Love the food here! Fresh crisp green salad, soft pita bread, flavorful gyros meat and delicious tzatziki sauce. Everything was presented well and the servers are extremely friendly and helpful. Not expensive for counter service. Good kids menu. Outdoor seating as well. read more

Daphne's - Specials. - Greek Near Me - Roseville, California

Really good food. Customer service was lacking. The gentleman could tell I was new to the store but didn't help with the menu. Order was spot on though and was very tasty read more

The food is completely average. I ordered what I thought was supposed to be a chicken gyro but got the lamb/beef. Whatever, still looked delicious so I didn't complain. My side salad was soggy and tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. It was so vinegar-y. Still, I ate. Honestly I love Mediterranean food so I ate it like a champ but it was not the best. It was disappointing read more

I love the new cashier Jake! Very helpful and provides amazing customer service! Will recommend this restaurant to my friends!

Just got the street pita duo!!! Very delicious sooo good I had to order a gyro to go. Will be coming back real soon!! And I believe the name of the gentleman that took my order was jake really nice guy!! Thanks dude and the desert was tasty! read more

I used to love Daphne's but they recently changed their menu so my favorite 'mix and match' is now gone. They switched the rice and now it's more dry and not as flavorful. They added roasted vegetables to the plate but it's a combination of soggy carrots, soggy red peppers and green beans...no thanks. Instead of getting two choices of protein you only get one. I wanted a second protein, requested a side of hand carved gyro (an extra $4), got home, and they forgot it. Really disappointed with the changes and won't be going back. read more

Our experience yesterday in ordering pick-up from Daphne's brings to mind a caveat that is worth remembering any time restaurant food is ordered for either pick-up or delivery. ALWAYS check to make sure the restaurant has included everything you asked for. Check carefully against the itemized receipt. Restaurants frequently omit an ordered beverage or sauce or entire entree. So it turned out with Daphne's. Beverage was not included by the restaurant in our pick-up order; dessert items were fewer in number than what we requested. Eat24 made good on the deficiency -- but we would have appreciated a bit more attention to detail by the restaurant staff. read more

I love their grilled salmon served with rice and grilled vegetables. Highly recommend it. I try to get it (take out) every Friday. I have also tried their shrimp and tri tip kebobs and enjoy that very much too. The help has always been very helpful and friendly. Service is fast, especially if I call in my order before coming to pick it up. I expect to be a long time customer at Daphne's. read more

This place was a five star joint up until a week or two ago. Sadly we don't live near here so we made the 30 minute drive out here to find out that they have changed the menu. They removed our favorite items and while they clearly still have the ingredients to make them, they won't. The woman working at the register was rude and acted like she was inconvenienced that the had to explain the menu had changed, like we should have known it changed last Tuesday. I guess we will be saving time and gas money because we won't be coming back. read more

We have been coming to Daphnes for years and still a family favorite. Healthy choices at good prices.

Food is DELICIOUS. I absolutely love Greek food and they master it well! However, the reason for my 2 star review... staff is a little rude. And the food takes forever to get to you. Let's just say, if you have time to waist, come here for a meal. But if you're in a hurry to get to work or class, pick another place. read more

Great food at a reasonable price. Looking for a place I can eat with my wife since I'm vegan and she is not. Good fast choice and we are both leaving satisfied. read more

I would give better ratings if they wouldn't skimp the chicken on a 10$ salad. I had to pay 3$ for extra chicken....Need to find a new place...sucks because I really love the food just wish they wouldnt be so greedy with the chicken! read more

I'm so sad Daphne's can't seem to get it together. I just waited 45 minutes for my street pitas that finally came out in a to-go package when I wanted to dine in. I have been hoping they'd figure this out but it's been two years and nothing ever changes. They are understaffed, slow, and constantly putting out fires. I want to take a picture but don't want to embarrass anyone...out of the 12 available tables inside this restaurant, all twelve are covered in food and dishes. No one is bussing anything. It's truly awful. I wish someone would take over and get this place into shape. read more

The woman didn't even know what orzo was! My gyro meat was tasteless And it had Italian dressing on it. The tzatziki was not as tasteful either. There was only one person preparing food And it was too slow. Never going back. read more

I had the sundried tomato wrap and really enjoyed it! The service was great as well. The gentleman at the counter helped me sign up for their rewards program and had some good suggestions from their menu. read more

This Daphnes's used to be MUCH better. However, since there has been a change in management the service has declined DRAMATICALLY! We used to go about once a week and the 2 managers, always greeted us and awknowledged our return. Jacob, Paul and the burgers were why we went. The Pita Burger which is our favortie menu item has declined. If we wanted a burger we would go there and told everyone we talked to they should try Daphnes burgers. Not anymore. The decline in customer service and change of burger is enough to never go back. The gentleman with glasses never speaks to us and supposedly he is running the show. The very very, curly haired girl is friendly and we like her a lot. They have added some other menu items but the burger is why we went. Since new management has come in the burger is so obvisouly not the same and customer service is poor at best. Too bad because it used to be really great. You will notice any previous good comments are dated before the new management came in. read more

Menu has changed - has more food options. However it took forever to get 2 gyro sandwiches w/ 2 sides. Gyro meat was not hot. There was one lone woman making all the food while several people milling about. Was not busy but tables were not cleaned - plates picked up but tables were dirty. Food was ok, am not impressed. read more

We've been loyal Daphne's fans since they opened on Sierra College Blvd. Unfortunately the company has chosen to relieve their two best assets from their duties (Jacob and now Paul). We have noticed the food quality has been deteriorating with the last few menu updates, but it was still a pleasure to go there because of Jacob and Paul. Now the place has poor food and NO customer service. Too bad because Jacob and Paul really knew how to take care of their customers! I hear the Fairway store still has good customer service (hopefully they won't mess with their managers). read more

Today, my dad and I decided on Daphne's for a quick, easy lunch. Because we both only have an hour long lunch, this was convenient for us. We arrived at 11:30 and upon walking in, there was one other customer inside. I ordered a Cali pita and baklava, while my dad ordered the Cali-greek bowl. We waited 28 minutes to get our food! Keep in mind, there was ONE single order before us. In addition, the food sat on the counter waiting to be delivered to us for roughly ten minutes. By the time we began eating, the food was cold and poorly prepared- and we only had 15 minutes to eat and rush back to work. They also forgot to include the baklava and when I confronted her about it with my receipt, she seemed bothered that I had asked. Two employees at lunch time seems an absurd for a restaurant such as this. Around 12, the lunch crowd began flowing in and there is STILL only one cook. Meanwhile, the cashier has been assisting one customer with multiple orders and doesn't say anything to those who had been waiting about 15 minutes at this point. The cleanliness of this place was very also very poor. I think it is safe to say i will not be back any time soon! read more

Just stopped in for take out. They talked my husband into upgrading his order. When we got home they had given him 8 french fries (soggy) and totally left mine out. The Gyro was blah! We won't be back!! read more

The food is oily and the fries are awful, they looked like yesterday's left over fries! It's the second time I am returning the fire feta fries! Never coming here again! read more

My husband and I tried the BFG Pita with Gyro meat and it was delicious. A must try! They also have my favorite baklava.

do not have lunch here. i have an hour lunch and been waiting for my food for 40 minutes. i will have to go back to work without eating!!!! they are not even busy. read more

For a quick-lunch set-up (order at the counter), the meal took a long time to arrive: about a half hour. They didn't check on us to explain; we had to ask. The nice woman manager explained that the charbroiled chicken takes a long time to cook. They should tell customers that in the beginning, or have it already prepared in the kitchen. The tzatziki sauce was forgotten from our order; we had to ask for it. The restaurant inside was very noisy, with lots of clashing pots and pans. We had to move outdoors. read more

I usually don't write reviews on chain stores but I've been here a few times the last couple years and want to give my two cents. I always order the Gyro Plate with salad and rice. It feeds a couple of people and you can't go wrong if your in the mood for the greasy, salty Gyro meat. I like mine with extra Tzatziki sauce. It's only bad if they give you the little scraps instead of the long strips of meat. The salad is fresh and the rice has always been a nice pilaf texture. I've ordered the family meal before with the fire roasted vegetables and I wouldn't recommend them. I Love my veggies but these taste like frozen ones that have been charred; soft and mushy and not good. The french fries are almost always soggy by the time you get them home and they're not any better than the frozen ones from the grocery store so stick with the salad and rice; always a safe bet. The only reason I'm writing this is because they got my order wrong today. Not that they gave me something other than I ordered but that it differed from what the menu described it. I expect a chain restaurant to hold one of its signature items to a standard. I've never ordered one of their "original pita sandwiches" and thought I'd give them a try today because I like red onions. On the menu it's described as gyro meat in a pita with onion, lettuce, and tomato. What I got was a bunch of gyro meat in a hard, yet still soggy, pita with lettuce and a little of their tomato/cucumber salad. Luckily, I had ordered extra tzatziki with one of the meals because there was no sauce that came with it. We also tried the crispy shrimp that tasted overly fishy. Overall we paid almost $40 to feed 4 people and 2 left hungry. Not a good experience for a takeout. They also forgot to include napkins and plasticware in our order. On the bright side, the girl who took my order was friendly. read more

I don't go out of my way usually to write a negative review but when you've had more than one negative experience I feel that it's needed. It's unfortunate because Greek food is my favorite type of food. On a recent occasion I did a to go order and it took them an hour to make my food. I just ordered a falafel. They didn't have anybody before me and didn't put my order in until I said something. Today I decided to give them one last try.. my falafel was mush, they must have prepped the falafel with meat (I'm a vegetarian, falafel is their vegetarian option) because I got a horrible stomach ache and to top it off they didn't give me any taziki when I had specifically asked for it. The customer experience is part of running an establishment and my experience has not been satisfactory. read more

This place was excellent 6 months ago. Since the total staff change happened and maybe management change also this place has gone way down hill. The food even tastes different and smaller portions. Twice in 2 weeks the California salad came without avocado. Had to remind the cook who apologized and brought it later. Then saw him spraying non stick aerosol cooking spray directly on the pita bread before he grilled it instead of on the grill! Been here at least 40 times. No more. 2 starts just because it used to be so good and the servers are nice. read more

Outstanding food. Very fresh. Really good and enthusiastic manager. Makes you feel welcome.

Terrible service and small portions. The floor had food all over it and the tables were all dirty. It has not been like this in the past. Had to stop and eat on the way home at another establishment. Wednesday July 12 was not a good night to go. read more

I love this place the food is unique and very good always fresh and the staff is very friendly no complaints here.

My recent past experience at Daphne's have been pretty good but last night the game was changed. I was greeted and helped by a young lady behind the counter by the name of Taylor. She gave me the run down and helped give me suggestions on what I would be interested in ordering. She really made my experience at Daphne's Great! read more

This cafe's food - awesome. Ordering online.... the most dysfunctional system I've ever used. If you're eating in, go for it. But the order by group function is terrible. read more

Gf and I would regularly go here on a weekly basis back in 2009 - 2010, the manager and a couple of the servers were great. Price/food were both reasonable, decent portions, etc. That was back when it was "Daphne's Greek Cafe", back when there was murals on the walls and actual GREEK music in the background. As the years went on, it seemed like each time we went back, there were new workers/manager, mural gone, Greek music/replaced with trendy music, "artist of the month" pamphlets near the checkout like you'd see at Starbucks coffee, smaller portions, prices raised. That's the result of it becoming Daphne's "California" Greek cafe. The quality of the food is the same, the variety has changed. Certain things were certain things there that stood out, like their chicken pesto melt sandwiches, which for a time they would still make even though it's no longer on the menu. Now they don't. You have to spend twice as much to get the same "pita points". Again, the food isn't bad but it wasn't the same as it used to be. read more

Great food, great service! They have on several occasions helped us with specials deals or given us discounts. The staff is friendly and I feel comfortable bringing kids out to eat. Will keep coming!! read more

Love their Greek salad and avocado dip with pita bread. Service is absolutely horrible lately. Toilet in the women's bathroom was overflowing with filth when they were slow. Acted like it was such a burden to grab me napkins and forks with my to go order (why wasn't it in there in the first place?). Employees were loudly complaining in front of their customers. read more

The worst Greek food ever. I have been to Greece so I know the real stuff, I have made Greek food that is loads better than this stuff. Truly the worst, worst felafel's I have ever tasted. These were NOT even shaped like traditional felafel's - some little weird flat things that resembled McDonald's hash browns - super YUCK! read more

Today I ordered lunch for my family from Daphnes on Sierra College Blvd. The cashier was very polite and friendly and repeated my order to me correctly. The wait for my food seemed a bit long. When I got back home, one of my Mix & Match plates was missing an item. I ordered spanakopita and gyros, but received a small amount of gyros and no spanakopita. Sadly their spanakopita is my favorite. What I did receive was delicious but from now on I will have to physically look at each item before leaving the restaurant. read more
