Shady business practices. They charge you $100 just to tell you that your system isn't working--which is the reason you called them in the first place. Then they try to upsell you hundreds of dollars' worth of additional tests before offering any real solutions. I found the experience misleading and a poor value for the money. Caesar was on time and quick. Upon testing the new furnace, he discovered a block in the exhaust pipe. I needed someone to go to my condo unit (which is in Washington DC - I have a tenant there) to repair a disconnected drain pipe with my HVAC system (my home warranty company wasn't able to find a vendor within a reasonable time so this was an urgent matter). I went on Yelp and within seconds I got a response from Carlos P. who was able to go to the property that same day (this was today, Saturday, 6/28/25). I was impressed with their star ratings which was why I chose them, besides them being amongst the first to respond. They reconnected the pipe and refilled the coolant. He also gave suggestions for if the leak happened again, taking the age of my unit into consideration. I was pleased with their promptness and responsive communication via phone, text, and when he emailed me his thorough invoice. He was even kind enough to help me fill out over the phone my reimbursement form from my home warranty company (answering all 3 of my calls!). I also thought his price was reasonable. Daniel's Home Services completed a bathroom tub installation in 2023. The workmanship itself was solid; however, the water temperature was not adjusted at the time of installation. For 18 months, I believed I needed a new water heater, only to later discover the issue stemmed from the original install. To their credit, the company corrected this in 2025. During that earlier timeframe, they also installed a kitchen faucet. In 2025, they installed a bathroom vanity. The initial price was fair, and their response time was quick. Once on-site, however, the price increased by an additional $225. While this was difficult given the current economy, I was under a tight deadline and needed the installation completed. Overall, the company is decent--okay, but not exceptional. I would recommend getting all pricing in writing upfront. There were some miscommunication issues, and the installer had to make multiple trips to purchase items needed for the Petal vanity installation. I felt these supplies should have already been in the van, as most companies carry standard materials. I do need a garage disposal install which I have a quote from them . I will not be using the company. Would I use them again? No. Would I recommend them? It depends on the scope of work and the urgency of the timeframe. BUT the rep over the phone was very nice and they did do my install around the holiday which was nice. read more

Terrible experience and customer service - do not hire this company for plumbing services. We called this company to come fix a clogged sewer line. The technician had no idea what he was doing and flooded two floors of my house. He told us he couldn't remove the clog with the snake and had to come back the next day. When they came back the next day, the technicians connected us to the owner, Carlos, who was unapologetic and rude. Instead, they revised their initial quote (that covered a "difficult" clog) and tried to charge us significantly more. At this point, we were livid especially after throwing out damaged items and cleaning all night and morning for their mistake so we called a different company and they unclogged our sewer line within the same day and did not flood our house. read more

It's never fun when your HVAC system fails. Especially when it's hot outside and you desperately need the AC to work but even worse when in the midst of a heatwave. I used Yelp to find Daniel's Home Services and received an immediate response. Carlos came out the next morning to give an estimate on replacing the unit and plumbing work (kitchen sink and garbage disposal replacement, rebuilding backflow units). I had the air handler and heat pump replaced first. The team that came out on a 95° day did a fantastic job. They were courteous and very respectful of the home. And while I was working hard in the comfort of another portion of my house with AC, I felt for them as they worked hard dismantling the old unit and installing the new unit in the attic! The next day a different employee came out to replace my kitchen sink, garbage disposal and one of the backflow units. And finally two more employees came out on the 3rd day to finish up the work with the 2nd backflow unit and fix a clog in one of the lines under the kitchen sink replaced the day before. I found the work to be very good, reasonably priced, with simple easy to use invoicing for payments. Carlos is very responsive and I liked that Daniel's is local. I definitely consider them to be my go to company now for any future HVAC or plumbing work. read more

They came the same day, very hot today so that was good. They came, they saw, they did what they could.

These are hardworking guys and their prices seem fair, so I have tried on two occasions to give them business. Unfortunately I have not had good results. Running pipes through my floor joists, they did not cut the holes in the middle of the joists (there was room to do so) and they cut extra and sloppy holes. This is a structural concern and was avoidable. My most recent experience was calling them out to fix a clogged sewer line - I figured this was simple enough. When scheduling, I was told the cost would be up to $220 depending on how bad the clog was. The tech was not able to remove the clog with the snake, but he and the person he called said we could use the water (shower, toilet, etc). We did not, but after he left, the basement and the floor above flooded with sewer water. We were intentionally not using the water, to avoid this, but he had poured way too much water into the drain to test the clog. He never even went in the basement, where he would have seen that the sink was filling with water. Thank god my basement is unfinished and I am renovating the other floor. They came back the next day with a longer snake, and when I asked about price they said $700 and another 600 for a camera inspection. I tried to work out something more reasonable (Roto rooter quoted 800 to fix the clog same-say and do a full inspection), especially considering they flooded my house, but they refused. They also rerouted a drain in my basement previously. Where they capped the old drain in the middle of the floor, the concrete they added was really rough and messy, and I had to call them back to clean it up. It still stands out. Lastly, they did some work in another bathroom and the drain was so crooked (not plumb) I had to call them back to fix it. They had to tear up the concrete to fix that, and to fix the toilet flange that they had set level with the bare concrete - after leveling the floor and tiling, the flange would be way too low. The mixing valve they installed was also crooked, and their fix was to grab some of my pipe straps and drywall screws that I had laying around and use those to force it straight, putting strain on the copper. They also used a shark bite fitting for the drop ear, which will be buried behind the tile. They used pro press for everything else so they should have just ran out to grab the extra fitting they may have been missing. I later looked inside the mixing valve they had installed (that I supplied, new) and it was full of hard gunk. I have no idea how that would happen but I ended up just cutting out the whole valve and the shark bite to reinstall myself. read more

I had been recovering from a surgery in the midst of an unprecedented week-long heat wave, all while my AC was freezing up due to low refrigerant. The system relied on R-22 refrigerant and was on its last legs - it needed to be replaced ASAP. I reached out to several HVAC contractors and only half of them responded. However, Daniel's Home Services was the only contractor that was: 1) very responsive, 2) willing to listen, 3) priced competitively and 4) kept their word. Responsiveness: Understandably, HVAC contractors may have been busy due to the heat wave, but the ones that did respond to my request were stringing me along, saying they'll send me a quote in 24 hours (and often not follow through until I ask again) or to "hang tight," repeatedly. However, I received replies from Daniel's in under an hour, and sometimes as fast as 20 minutes. Willing to Listen: While researching into AC replacements, I came to the conclusion that my current 2.5 ton air conditioning unit was oversized for my house. I not only wanted to downsize to 2 tons, but also upgrade it to 2 stage cooling. In addition, I also wanted to replace the plenum box with a larger 2" thick filter media for better air filtration and return air flow. While other contractors tried to steer me away from this, Daniel's was willing to work with me on my requirements. Competitive Pricing: Daniel's wasn't the cheapest, but they also weren't the most expensive. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. With Daniel's, I got a good value. Promises Kept: Daniel's showed up on time when they said they would. They never gave me the runaround or excuses. I like that in contractors I deal with, as it shows integrity. The end result is I got exactly what I wanted, my home's air quality is very comfortable and my air conditioner is right-sized for my home. I look forward to my monthly electrical bill being lower, as my AC no longer short cycles. The quality of their installation was also professional, and team very curteous. We had a leaky toilet and used them because because they replaced my water heater in the past. Well the toilet started leaking again about a month after because they fitting they installed was too long. When I requested they come fix it on a Thursday someone came Tuesday. He didn't fit it and said someone else would come back. Nobody reached out despite my efforts. It's Thursday again with still a leaking toilet. Didn't inspire confidence in warranty of work so I would not recommend them unfortunately. read more

I had a water spot on my breakfast nook ceiling, which is directly below our upstairs master bathroom shower. The technicians did a thorough inspection of the shower floor, walls, and drain and found no issues. One tech cut a 10"x12" hole in the breakfast nook ceiling. The other ran water in the shower. They found no water leaking. I asked them to cover the hole in the ceiling with plastic, so I could keep an eye on the "leak" for a few days. I will have them fix the leak if needed; otherwise, they will patch, drywall, and paint ceiling. So far, I've only paid a small service fee. I had another plumber quote me $1,690 to fix my "leak" by only inspecting my drain. That's when I contacted Daniel's. They were clear about how they did business. They quickly respond and replace with a new water heater that was still under warranty. The charge was very reasonable for labor. I contacted them again because I notice a severely old, corroded pipe had start to leak and they came back out immediately to repair and again very reasonable price and great job.
