We were in the Garden District and were craving a poboy. I had been researching places not in the quarter and was so happy to discover this local deliciousness. We did the shrimp and catfish poboy with sweet potatoe fries. It was wonderful. It's a small place and did in fact have locals eating there-we discovered by chatting with them. Neat attached bar. My friends had a basket of some sort and the crawfish pie-they didn't care for that but everything else was good. The bathroom doors are tiny and I was shocked our friends who are 6'4" and 6'5" could get in haha but the restrooms were super clean!! Service was ok. The lady seemed a little annoyed actually-she wanted us to know our order quickly it seemed but no one was behind us. Who knows. Probably annoyed with travelers.

So glad I came across this friendly neighborhood business. The bartender was very sweet . The atmosphere was so cozy & welcoming. The food was very flavorful and came out quick and hot . They are open late & I will definitely be giving this place another try after a night out !

If you want a delicious overstuffed shrimp and oyster po-boy, get in here! Perfectly fried light and crispy shrimp. Service was excellent. Bring cash or credit. Order your drinks at the bar and food on the other side and sit and enjoy. But please, clean your table of all trash. There were several handwritten signs!

Definitely one of the best Po boys in town. We got the half oyster and half firecracker shrimp, $28 cash. I wish they stuffed it together rather than splitting it, but we ended up combining ourselves. Bread was perfectly buttered and crispy and the oysters and shrimp were fresh. I loved how they tossed the shrimp in their sauce, like a version of dynamite shrimp. However, I'm a bigger fan of the spice in the batter rather than coated, but that's just me. Bring cash for their menu price!

Finally made it to Parasol's... old school neighborhood bar for drink and food. I went for lunch and had the fried oyster BLT sandwich. Bottom line... it was tasty but very small. 5-6 fried oysters, some thin bacon, and L&T all on fresh white bread. It was more of an appetizer than a main. I should have ordered their famous roast beef debris po boy... next time. Setting is 1950's pub.

This is such a great little bar and restaurant. The debris sandwich and fry's as out of this world and some of the best I ever had. I love the outdoor seating.

Local dive bar in the Irish channel just a block walk from Magazine street. This welcoming bar is worth the stroll to enjoy a beverage with many locals. Super chill and relaxed atmosphere. They have tons of TVs playing the game and they are a great local hangout for the college or NFL football games Their food menu is extensive. I didn't eat as we had just come from dinner but we were amazed with the sights and smells of the food offerings. Supposedly, they are known for their Po'boys. I will certainly consider the roast beef debris next time I am in town.

We stopped here after a tour of the garden district. The service was slow, but the food was worth the wait. They were big on Crawfish and many folks seemed to be enjoying them. I had a Cuban sandwich and my husband had the fish.

Google hours are different so call ahead just to make sure the kitchen is not closed. We arrived Monday night at 930 pm and the kitchen closed at 9. We came back the next day and ordered firecracker shrimp po' bo sandwiches, a shrimp basket and fried pickles. Everything was delicious! The portions were huge and we definitely could have ordered less. The loaf they use for the po' boys is fresh and soft. We wanted to order dessert and other appetizers but they weren't available like the bread pudding. The restaurant section has a seperate door from the bar section so your kiddos aren't walking through the bar section.

If you are looking for your dream po boy, go here for the firecracker shrimp! Perfectly crispy, a little spicy, nicely balanced flavors with the veg, and a great bun to finish it off. This was the best po boy I've had in NOLA. I also got the brussel sprouts, which was an enormous portion (awesome) but a little too crispy and oily for my taste. My friend also really enjoyed the regular shrimp po boy and coleslaw. We didn't have them but heard the onion rings are also fire! We had to wait a little while for the food even though it didn't seem super busy but it was worth it. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day, and they have a scattering of picnic tables. They also have an indoor bar area and another area where you can order that has more casual tables inside. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the Po Boy Firecracker Shrimp! It has a nice kick and zing to it! My mom got the roast beef, but I found it to be very salty (that's all there was to it). Also tried the Boudin balls, very disappointed because it just tasted burnt. So I didn't get the chance to taste anything from it. Side note: Mandatory tipping system when spending more money even if food is to-go. We spent over $100 and mandatory tipping was 20%.

You gotta love a neighborhood bark! Walking distance from my house. It's great to have terrific staff great food and locals to hang out with. Even if you're not a local, you will feel welcome. You can sit inside at the bar or up above in the restaurant area or Copa chair on the outside patio.!

Came to Parasols for a classic NOLA feast and a drink. This casual , cool joint encompasses everything that is great about New Orleans . Great vibe , friendly people and amazing food. I got the spicy shrimp Po boy by recommendation of Kyle the great bartender . This place is a must visit !! Truly great on all levels !!

They are re open with new owners! Serving the same stuff and tastes if not better than before

    Do they do take out?

    Yep

Are they still in business? Their website no longer works.

They were in February. They have been there forever so I'm not sure why they wouldn't be. A look at their Facebook page shows they are still active as of yesterday 05/07/18

From the moment we arrived, the food, service, and ambiance were absolutely outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our meal. The portions are generous one of my sisters ordered a salad that was so large she had plenty left to take home for her husband. My other sister ordered the breakfast croissant, and I had the smash burger, which practically melted in my mouth. Of course, we had to save room for dessert! We shared the vanilla bean crème brûlée and the beignet fries, and both were absolutely delicious. If you enjoy a good cocktail, you'll love their drink menu too the cocktails are amazing, and the prices are just as impressive. What really set this restaurant apart, though, was the customer service. I had a small issue with my debit card, and the owner personally called me afterward to make sure everything had been taken care of. That level of care and attention is rare and speaks volumes about how much they value their customers. Brown Butter Depot has definitely earned a spot on my list of repeat visits. I cook a lot of both at home--I'm someone who is dedicated enough to my Louisiana cooking to order Steen's syrup from Louisiana to my Florida doorstep even though Florida makes perfectly good cane syrup in its own right. (Side note: any New Orleans restaurant you venture to serving pain perdu with maple syrup and not Steen's--ask what the hell they're even doing.) Like most worthwhile restaurants, the menu here changes up. The specials as well as their famous sandwiches seem the way to go and I got the fried shrimp with bread and butter pickles. Exceptional--a small amount, it may have even been a starter but regardless was perfect for me. The sandwiches other diners had on their plates were large and looked delicious just glancing around at other tables. Everything comes up fast and the atmosphere is . . . just ideally New Orleans. It feels all the way "working CBD lunch" yet unhurried, a reflection of Cochon's greatness but scaled down and with utterly no pretense. There's simply a real sense of both care and expertise in everything done here no matter how simple or complex. Beyond all else, they're doing what they love here with no scaling back or dressing up to make it anything else. A winner through and through.

However, I know wait times can be out the door so plan accordingly. We were dropped off by Uber, but in terms of parking, it's mainly street parking. Overall, the shop is pretty small. They have a handful of tables outside and more seating inside but it's not huge -- hence the longer lines. It's also quite eclectic with serving on plastic McDonald's plates and the music that was playing. We ordered: The ham sandwich, wedge salad, and a delicious pickle cocktail The ham sandwich had excellent flavor! I wish it had a but more ham on it, but overall the flavor was 10/10! The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.

I placed an order about 10:20pm via GrubHub. After receiving a notification via GrubHub that my order was being made and in process, I was happy I would be having a po' boy and fries in 30 minutes. Well....20-30 minutes go by and I get an update saying my order is delayed 15 minutes. Ok...thats fine. Still satisfied that with my limited options this late in this night that I will be getting food. 10 minutes later, I get a text saying my order has been canceled. Frustration ensues... I debate. Just let it go? Or call the restaurant directly. I call the restaurant. A pleasant gentleman answers. I explain my order and cancellation notice. He says my first name without prompting and explains that Grub Hub did not assign a driver and he cancelled the order. Before my objection, however, he asks where I am and clarifies that I am at a very near hotel. He, the owner, confirms my location and room number and says he can make my order in 5 minutes and deliver within 15. I was elated. I go downstairs to the hotel lobby to wait and within less than 15 minutes he arrives with a bag of hot food that I ordered. This is customer service of perfection. When he arrives I pulled out cash for a tip and he refused to accept it and apologized for Grub Hub screwing things up before I could even have cash to give him. The food....it was great. The bread of the po'boy was crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Fresh shrimp was flavorful and lightly breaded. The cheese fries are indeed world famous.
