Such a great find in Lisbon, one of our fave dinners in the city. Food was amazing, service was fun (shoutout to Hugo and gents), and the space was cozy and intimate. Highly recommend: - steak daprata- rare steak and a cured egg yolk was delicious - chorizo with orange marmalade, grilled almost table side - ceviche - nice and fresh - grilled shrimp was nice and garlicky - salted codfish croquettes - pumpkin tart dessert Hugo gave a great reco for a dry white wine. Vibes were great!

DaPrata52 has a super cute vibe with an interesting interior design, but that's about where the positives end. On the day we visited, the restaurant was not very busy, yet the wait for the food was slow. Adding to the frustration, you have to pay for water, and they don't even offer tap water for free. A major point to note is that they expect you to order at least two dishes per person, which was a bit surprising. We took the waiter's suggestion and ordered the Goat Meat Croquettes with Sweet Chili Sauce (his personal favorite), along with Sirloin Steak and Sauteed Vegetables. The Goat Meat Croquettes were a letdown. Despite the intriguing name, they were just fried shredded goat meat with a bland chili sauce. They were edible, but definitely not worth the hype or the price. The Sirloin Steak, however, was a pleasant surprise--it was cooked perfectly and came with a nice egg yolk on top, along with thinly sliced potatoes. The steak itself was delicious, but the potatoes were overly salty and made it hard to enjoy the final bites. The Sauteed Vegetables were pretty mediocre. The presentation was nice with thinly sliced veggies arranged neatly, but the taste was underwhelming and did not stand out in any way. Overall, the meal was expensive and did not live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend daPrata52 based on this experience and wouldn't return.

It's our 3rd night in Lisbon and been trying highly recommended places but definitely found a needle in a haystack...by far, the food and service here were truly impeccable.... delicious, savory, and flavorful. The ambibiance is rustic but appealing with a homey vibe Kudos gentlemen, thank you for an amazing experience!

Food: Loved all the tapas my friend and I ordered! They also seem to have specials and desserts that are not written in the menu anywhere so make sure to ask the server! Cost: All the dishes were reasonably priced! Great way to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank! Its even better if you can find a +1 so you can order double the amount to try even more at once! Environment: Lots of seating available, a little dark in regards to lighting but the food tastes great! Service: Things were brought out as they were ready. Found the service fairly quick and well paced. Did not feel like I was waiting forever to get our dishes to be served. Uniqueness: A fantastic tapas restaruant that my friend was excited to bring me to since she visited last time and had such a great experience and I was not disappointed!

    All four of our dishes!

We are just leaving the restaurant right now. We're making reservations to come back tomorrow.! Yes it's that good! I never do this, but the temporary green beans and mushrooms on mashed potatoes or recommended by the waiter and to die for. My husband who doesn't care for vegetables, said the temporary green beans were one of the best dishes he's ever tasted in his life! We also had the sea dahi in an incredible sauce, which he loved as well in the shrimp with heads on in a delectable sauce! To note, each person needs to order two appetizers, which are fairly small . It's perfect in my opinion, but we are fairly light eaters. Someone who eats more may want to order two more than two appetizers per person. Service was excellent and the house light line was incredible! I don't drink wine in the United States, but this wine does not give me a headache .

4.6 on yelp, 4.7 on google and tripadvisor with thousands of reviews. never have i been catfished so hard by a restaurant. Based on the reviews we were expecting something phenomenal and got something incredibly sub mediocre. This is the first time i've ate out and not finished my food in probably 5 years. Service was great though and our servers were very tentative. We ordered the ... tomatoes and cheese 7/10-- probably one of best dishes we had overall but still not stand out. sides of tomatoes were under salted and lacked flavor. flavor was only in the very middle of the dish for some reason mushrooms 3/10-- underwhelming. i don't even know what to say about it. mushrooms should have a very easy umami that comes out if you cook it right and it was not there. mushy sauce and mushy mushrooms goat meat croquettes 5/10-- just a crunchy goat meat ball that was and well cooked. the relish or stuff it came with was good but the flavors just didn't mesh well together and nothing stood out about it pica pau 7/10 -- most flavorful and, best tasting thing but unfortunately was heavily over salted. also needed some kind of carb to carry the sauce -- side of rice or something codfish cake 3/10 -- super spongey greasy and not crunchy, the sauce was good but it was so bland-- 75% starch and can barely taste the fish. Had some at another place and these taste like a westerner tried to make this without knowing what they're making. scallops 6/10 -- cooked and salted very well. the other stuff it came with just didn't synthesize well with the dish the peas felt out of place and just bland mush to eat with it.

Absolutely fantastic! Our favorite restaurant while visiting for a month in Lisboa. Open for both lunch and dinner. Fantastic wine selection. THE best cod fish cakes! Great texture. Nothing like the touristy ones around town, thankfully. Tapas style so try everything. Our favorites were the amazing ceviche, seared octopus, steak skewers, purple bread with delicious olive oil, an amuse bouche of a curried vegetable fritter, and a variety of croquettes. In a very busy area surrounded by overpriced touristy restaurants . Do yourself a favor and skip those for this affordable gem. Worth the wait if there is a line. Service was quick and super friendly and it was nice that they remembered us and warmly greeted us on our return visits. Our bottle of wine, 5 tapas plus bread less that 55€.

Simply put - amazing. Go here. All of the reviews for this place are spot on - some of the most incredible seafood dishes I've had, and a low key, unpretentious atmosphere. All of the pulpo dishes in particular were phenomenal, but everything on the menu truly was delicious. This is Michelin-quality food, but without the price tag. It's a smaller restaurant, so I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation, or be prepared to wait a bit for seating.

I can't say enough about this place! We showed up around 5:30/6 and it was still quiet. They explain the service before you enter. You have to order a minimum of two dishes per person. So the 4 of us got 8 different dishes to try and it was a combo of the vegetarian, fish and meat. The service was amazing and my family and I had so much fun and absolutely loved every dish we got! Definitely give this place a try!

Last week while vacationing in Lisbon my brother suggested we try this tapas restaurant and it did not disappoint. The host explained each dish in detail...down to the spices, which I greatly appreciated. Before I get into the food I think it's important to note that everyone we interacted with had such a great personality. The customer service was phenomenal. Now the food, everything we tried was delicious, the rabbit samosas, the sausage with orange sauce, the fried chicken, the risotto, and the star of the show the beef tips/ bites...don't recall the exact name but it was in a garlic and herb sauce that knocked it out the park. It was truly a delightful experience.

My wife found this place as we are staying near by. What a gem! Outstanding service, fresh food, no wait. Excellent. The only 'complaint': if you see an American credit card, please don't ask for a tip. Just saying

We found this place from another review and I am SO glad we came. They have a 2 tapas per person minimum so my friend and I got 4 between us and it was the perfect amount of food. The spicy lentil balls were incredible, our waiter recommended them to us and they did not disappoint. The octopus risotto was also a MUST TRY!

It's rotisserie chicken doused with a spicy hot sauce so what's not to like? I knew it was a Portuguese-originated dish, so I looked for a place famous for it. Here on a Sunday evening, there was quite a queue extending up the cobblestone alley, so I realized this must be the place. Although it was at least thirty people deep, it didn't take more than twenty minutes for Jamie W and me to secure a table upstairs. It was a homestyle dining room set-up that hovered between cozy and crowded depending on the fluctuating volume level. Interestingly all the servers were male, and while ours was the most junior, he consciously followed the behavior of his veteran brethren. There was no question about our main course, the 13,5€ Frango Assado No Espeto (Roast Chicken on the Spit) (Photo 7). It was tender and succulent enough albeit a bit under seasoned, all the more reason to pour a liberal dose of the piri piri sauce (Photo 8). Our sides were simple but shareable, the 3,2€ Batata Fritta (French Fries) (Photo 9) and the 4,3€ Salada Mista (Mixed Salad) (Photo 10). Both were fine, though we really wanted to try their Cream Spinach. They were already out of it in the kitchen. We were quite satisfied nonetheless, and their service pretty much worked like clockwork. Jamie and I agreed we'd definitely come back if the passion for poultry strikes us on a return trip to Lisbon. In the meanwhile, I'll just do a run to Costco, buy a rotisserie chicken, and dream of Portugal. A small line of one or two groups at a time formed throughout the night. We were seated outside and there was a street performer with an acoustic guitar - def added some great vibes to the night. It was a chilly December night but the heater provided *just enough* warmth. We ordered the codfish cakes which were alright - nothing too special. Since it was a little cold out, I also ordered the chicken broth. It was bland, but good in its own way. There was some rice and chicken bits in it that tasted really good. The rotisserie chicken that they are known for was EXTREMELY salty. We were a group of 6 and ordered 2.5 rotisserie chicken (so 5 pieces) but this was actually way too much. It's a little better (but still salty) if you don't eat the skin, but that's the best part given how crispy it was! I tried to drown out the saltiness by using the piri piri sauce and it helped a little bit... but biting into the chicken meant biting into the undissolved salt bits. Given how salty it was, we could not finish it at all and left behind 3 pieces. Service itself was meh. They made sure to inform us that the tip was not included in the bill.
