Was looking for a quick bite. Found Danny & Clyde's in a gas station. Maybe the best Po boy I've ever had. No frills, just good

Awesome little homey restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect brunch spot for the morning and early afternoon. I ordered black coffee and the ratatouille omelette with a side of bacon. It was delicious. Next time i am gonna try the steak and eggs on their entrees menu. Everything was reasonably priced. Dining room was well lit and clean. Unisex bathroom with changing table for the little ones was also clean! Cant wait to come back!

Love the interior layout, and it is handicap accessible. Bar seating available. Lots of light. Seated immediately. Drink orders taken and brought - coffee, OJ and Diet Coke. Food was out in under 10 minutes. Husband's Mushroom Toast with Bacon was SO yummy, and they even put the egg on the side at our request. My ham, mushroom, spinach and Gruyere crepe was also divine. Added side of Lyonnaise potatoes which were the best breakfast potatoes I believe I have ever had. Service was a team effort, which I always appreciate. Friendly, quick check out and we were encouraged to return. Can't wait!

The food here is great every single time. Even though it's served from hot tables, everything is super fresh because they are busting out plates left and right. The line moves really quickly and everyone working there is very nice. I've tried something different every visit. From the variations of the Baby Back to the Biscuit Boat and the Back in Town Burrito, it's all been delicious. Also, the potatoes are so good! I usually take pictures of my food, but for some reason, I can never get a shot here because I eat it way too quick. This is definitely a top-tier spot in Gretna!

If I could give ten stars that still wouldn't be enough…read more First off, they just started opening for Saturday breakfast and lunch, so if you work far away like I do, you now have a chance to get this on the weekend. If you don't know already, this is usually the breakfast location for Chicken's Kitchen, just up the street. They're just consolidated for Saturdays. The breakfast here is amazing, especially if you can get there on a Friday for the City Gravy. It's to die for. All of the breakfast options I've had here are amazing (shrimp allergy, so I don't know about the biscuit boat, but I bet it's amazing), and the maple biscuit is fantastic. I went here today for lunch. Unfortunately I missed the fried ribs by about five minutes so I got the fried chicken instead and it did not disappoint. Probably the biggest chicken breast I've ever seen, seasoned and cooked to absolute perfect. I had a large side of dirty rice, which was amazing (I'm running out of adjectives), and then a double order for two small sides of the Five Star Mac and Cheese (there's an upcharge to do that but it's worth it, although the other sides are great too). It was so much food I had to save part of the sides! We also got the pepper balls (looked great but the shrimp allergy) and Brussels sprouts. Sorry this is a lot, but you also need to know that Chef Marlon is a genuinely amazing human being. He does a lot for the community, and he does an initiative called Feed Them Kids, where he gave free meals to kids this summer, and even extended that. So you're not just getting one of the best meals of your life, you're also helping out!!!

And what that is, is a classic Vietnamese egg coffee that combines chilled coffee with a rich and creamy whipped egg yolk topping, in addition to my favorite part - condensed milk! It was creamy and so smooth. I just really savored it, the second time anyway. I probably downed the first one in a minute and I ordered the large. Tthe condensed milk with the egg yolk flavors were singing! I had no idea I would love this so much and I am great I tried something new. I also ordered the special of the day, the fried chicken sandwich. It was crispy and I loved the pickles, but it was not my favorite fried chicken sandwich. Something was different with the batter, it was almost like a tempura, like fry, but the sauce did help. It was good enough for me to eat all of it. I also had a slice of the cookie butter cheesecake. It was very good too, again not my favorite, but again, I ate every bit of it. Their coffee was the star, and if I came here twice in one weekend for that coffee, that says a lot! I would love that coffee every day.

Dough Nguyener's Bakery -- 4…read more Dough Nguyener's really introduced me and my son to the flavors of ube and pandan... and I still can't believe I went my whole life without them. Like where have I been?! We are forever grateful for that alone. As someone who already loves Vietnamese culture through food here in New Orleans, this place just hits. Vietnamese coffee is a staple for me--not even for energy, but for the flavor. If you know, you know... that bold, strong, chicory-meets-condensed-milk moment. It's rich, it's cultural, it's intentional. And when you start adding things like pandan cold foam? Simple, but it speaks volumes about the influence and beauty of the Vietnamese community here. I respect it, deeply. Now let's talk about that Croffle... a croissant-waffle situation. I went with the Chantilly and berries because... you already know, I'm gonna choose what feels like home every time. The cream was smooth, the fruit was fresh, everything worked. My only thing--personally--it was a little heavy on the almonds for me. Still good, just my preference. We also had The American--eggs, bacon, French ham, hand-cut fries, garlic aioli, and a baguette. I shared it with my son and made my own little sandwich moment with it. Used the aioli as a base, layered the eggs, bacon, and ham... and I feel like that's exactly what it was meant for. Solid, simple, and filling. I've tried a few other things too like the bánh mì and donuts. The bánh mì was good, donuts were okay... not my go-to for that. But that frozen cocktail? Listen... it was TOO good. Took it to a festival with me and between that drink and that sun, I slept the whole festival away lol. Overall, I'll definitely be back. I still want to try more from the kitchen--especially that chicken everybody keeps talking about. This is a great spot for early weekend brunch, late evening studying, or weekday coffee runs. Not too small, not too big. Beautiful lighting. A really good addition to Gretna.

Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. My friends ordered the filet and the gulf fish, and I had the charred cabbage entree, with a French gerwurztraminer blend. The mushrooms with the blue cheese sauce were so rich and delicious! Sweet treats were a no brainer. The blue cheese flan was creamy and decadent. A perfect ending to the meal. This is so far my fave restaurant in New Orleans. We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!
