway and cut your travel time in half. But worth the trip This is a very pretty setting. Plenty of outdoor seating surrounded by green and not parking spaces Apparently they also have a party venue, as there was a wedding going on today. Spacious inside .. tables not crowded together Today I had Fish and Chips. Generous portion, so dinner for tomorrow too. My two friends both opted for wings and salad. They were great. So food was really good. Service also very good. Full bar and nice wine list. If I've anything to complain about is that the parking is too far away. Even the handicapped parking was a bit of a walk. In fact one if our party had to be dropped at the door, as it was way to far to walk with a walker. Maybe they should have a golf cart shuttle, at least for the handicapped. Kids in bars? Why are kids allowed in bars with gaming when adults are trying to relax? I was in davids a few months back, and a young couple came in with an infant and sat at the bar with the poker machines and drank mimosas. Party on mom , but come on. i love families and babies .... But not in the bar. The bar is for adults . The restaurants have TVs so you can still watch the game , and we can enjoy our adult time at the bar. Come on, Davids! Had a side of biscuits & gravy, gravy definitely lacked flavor, biscuits were very dry. My companion had a burrito, which had juices dripping from it. Wasn't appetizing or appealing. Atmosphere wasn't what we expected from all the hype of Redhawk/David's Grill. It definitely needs a good cleaning, it was dingy, lighting in the back poor. Service was ok. This place is pretty cool. Went for lunch today. The sports memorabilia is pretty awesome to look at. On the golf course and very inviting inside. I had the cobb salad and it was huge. Great tasting. So we met some friends here. They have been he before. The food was good they did forget the chicken was asked for the salad me and the wife split. Found out later they changed us for it. David's grill is my favorite place for breakfast/brunch in sparks. You really can't beat the views and the food is excellent. They also have great drinks and cocktails. You'd expect high prices on a golf course, but they're completely reasonable. Everything here has always been 10/10. read more

We were there last night, had reservations for a larger group. We were given two tables, not even close to each other. When I asked about a circular table,we were told that it was not available as it was reserved. We waited 1 1/2 hour to receive our food. I've been in Sparks for 4 years now and I'm sorry but the service sucks. The last 2 times I've been there. I sat at the bar and played the poker machines. It took 20 minutes to get a drink. I did order food when the bartender handed me my only drink. The food is good. I didn't get any utensils and used bar napkins until the bar back gave them to me. My family and l just moved to the Wingfield neighborhood and saw that there was a nearby restaurant called "David's Bar and Grill" and they exceeded our expectations! When my family and l walked into the restaurant, this lovely girl named "Kay" greeted us promptly with her smile. She brings a positive atmosphere into the restaurant that my family and l appreciated, being new. Moments later we were greeted by a server named "Katrina." She was able to describe her favorite menu items, which helped my family and I to decide on what to eat. I had a Baja Wrap and my husband got a smash burger. My two kids had chicken tenders and mac & cheese. Everything went well including the kids, free dessert. We also greatly appreciated our server telling us about the community. Can someone get the chef a meat thermometer? Even a burger can be rare one day, and well done the next. For $48 my Filet was cooked to the point of beef jerky. My baked potato was like a potato chip, and the vegetables were slimy and smelled odd. If you're going to charge $48 for a steak, it better be perfect. But a sizzler quality steak should come with a sizzler price. So I just learned again...David's is good for a cocktail and a salad. I dined with my hubby for brunch earlier this week! We were celebrating, cue the Jameson, and mimosas! We arrived right at the cusp of breakfast and lunch starting; so we ordered lunch! I ordered the French dip, and the hubby ordered the David's burger med. We ordered: lemon pepper wings, fries, and chicken tenders to take back home to our kiddos. Maria was our server, and she was very sweet. She took great care of us! We would love to come back and sit with her; next time, we'll order breakfast. I loved our view of the Red Hawk Golf course. I really like David's. Is the food the best in Reno? Nope. But they have live music many nights and the ambience is always great. Even on hot days there is a breeze on the patio. They also have an awesome berry mojito. I'm not a big drinker and this drink is fresh, not syrupy, and not super strong. read more

I had really high hopes for this restaurant but I was unfortunately disappointed. We came tonight for our anniversary dinner, we added that it was our anniversary to our reservation and when the waitress asked if we were celebrating anything we said it was our anniversary! She didn't bring us anything to celebrate which is ok not every restaurant does that but she didn't even offer us a dessert menu just brought the bill like it was time to leave. The entire experience felt super rushed, she asked us for drinks the moment we sat down before we could even pick up the menu and then came back 3 times within the first 10 minutes. When we ordered drinks she was like ok and for food and then seemed frustrated when we didn't know what we wanted yet. While we were eating she came to check on us probably 10-12 times. I do appreciate an attentive wait staff but this was excessive and honestly interrupted our dinner to where we didn't even enjoy it. We live just up the street so I wanted to love it but I don't think we'll be coming back!
