    Schnitzel, warm potato salad, lingonberries.

What a fantastic place! The food was outstanding! Delicious homemade spaetzle, crisp flavorful schnitzel, fall-off-the-bone pork shank, sweet red cabbage, fresh cucumber salad, mouthwatering warm potato salad, everything was amazing, including the staff! Thank you Melissa for a wonderful meal and exemplary service! The house beer was quite good too! Can't wait to go back to this unpretentious and super authentic German Biergarten!

Home of das boot! I didn't actually get it but wished someone did. Loved the energy of the staff and all the decor. Seating inside and outside. This place is great for families or just a night out with friends. The customers at the bar were having a great time with the jukebox. Don't know if it's actually called that anymore. Machine that plays music is best way to describe it. The food was amazing. This was only my second time at a German restaurant. First time I made the mistake of getting a giant array of sausage. I was smart enough this time to not eat too heavy. I went with das schnitzel sandwich. I was recently introduced to fried pork cutlets. On a pretzel bread seems like a no-brainer. I turned out to be right. Fried perfectly, tons of flavor. Their french fries for a nice bonus. Very crispy and delicious. I was also able to sample some of my wife's plate of jagerschnitzel. It was basically what I got, but with a delicious mushroom gravy sauce. It also came with a side of spatzle. Great experience. Can't wait to go visit the in-laws and come back here. Five stars!

Great place and comfortable atmosphere. Nice daytime bartender as we were just passing through. Had 2 paulerner dunkel and a Pretzel.

If you aren't eating at Das Biergarten, you are truly doing yourself a disservice. Besides the amazing, personable staff, everything on the menu is 10/10. But the lobster roll in the summer is the STAR of the show. You wouldn't think of a German restaurant to have a lobster roll like this but DAMN, they sure do. The owner, Drew, is a true king and makes the meanest lobster salad in LB. Not full of mayo, nice BIG chunks of lobster. Oh, and do NOT sleep on his grilled cheese.

What a great time!!!!! Came last night with a large party and had a great experience! The bartender, waitress, food - 5 stars!!!! The burger I had, probably one of the best burgers I've ever had!!!! I woke up dreaming of it this morning, seriously! What a friendly staff and top notch service! I started off with potato pancakes which were delicious! Das burger? Like I said earlier, still dreaming of it!!! They have a private parking lot which is fantastic for the area since many places don't have one. Definitely Check this place out!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!

Fantastic find close to my parents in Atlantic Beach. Das Biergarten has a fun, laid back atmosphere with impressive beer/cocktail and food menus. I ordered the Jägerschnitzel: giant pork cutlet fried to perfection, topped with a rich bacon mushroom gravy. It was accompanied by sides of spätzle and apple red cabbage. Every bite was delicious! Highly recommend. If you are a fan of classic German food and drinks, you must go to Das Biergarten!

Fantastic afternoon at Das Biergarten today. Since Lots of Octoberfest celebrations are cancelled this year we took the chance to meet up with some friend for some pre Octoberfest celebration at Long Beach. Table where spaced well apart, server had mask all the times. Menu where laminated. Food and Beer where great and is certainly worth a trip to Long Beach if you look for some good Beer, Food and "Gemütlichkeit"... highly recommend to everyone who like Germany Cuisine in a safe environment...

Great german food with pretty good prices. If you like MEAT, get the Pigs knuckle. Its a huge bone of pork with fall of the bone tender meat. Service can be slow for food but the bar service is great and they are happy to let you try any of the beers before you buy

I had a group dinner here for my parents and my boyfriend's mother to meet for the first time. This is perhaps not the perfect location for this type of thing, as it was extremely loud in the restaurant. Despite being very busy, the hostess made sure we had a comfortable table to sit at and were not too cramped. As expected, the beer selection is great and I enjoyed my Berliner Weisse very much. I ordered the goulash and kasespaetzle. The goulash was rich, well seasoned and filling. The spaetzle was soft and creamy, covered in lots of flavorful aged cheese with salty bacon bits and sweet onion. A very rich dish. Although I didn't technically order an entree, I still found myself pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The rest of my dining companions ordered either the schnitzel or the wurstplatte. All seemed very pleased with their food, and some even had leftovers to bring home due to large portions. This restaurant is certainly a fun spot to come, reservations recommended. There's a reason they've been open for so long.

Food and service did not disappoint and the restaurant was well-decorated for Christmas too :) Yes, meals are a bit on the pricier side but portions are generous and (as someone who LOVES German food), I have to say the jagerschnitzel and sauerbraten were spot on! We started off with the obligatory Bavarian pretzel, which is cooked to order and easy to share around for a family of four. We also ordered a bowl of their onion soup which had a surprisingly flavorful broth and was delicious down to the very last scoop. It was a nice departure from some variants where once you pierce through the top cheese layer, you're eating boring beef broth. I wish the family well (believe they're retiring and trying to sell the business) and maybe keep my fingers crossed new owners will keep up the German cuisine!

The people in the group are cool about me drinking coffee, OJ & Seltzer and N/A beers and I'm cool with the fact that they drink, overall they're a pretty good group of people. Last night Tom Perrone a member of 8OCS hosted his first ever vinyl night in Nassau County at Prost. Usually he hosts Vinyl nights in Patchogue at TwoMorrow's Pub. Sometimes he'll host other vinyl nights or afternoons at different locations. So my boyfriend and I were able to go. One of the good things I appreciate about Prost is that it's a bar/restaurant. So if there's something going on and I need to bring my son I'm safely able to do so. I wouldn't bring my 9 year old to just a bar but if it's a bar/restaurant there's nothing wrong with bringing him if I had to. We didn't get a chance to have any food, maybe one day on one of our future visits we will. I had an OJ & Seltzer and a Clausthaler N/A beer. My go to N/A beer for drinking at home has been Athletic Brewery N/A beer but I had a Clausthaler once before at the American Hotel Bar in Sayville and Clausthaler is a good flavorful N/A beer. My boyfriend chose to have a liter of Miller Lite I think. Hanging at Prost was a good time, one of the bars in Garden City that I would suggest checking out!

This was a place that we walked past about 875,000 times. And said "we should check it out…read moresometime." Sometime became today! And boy, were we in for a pleasant surprise, as we truly enjoyed ourselves. No one does beer hall like a German place. This is just facts. We had the Berliner Weisse, which comes in a .5L or 1L boot (does German beer count if it's not in a boot?). This was a delicious raspberry syrupy undertone wheat beer, and definitely a must have for next time. Though there were like a dozen other beers I need to have. They also have a pretty extensive wine selection, if that's your thing. We were there for a brunch. When we arrived, before 1pm, it wasn't busy at all. By the time we left, it was pretty full. The bar had seats though. Anyhoo, I tried their "energizer" which were eggs any style (poached for me), creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Never had a breakfast like this one! It was almost like a deconstructed eggs Florentine. YUM. My husband had the Heidelberger which was a German style hamburger with frizzled onions and mashed potatoes. He let me try some, it was pretty fantastic so I may need to try it sometime myself. Also do not miss their ginormous Bavarian pretzel. It was quite possibly the best I've had (and I've had many!). The service was outstanding, and the vibe was ... I dunno a step above what you saw in Fast Times where they go to the German restaurant. My only regret is that I didn't get the apfelstrudel. Next time! Washrooms are single occupancy.

The duck made my wife throw up two hours after ingesting it. My (albeit) medium-well schnitzel ordered came extra well-done, crispy both on the inside and out. The restaurant was dark and freezing. Workmen were bringing in wood materials from the back and the door was left open for the duration of the meal to accommodate the establishment and its workmen over the dining comfort of its patrons. We asked about the unendurable arctic environment and the genial young man seating us, serving us and also tripling as barman, returned to say there was nothing he could do. We started off with appetizers- which are really great for sharing- perogies for the Hubby and I had the liver dumpling soup- both were fantastic. Hubby had the German mixed salad with his meal, the special was sausage with both chicken and pork Schnitzel and potatoes, I had the sauerbraten with potatoes and we both had a side of the sauerkraut. We took a To-Go of the stuffed chicken breast with mozzarella and spinach and soup, with broccoli and an order of perogies. 2 Root beers, and he had the apple strudel and I ordered the Bienenstich. Our server was Karen- I want to give a huge thank you to her, she was an absolute delight, sweet, friendly and made sure our dinner was perfect, she is wonderful and next time we come for dinner, we hope she is our waitress. Food was incredible, I have not had "family" style German food in probably 13 years if not longer- I used to eat all the time at Alpine Village in Torrance Ca and at Phoenix Club in Brea Ca- both I was a long time foodie at, and never had a bad meal! It is so great to know that Sebastian's is our new place for delicious German food. Dinner for the 3 was roughly $180.00, but before you say "that's a lot", the food is delicious, the wait staff is amazing and both my husband and I gladly pay good money for fantastic food, like what we had here at Sebastian's.

CASH ONLY CASH ONLY…read moreCASH ONLY CASH ONLY Did I mention CASH ONLY So we are thinking about getting Christmas Eve dinner catered from here, so we tried it out yesterday. There was a decent amount of confusion and dialect disconnect, but I believe they have most of their regular menu available. We also ordered a bunch of different items to taste test and we were extremely happy! Let me get into my issue... At no point until I walked into the restaurant, did they mention cash only, oh and check! They take checks! But they never list if on ther website, or any social media sites. They do not mention it over the phone either... so I walk in expecting to pay with card and wham. CASH ONLY... They do have an ATM on site, but to use it, you need an ATM card or a pin on your CC, which I did not have. My FiL had to meet me half way back with cash so I could pay. I really wish they post it online or somewhere people can see before walking in.... I had half a mind to cancel lol! Well that's my gripe! Ordering food, there was a slight language barrier as well. But all in all, it went OK. The lot needs better lighting and or a sign that points to the main entrance. We walked the wrong way and ended up at tables and chairs in storage.... It is very very very homey inside. Very homey. It feels like Oma's living room. With Hummel and biersteins everywhere, and it mean everywhere! Do not bring young kids here lol! It does look nice though! Must but nightmare to dust... Service is unique, the owner was trying to make small talk, and this is after my cash issue, I was kind of zoned out... also had 2 kids that were surprisingly behaving! I got super lucky with that lol! I was able to pay cash and he threw in a few items for free, he gave me a potato soup and a Rahm sauce. Brought the food home and feasted! I got the triple schnitzel combo with Veal, pork, chicken. All were delicious, I like the brown gravy (which had a nice tang) as well as the Rahm sauce with it. By itself it was good, I think they do it more Italian style with only breadcrumbs and no flour, but it was still good. The Veal was the best, but small! The other 2 were very good! I subbed mash for home fries which had sautéed onions and were a great touch, but it needed salt. The sauce helped! I also got a side or spaetzle, which were good but needed sauce and or salt, and did not have much seasoning. But that is German food... I'm not saying its bland, but its sauce heavy! Perogies were absolutely killer! I want a tray lol! Great filling, super soft, great taste! Wife and FiL had the chicken cordon blue, and they were huge!!! They were delicious, but even better with the Rahm sauce. I need a gallon of it lol! Wife liked the Red cabbage, I enjoyed it as well, great flavor. I personally like it sweeter. FiL had the mash and like it. I also got Linzer Tarts which disappeared very quickly lol! Everyone enjoyed them! All in all a great meal, I wish they'd let you know cash only... we look forward to getting catering on Christmas Eve!
