Dapper was the perfect location for our celebration this year. Ryan was the most attentive and helpful waiter I've ever had. You do not see them pictured because they were delicious and gone quick! They were HUGE. We had the Thai chili sauce and the bbq sauce after Ryan suggested that we could split the sauces. I had a side salad with blue cheese dressing that had to have been made in house because it was so fresh and delicious. We had salmon, filet, and rib eye as our entrees and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The purple mashed potatoes were a Star! Heard about this place on TikTok and figured I'd check it out. I didn't have a reservation and although the place was not even a half capacity they could not even place our name on a list. The bar was first come first serve so we sat at the bar and ordered from there. The bar tenders were great and answered all questions regarding the drinks. The bar appeared to be well stocked. As for the food, "WOW". I had the wild mushroom steak and it was delicious. The sauce is extraordinary tasty and the entire dish was well seasoned. The wedge salad was one of the better ones I've had. They gave us a complimentary butter cake because of the birthday we were celebrating. The place is very nice, both inside and outside. We also wanted to try their poblano soup, so we ordered a bowl. Everything was full of flour and served piping hot. The crabcakes came with a jalapeño aïoli which complimented them very well and was not overly spicy. My wife's piccata was the best we have ever had--light and bursting with flavor. The poblano soup (which we each only sampled--we took the rest home!) was thick hearty and delicious, with just the right amount of heat and smokiness from the poblano. When we arrived with half our party of 4, the hostess and a server were having an argument about some sort of table issue. When another employee arrived he listened for a short time then we were acknowledged and he stated that the ladies would seat us. They continued to discuss after he left and then the hostess, who did not greet or welcome us, took us to the glass enclosed room at the front of the restaurant. The server came after our party was seated and asked if we would like anything to drink. Most of us asked for water and she asked if she could bring some bottles for the table. We didn't think anything about it since we didn't order Italian Spring water that turned out to be $11 per bottle. The food was very good however I asked for no chives and we also asked for another bleu cheese dressing. Neither of which happened. The noise in this room was so loud I couldn't understand what our server or my party at the table was saying half the time. The hostess did switch out a chair at our request and I was given steak on the side as requested. The server did check on our table several times but it was such a chore to try and talk we just didn't feel like yelling our distain in the restaurant and ruining others lunches. As we left, our server Bernice was on her phone on the couch by the exit and looked up to thank us while still sitting and immediately went back to her phone. I must say the ambiance was lovely and the food was excellent however, the service did not meet the expectation as promised. Mike our server basically ignored us the entire time only giving his attention to larger parties. During our meal he never came back to offer more water or ask how we enjoyed the meal. In fact he came back at the end to ask which was quite disappointing. It made my party and I feel as if we were not important. Despite this failure to acknowledge us, there were other staff that were kind and helpful despite not being assigned to our table. While I know weekends can be busy, other servers were going out of their way to provide excellent customer experience regardless of party size. The restaurant was very lively around 8pm and we did have to wait 10 minutes even with a reservation but didn't mind. The portions were a lot bigger than I thought, which was much appreciated considering the prices. I got the shrimp cocktail, Chilean seabass and my friend got the filet mignon, and shared the butter cake. I can say the seabass was very savory and rich, the shrimp cocktails were sweet and refreshing with a tinge of spice, and the butter cake was smoothly sweet, and was deliciously paired with vanilla icecream.
