The other issue was there was not an itemized bill for the work; just quoted $3.5k as a flat rate without a reason behind it. read more

We discovered that only mid-way when a big hole was already made in a ceiling. Rene did a fantastic job for the plumbing problems I was experiencing in my townhouse. I have been renting it out and the tenants have a very high household usage, so we had to replace two sink faucets and rebuild two toilets. I called with some questions about a weird plumbing situation in an old 50's house. I do most of the plumbing myself in our house but we have an original floor drain that ties in with the foundation "weep tile" and then goes into the sanitary sewer. A few months ago, my place had a water leak in the shower on upstairs bathroom and it caused ceiling damage, etc. so I needed to a ceiling drywall repair, bathroom tile repair, CPVC pipes reconnect, water pressure reducer install, etc. I took my time to compare various popular local plumbing companies in the DMV area and this is, by far, the best I've found due to many reasons: 1. They are licensed, bond, and insured -- They sent me a copy of their license, bond, insurance, and worker compensation. This gave me a relief because I wanted to make sure I hire a professional. You'll need it in case if anything happens. 2. They really care about you and HONEST -- Rene, Luis, his apprentice, and other staff use the best brand and told ,e really honest and professional opinion. I have a limited budget and they told me I can just fix the issue for now. The other companies recommended me to remodel the whole bathroom, which would cost at least $4,000 or much more. 3. Their price is VERY REASONABLE and FAIR -- They do not overcharge at all in compare to other companies in this area. I compared 6 other plumbing companies. Other plumbing companies seem to take advantage of you especially if you don't really know much about plumbing. They either: - could only offer to fix the plumbing and I had to find my other contractor to repair the tiles and dry wall - offer me to fix this issue for $4,500 or more - R Plumber offer me about 40-50% less than other companies. - another well known company (they were featured in local Costco) gave me a price to fix my sink popup assembly for about $700 but I went to home depot and bought the parts myself for $17. 4. They really guarantee that they carry their work by the correct local regulations and to the high standard. -- you can see the photos for reference. - I ASKED them a lot of questions and researched the way they do they work online and everything seems to be done very correctly (e.g., using the right glue, chemical for connecting my CPVC pipes, copper pipes) - They went above and beyond in installing my water pressure reducing pipe by anchoring my water supply pipes so it doesn't get shaky. - They have 1 year labor warranty. Their shower MOAN is lifetime warranty on parts. In fact, I am so impressed that I literary have to write my appreciation on various social media in a hope to help others who are in the same situation as me. Finishing the dishes after dinner and turned on the garbage disposal. When I ran the water afterward, it backed up into the sink. After hubby used our very small snake and was unable to clear it, a sense of dread set in. This problem occurred Thursday evening and seemed that it would be more than a quick snake of the pipes. Using the Yelp feature that sends messages to local (in this case) plumbers to get someone out to the house (we were scheduled to go out of town Friday afternoon), Rene reached out and was at the house by 10 AM. He had to leave after a couple of hours for another job, and returned Saturday with his brother to replace the problem pipe (side note: we live in a town house. The person who designed the plumbing failed efficiency and logic 101.) Several cuts in the drywall and a spliced pipe later, we had water. We decided to replace the entire routing of the pipe from kitchen to street with wider pipe and scheduled Rene to come back in a few days. We had to go out of town on a family emergency and Rene had the added burden of moving all our bicycles and stuff in the way, since we could not do it. No complaints. We also hired them to restore the drywall and paint. Excellent work! You cannot tell anything was ever cut. When we redo our bathrooms - I know who to call. I have used R Plumber since 2019 from when lived in our townhouse...first time I had issue with water leak from upstairs bathroom and water leaking onto living room ceiling...other plumbers were quoting me higher pricing. R plumber did a superb job and their quote included sealing the ceiling drywall section that needed to be removed to access plumbing pipes. 2nd time around, now in our single family home, I had an issue at beginning of 2022 with upstairs shower plumbing pipe Leaking water onto kitchen ceiling. Once again, R Plumber send their top plumber - Luis - and he did an outstanding job removing one tile from recently renovated master bathroom without damaging tile (we didn't have extra tiles since we had recently moved in and prior owner didn't leave spare tiles). Fortunately the tile price was salvageable and the leak was fixed and I was able to use same tile to seal everything back. Third time, my water heater valve and water pressure Valve were replaced since it was time to replace due to age of water heater and issues with water pressure. Once again, R plumber did a great job and came back after installation within a week to ensure pressure issues I had previously were gone. Highly recommend R Plumber for any plumbing issue! The sink project ending up being MUCH more complicated than we expected, the crew must have spent nearly 10 hours working on what should have been a pretty straight forward project.
