I was pulling a stand alone hard drive that geek squad said would cost $500 to just diagnose to see if any data could be recovered. Dave analyzed the drive and told me if he could not recover anything he would not charge me. True to his word the drive was unrecoverable. As disappointed as I was to the loss of data (lots of pictures) Dave returned the drives, no charge. I will use him for any of my computer needs in the future. read more

We had a laptop that wouldn't charge. There was a pin broken off from the charger in the computer. Other places said they'd have to send it off someplace else or order parts. Thought my work computer was crashing. Contacted Dave after being referred to him by "Ask Erik", and Dave was able to start looking at my computer when I arrived at his shop a short time later. He was clear he may not be able to fix the issues the same day but would definitely do his best to get it back to me the next day. He gave me a choice of power supply models but i went with his recommendation which was the most affordable. His price for the power supply and labor was very reasonable. I had a great experience working with Dave. I had an old computer that was collecting dust in the garage for at least 6 years. I needed to retrieve old precious photos that I had no other digital copies of. He gave me a fair quote and I dropped off the computer. When I called back he said there were very few photos on the hard drive. So I dug through the garage only to find another computer that actually had the photos I was looking for! We took my son's gaming computer in today--it was overloaded and completely frozen. We explained to Dave what the reoccurring issue was and he said that he would look into it immediately. Approximately 5 hours later the computer was fixed and working perfectly. Dave explained to me what the strengths and weaknesses of the computer are and what to do to avoid the same issue occurring in the future. I was amazed at how quick the turn-around was. Secondly, the price was extremely reasonable. He treated myself and my son with complete respect and explained the issues to me in a way that I could understand. Lastly, he never attempted to sell us any software or hardware (something that you rarely see today when you take a computer in for servicing). This was our second time using Dave's Computers and I will be going back there in the future when we have any future issues regarding computers, iPads, or phones. I took my iMac desktop computer to Dave's Computer and was promptly greeted by Nicole. I shared with her my problem, hyper-slow operation speed for anything done and she quickly diagnosed the problem as being an old hard drive that likely needed to be upgraded. Additionally she thought adding some RAM would also be helpful. So after performing a complete data back-up to my external hard drive I took the computer back to Nicole and she got to work. Long story short, Nicole was awesome, problem fixed in one day, computer is operating like it was brand new. For me one of the qualities I greatly admire in a person/company I contract with to service anything personal or professional is honesty and communication. I will tell you that Nicole actively communicated with me via text to let me know how the fix was progressing and to let me know when the device was ready for pick-up. I also admired her for her non-techie communication with me as I'm not one that is particularly knowledgeable about such things. Dave transferred my data and programs to my new computer with better virus protection than I had on my old computer. Unfortunately, problems persisted and I exchanged the computer. I had an ongoing issue with my computer that I'd taken to a local place. They were helpful but two years later I still had ongoing issues that were eventually going to lead to me blowing up my PC. I called Dave and brought my computer in that day. 24 hours later I got it back and it worked great...for a minute. I kept it for the weekend and it still had issues so I called Dave and he had me bring it back. When I brought it back and he turned it on it messed up in front of him which strangely made me feel better. Anyway, I got it back the next day and it's been perfect ever since.
