Maybe it was an off day for them? I called and placed a pick up order for one singular entree at 6:40 PM, the woman on the phone wasn't even sure if they served the entree from the menu I was trying to order but after figuring it out told me it would be no longer than 30 minutes which is standard for a pasta dish. I ran some errands and came back at 7:20 a full 40 minutes later and no sign of my food. Staff was rude and treated my presence like an inconvenience. Finally got my food at 7:50 and it was lukewarm. The eggplant rollatini I ordered was exciting since it's not a common dish in AZ but sadly the quality was just mid. Probably won't be back. read more

This might be my New favorite Italian spot. Everything was excellent from the appetizers to the pasta quality all the way to the pizza. That fig and prosciutto pizza was amazing. The eggplant Parmesan was perfect. The service was great and I love the casual atmosphere. read more

Food was so mediocre. And service was questionable. Constantly getting brought out the wrong plate and the waiter woukd say "are you sure" more than once like yes I'm sure I didn't order that. read more

Average Italian place. Got bruschetta appetizer and a Hugo spritz for happy hour for $20. Not worth coming back for. Food is very basic and doesn't have a ton of flavor. Service was lacking and the place is nice and clean but does not give off authentic Italian vibes. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. Best lobster rav ever! It was so delish! Husband got the pepperoni pizza and loved it. read more

Dropped in 12/15/25 to a great little Italian spot. Good food, excellent service from Jeniza and a nice vibe! Very clean too! My wife and I split the chicken Marsala, which we would order again, 2 house salads, and a caprese. The chicken was tender, moist, and perfectly cooked. The Marsala wine sauce was very flavorful. Blue cheese and Italian dressings were exceptional on very fresh salads. The Caprese was also very good with one additional ingredient, Kalamata olives, YUM! The lady next to us was having a supreme pizza. She said it was great and it looked like it was. We will try that next time we go. Give it a shot, we think you're going to like it. Happy Hour 2 to 5 with some food and drinks discounted. read more

How refreshing it was to go to Dave Italian Eatery today for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we entered, seated and our waitress was wonderful. Very attentive. So nice to get a dinner salad in a cold bowl and real salad greens. Bruchetta was very good. Both our dinners were delicious. We will definitely be back for dinner and bring friends with us. Just a wonderful place to eat. Great place to eat Italian food. read more

The best pizza and flavor I've ever had here in az! The drinks were great too. Most definitely will be back.

I'm hoping the feedback provided here is taken into consideration to improve service for this newer establishment. I've been here three times. Each time the service had gotten progressively worse. I must say the hostess and server were friendly but service goes beyond friendliness. We were asked what we wanted to drink at the very beginning. We placed our order and midway the server came over to apologize that the drinks weren't ready yet because the bar tender was busy with serving tables, as well. At that point we had to ask for water. This is what the server should have asked us. This is close to 30 minutes in. Then the buns that we received the first time, we had to ask for the 2nd time, and this third time we noticed it was given to some customers and we were ones that didn't receive it at all. Let's be consistent in our service so no one feels slighted. Our drink orders came out after our meals. So we had appetizers and our meal and then our drinks. Let the bar tender do what they are hired to do - make the drinks. Unfortunately, we'll have to find another Italian restaurant as the frustrations associated with this place isn't worth it. P.S. I don't know if this place wants to be considered a pizza joint or a fine establishment. If it's a pizza joint, keep the paper napkins. If not, let's level up to actual cloth napkins. Food was good. Can't complain about that at all! read more

Very good food. Definately will go back. So much better than chain restaurants highly recommend !

My kids and I stumbled in when we were out shopping in the plaza, and I am so glad we did. I am of Italian roots and love finding good AUTHENTIC Italian food. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked in!! The vibe was super comfortable and cozy. We all shared and ordered the -epic meatballs appetizer -Cheesy garlic bread -Minestrone soup -Spaghetti and meatballs and the -Alfredo pizza (which were ALL sooo gooooood, and flavorful. Everything came out hot and fresh!!! My kids and I loved all of it. I would definitely recommend trying!! And the prices were all very reasonable which was a bonus!! It is a beautiful restaurant to walk into. The service was great and they just opened. They brought us huge dinner rolls right away, yet they should have been warmed before serving. We had the cheese sticks, fried zucchini, Caesar salad, pizza with pepperoni and hot honey and the Fettuccine with chicken. The ratio of cheese to breading is off but the sweet marinara sauce was great. The zucchini was breaded well and had good flavor. The pizza got mixed reviews 1 loved it 2 we're it was ok. The Fettuccine only comes with chicken so when you order no chicken they still charge you the one with the chicken. This was over sauced with a very thick Alfredo sauce. Could not finish because how thick, and I never not eat my fettuccini. While it was good it wasn't great. I will give it another try in a little time. read more

Delicious food and excellent service! Cute restaurant with a relaxed vibe. We'll be back.

The food was pretty good. I'm just mad that they charged me $1.50 when I asked for extra sauce (see picture)-since I was taking home my pasta leftovers. I had veal Parmesan with a side of pasta, served with 2 enormous rolls, my friend had a spicy shrimp off the appetizer list read more

Was disappointed we had high hopes when we walked in. Sauce was bland and meatballs tasted store bought.

He came for happy hour and had the epic meatballs and bruschetta. The service was great. The food is delicious. I'll be back.

Great food and service. We will be back. The dessert was good as well. Attentive wait staff. One pizza would have been enough

Was in a hurry and they served up some lentil soup and a salad that reminded me of my late grandmother's cooking. So delicious, great service, and beautiful decor. Highly recommend! read more

Food Eggplant parmesan was okay the Penne was not it tasted bland and my $5 Cesar salad was just a bowl of lettuce and croutons with a side of dressing. The only thing going for the restaurant was the service and the atmosphere. Most likely won't be back. read more

Good food, friendly staff and great prices. Try the Shrimp Diablo. My only wish is for them to change the bread they bring to the table.

My family and I wanted to try this place tonight and was very disappointed. We got to our table and no one helped us at after that, we didnt even get asked if we wanted something to drink and there was barely any other customers. We waited for about 20 minutes and never got help from anyone, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. The service was very disappointing, we were really excited to try the food too. read more

Not sure if cutting corners or a bad night, but flavor and quality seriously lacking. I let waitress know it was not good, left phone number. Nothing. Probably should give 1 star, but hate to see a small business struggle. This was a waste of 80 + dollars. Objective should be to serve a product that makes a diner want to come back. Missed opportunity. read more

Horrible experience! Quiet weekday, with one server. Very slow service. Ordered the lunch pizza special and a ham sandwich lunch special. My husband ate his pizza ( and shared) because it took longer than 45 min for the sandwich. We had to leave. We asked for the sandwich to go.. it was a cold hard, dry hoagie roll ( which we ordered hot) and ham.. lettuce and tomatoes on the side ...for 45 min and a hard roll and ham $12.. we could have had an amazing sub from Jersey Mikes for less..with actual ingredients... we called to ask about our sandwich to go, the server hung up on us. We called back and it went to voicemail.. we will never go back read more

I had high hopes for this place, but not so much anymore.. when people are mentioning flavorless, they mean it! We ordered two pizzas and a salad. The pizzas should've been cooked longer., we asked for extra sauce ..we did not get any . The salad was OK, but they only gave us a little cup for the dressing Definitely miss the Mark here. I won't be going back. read more

Aww man... we really wanted to like this place, it's so close to our house, and we love supporting local/family owned restaurants. Unfortunately the quality is just not there. The space was nice with modern touches, a local themed mural, comfortable booths, etc. very clean. We started with the Crispy Chicken Wings $13 ($10 on HH), the Bolognese Arancini $12 ($10 on HH), and the Fried Calamari $14. Crispy Chicken Wings in buffalo sauce still had feathers attached, sticking out from the breading. (My husband is a chef so he pointed this out when I asked) Bolognese Arancini - the rice component of these was complete mush and had no discernible rice texture. The bolognese was runny and lacking flavor. Fried Calamari - for $14 the portion was smaller than other places but the breading and texture were good. The menu stated it would be served with marinara and aioli... the aioli was just ranch dressing. We compared it to the ranch served with wings and they were identical. Ranch is not good compliment to Calamari but marinara was good. Husband had the Scottsdale Blonde beer on HH for $5 and I chose the Hugo Spritz $9. On the menu the Spritz says it's served with lime but it came out with mint leaves and was overly sweet, I asked for lime and that helped balance it out a lot. Since we weren't impressed by any of the appetizers, we decided against an entree but are would have tried the Vodka sauce or Fig pizza. Our teenage son tried the Alfredo with chicken ($17), he's a huge fan of my homemade Alfredo and said this one wasn't nearly as good. He took maybe 4 bites and we asked for a box. When the bill came out, we had to ask twice for them to have it updated to reflect the prices on the happy hour items before it came out correctly. Value for portions wasn't terrible, we had 3 apps (two on HH), one pasta, 2 alcoholic drinks and a lemonade, paid $65 plus tax and tip. We will give it another try but first impression wasn't great. read more

Fun, easy atmosphere and great Italian food. Service was great too. Epic meatballs were epic and chicken Marsala was very tender and tasty. Add a nice cab wine and Peroni beer and it's a great night out. read more

We really wanted to support a new local business; although we don't usually go to Italian restaurants, because we are Italian. What a disappointment in so many ways. The chicken Florentine could not be served without the pasta. The chicken dishes are overdone pasta with bits of chicken mixed into the pasta and sauce. Done! That's it! The server was impatient. She was eager to leave instead of helping us with the menu choices. They left dirt dishes on the table next to us, then started to sweep the floor around our table as we were still eating. The owners are not Italian. The Mediterranean salad was very good. I'd stop there at their specialty. The Italian music was the best touch. read more

Amazing customer service! Pure water coming back to back on a hot day even with one server only available.

They've only been open for a few weeks and close by so I thought I'd give it a try. Very clean and new interior, excellent service and lasagna is a solid 7.5, large portions and will be taking some home. I will return to try a few more things on their menu and you won't be disappointed if you should decide to also try! read more

Penne and meat sauce was excellent. Carbonara texture was good but needs a little more smoky flavor for my wife's taste. Restaurant and especially bathrooms are spotless. read more
