Seriously these are horribly delicious and ugh so good. They are donuts so obviously not good for you, but your taste buds will love you for letting them indulge in the happiness of this place. Its usually very busy in the morning so I suggest going early. The coffee is good. The selection is vast. Everything is made fresh on site. The place is neat and clean with polite staff. When I was a kid my Mom took me here every monday morning as a tradition for a fun start to the school week. I'm trying to think of the best donut they have but its hard because its all so tasty. I love this place! There's a clean coffee area with about 8 different flavors of coffee that are always fresh (the chocolate macadamia nut is my favorite). We came here on a very hot day while vacationing in Sonoma because this donut shop was in walking distance of our hotel. Although we were looking forward to a nice big cup of iced coffee to go with donuts (it really was hot that day!), the iced coffee was a disappointment. I think it was brewed hot and then flash-chilled with a bucketload of ice, because it tasted like coffee-tinged water. The donuts were pretty good though. read more

I just met the rudest most arrogant man alive! I heard this place has some great donuts so I went early in the morning to get some. I asked for a dozen and proceeded. I asked for an apple turnover and he proceeded to give me a fritter. I told him no, I want an apple turnover. Wouldn't you know it, when I got home I found a fritter in my box :( I also ordered some coffee to go. I asked for a medium mocha with regular milk, then asked if he had non fat. He said he had 2% and regular, so I said "oh, no nonfat" he said "ya, 2% with a smirk" like he thinks I don't know 2% is nonfat, but really he doesn't know 2% isn't nonfat. Then he gives me a regular size 2% when I asked for a medium. I told him I asked for a medium, he said you asked for a regular, I charged you for a regular. He obviously hasn't heard the customer is always right. VERY RUDE!!!!! read more

Some pros, some cons. The cake dough is just right- not too bland, not too sweet; good crust with a little crunch. Recommended. Frostings were on the grittier side (good or bad based on personal preference.) The chocolate was a loud and demanding flavor (which I liked,) but was enough that I felt the need to take a sip of something after a bite. Yeast donut was same on the sweetness/flavor scale, with a well balanced and sweeter glaze. The apple fritter is sweet. A crust on the bottom and a crunch all around. The old fashioned was good- same league as the cake donuts. The buttermilk failed to impress. Smooth texture, flavorful glaze, ok crust, the buttermilk itselfcame through more on texture than flavor. 4-stars overall, but I dinged them ine star for being real sugary, as far as dounts go. As far as employee attitudes, they seemed a bit detatched, but they were friendly enough. read more

Place is terrible. How do you mess up on making a donut? Customer service is just as bad as the donuts itself!

When you can get in early enough there is an awesome selection of donuts and pastries.. But early enough is a toss up. Every time I get in before nine and there are basically no donuts left. When you actually get lucky enough to get the donut or pastry you want it's wonderfully made and one of the best in the county. There is nothing worse then dreaming of the perfect donut to get there and there be none left. It is slightly confusing who will serve you next as they aren't very organized. The parking lot is also too small to accommodate the rush of customers they have during the few short hours they actually have donuts. Also what other choice do we have when the only other donuts in town are in gas stations and grocery stores. Take what you can get I guess. read more

DO NOT REWARD RUDENESS. I can't give zero stars? Really? The man who owns/runs this place is beyond rude. Their "cash only" policy is most likely a thinly disguised attempt to not pay taxes. If the city/county officials took a look, I bet the owners would find themselves in hot water. I came in to get some donuts for co-workers one morning at 6am and also a cup of coffee. I ordered with him and sensed as I was choosing the donuts that he was just not happy to be working. When I got to the counter, I noticed the sign posted to the side of the case that stated "Cash Only". So I said, "Shoot, you only take cash?" Before I even finished the sentence, he says "Cancel the order then." I looked up at him and realized he actually was a rude bastard as I had suspected. I set the coffee down said, "OK, then. I guess I'm canceling the order." I walked out and, as I went through the door, he shouted after me, "Next time, read the sign." Now, I saw the little credit card machine on the counter when I came in but that's apparently his "Poor Man's" ATM where you can run your card through for cash; for a fee, of course. Additionally, there was a large man paying for his order at the counter and the sign wasn't visible as I entered. Instead of getting into all of those details I just responded "Don't worry. There won't be a 'next time'". This jackass is a terrible ambassador for Sonoma and needs to take his cash only scam somewhere else. read more

The absolute worst shop in Sonoma! They are rude nasty people working there to begin with and the donuts are so greasy and nasty even for a donut. The location is difficult to access from the hwy and even worse to exit. I would give it negative stars if I could- 5!!!!! I actually LOVE This place. A little mom-and-pop donut shop and as long as you get the humor of the owners, they are hilarious! I frequently walk my large Bully Breed dogs down and tie them out front while I go in. The wife always come out to give the dogs a "Donut hole " (with permission of course). I was lured in by the sign of Danish and Donuts off the road, so I stopped by and got a half-glazed double chocolate doughnut and a danish. This place was recommended by my Airbnb host. I think most of the poor reviews on here are due to the lack of supply. Isn't that the sign of a good place?? Anyway. We came around 9:30am on Saturday, and they still had a decent selection. Out of the ones I tried I liked the apple fritter and chocolate old fashioned the best. Yesterday me and my sister went in here to get our family doughnuts (family of 4) and there was obviously some confusion because when we got home there was 3 doughnuts. They either didn't hear when I asked for my sister's doughnut or they just forgot to put it in the bag which was no big deal until I can back this morning. I walked in and simply explained what had happened and that I just wanted to get the doughnut we payed for. The wife proceeded to fight with me saying she remembered me and that I was trying to steal a doughnut that I had already bought. IT IS A DOUGHNUT. Any business with any knowledge of what costumer services is would know that all you have to do is simply say sorry and give me my doughnut. She said she would check the security cameras and then her husband came out and said that I would have to pay for the doughnut. So I went out to the car got the $1.25 that the doughnut costed and got my mom. When we came back in there was more arguing and then the owner said that it was all because his wife was "emotional" and they had "car issues". We have been coming here and supporting them for years and all they did was yell at us and say we were lying. We paid for a doughnut that should have been free. It was there mistake and it wasn't a big deal until they made it one. I will NEVER support there business again due to there lack of customer service and rude attitudes. read more
