Upon contacting my tenant, I learned that the plumber had visited, did minimal work, stayed for less than an hour, and left. I immediately checked my credit card and found an unauthorized charge of $495. The next morning, I called your number but received no answer. When I reached the plumber directly, he admitted he was going to call me but chose not to because it was "too late." He claimed the $495 was a "inspection fee" and that an additional $450 would be needed to complete the repair. We had a brief dispute, and I informed him I would pursue this matter through formal channels. I have since disputed the unauthorized charge with my credit card company and am awaiting resolution. Meanwhile, your continued efforts to contact the property owner through third parties to seek payment are inappropriate and unacceptable. Amazon had it in stock but it would take two weeks due to a backlog. So I whipped out my iPhone and googled the filter size and lo and behold, this nearby Grainger popped up as having it in stock. The store is close by and I've passed it on numerous occasions without paying any attention to what they actually sell. What they do sell is all types of specialty home and construction items typically found in specialty hardware or industrial stores. What set them apart was the customer service and their reasonable prices. The price for the filter was cheaper here than on Amazon. I called the store to ensure they had the item in stock and they took my name and told me it would be available at the pick up desk as soon as I came in. I asked if homeowners were welcome and was told absolutely yes. Upon arrival I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The store is immaculately organized and uber clean. The pickup counter was at the very front of the store and the gentleman behind it found my order in a couple of seconds. I entered,paid, and left all within three minutes or so. In the future, I will first check the Grainger website (which is fantastic and easy to navigate) for items that I usually suffer through Home Depot or Lowe's to purchase.
