Classy steak house, high end service, and good food. Weak cocktails, overpriced (for dinner), and not good enough to justify the cost for the average person on a regular night out. This was our second visit to Daniel's, the first time being for a regular night at the restaurant, and this time for the Apocalypse BBQ and Daniel's collab night. Our first experience had good food and great service, but just not good enough to justify us going back. The prime rib was way undercooked (we're medium rare people, and this was underdone), the short rib lasagna was bite sized and just OK, the twice baked potato was a bit dry. For the positives, bread was great, and corn pudding was solid. For the collab night with Apocalypse, it was hosted on "La terrazza", the rooftop dining area just above Daniel's. We had been to multiple Apocalypse BBQ collab nights and this was one of the lower tier nights, not as much because of the food, but the service. For Daniel's, being relocated on the rooftop for the night required a major adjustment to their kitchen staff and servers with some items (such as the prosecco we ordered) having to be brought up from downstairs. This was a major factor in service being subpar this night (40 min wait time for the first food item, forgetting food included in the meal, technical difficulties with the receipt, etc.). Daniels deserves some grace as the service in their normal kitchen is great. The redeeming factor on the rooftop was the insane platter served with some of apocalypse's / Daniel's top tier dishes (refer to photo). Can't go wrong with the platter. Overall, nice vibe and solid food, but not in our top picks for a night out. Worth trying nonetheless. read more

When I made my reservation for Daniel's via the Resy App, I wasn't expecting the restaurant to text me like some toxic Ex, but they did. As if the $50 cancellation fee per person secured by my credit card during the reservation process wasn't enough. I also wasn't expecting them to assume I wanted to be seated outside, but they did. I realize dining with a toddler presents challenges, but if there is space available in my preferred area inside and I'm paying just like everyone else, shouldn't I choose where I want to sit? Those two encumbrances aside, this meal was delicious. The service was top knotch and I would gladly recommend the restaurant. With an asterisk of course ... We had their ceaser salad next , which honestly I could go without. We've ordered it every time we've dined here for some greens, but it's neither of our favorite. It has a little too much dressing, but it is very unique, so you might want to give it a try. ( perhaps just say light on the dressing!) This time we just split a filet mignon , but last time we ordered steak off the menu and it was elite ! Our first time I had the filet and hubby got the NY strip. Their steak is delicious. ( their sauces are ok. Nothing to write home about. We ordered the bernaise ( a little runny ) and the peppercorn sauces. The twice baked potato is also a must ! It's perfectly prepared and topped with caviar. So delicious! We wanted to try the lobster Mac n cheese this time , since we've decided to try 1 new thing each time , but couldn't give up the other carb ! I'm glad we didn't because we still love the potato the best. ( Skip the lobster Mac n cheese. It was fair. Full of bread crumbs & not enough flavor or creaminess to satisfy my taste buds ) . I came here for my birthday, the ambiance was amazing and the service was top tier. I had the crab cake and the bread rolls as a starter both were amazing. For main I got the hanger steak which was a bit undercooked and I also tried the dry aged cowboy Ribeye which I thought was good but it did not blow me away. The service was annoying - they were grabbing plates before we were done eating. Very cramped dining area, jam packed and very noisy all night. Back to prices ....there is no way that a small loaf of bread should cost $11. A stuffed potato should cost $18 ?? A tiny 8oz. Filet steak should cost $78 ?? Really outrageous!!! I returned to Daniel's to try the bar bites and once again, it was a great experience. To drink, I tried the saddle up, which was smoky and delicious. I also drank the Paloma again, which is refreshing. To eat, we tried the chicken nuggets & caviar, Florida rosemary fries, French dip, cacio e pepe and soft serve ice cream with various toppings. Everything was delicious. The chicken nuggets and caviar paired perfectly. Even if you don't like caviar, you should give it a try as it doesn't have your typical fishy taste. The fries were made to perfection. The dessert we chose was so simple, yet delicious. The service at the bar was great and I have no complains about it but the service at the fine dining area is better as they're more attentive. However, the bar area was full. So close to five stars. When I review a place, I usually start with superlatives, if there are any. The best something I've ever had. My wife and I went for our 22nd anniversary. Having gone previously when it was Fiola, it was a great option for our celebration. Obviously, the place is doing great. I couldn't get a table almost two weeks in advance at a regular dinner time of 7, and no dining room seats were available. I was given an option of outside or bar lounge. Chose the bar lounge. We were 15 minutes early for a 6:15 reservation, and were seated within a couple of minutes. The staff was super attentive and polite, great personalities and proud of what they do. I started with an espresso martini with Padrón XO, and it was excellent. My wife had the Palomarita. It was really good, with a lot of flavor from freshly crushed jalapeño. They showed up quickly, beautifully presented, and yummy. We ordered the raw oysters for a starter. Just spectacular. Super fresh oysters on a bed of ice with two sauces, a cocktail sauce and a sweet sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the sweet sauce, but my wife was. The cocktail sauce, however, was obviously their own homemade with freshly grated horseradish. Superlative unlocked- the best cocktail sauce I had ever had. Then my wife had the wedge salad. Now, I'm not a salad guy, but this was by far the best salad I had ever had. Think about this- they make their own blue cheese, the lettuce was crisp and fresh. The cherry tomatoes (which I normally hate)) were insanely good. The best part was the warm pancetta. Hunks of them that were so good. I didn't plan to have more than a taste, but I couldn't stop poking at it. Superlative. The best salad I have ever had. On a recommendation we ordered the wagyu station strip steak, and split it. For sides, we got the truffled potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak was soooo good. Lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and had such great consistency. After having a couple of pieces, I tried the accompanying chimchurry sauce. Oh. My. Lord. What a combo. Superlative, the best chimichurry sauce ever. It had diced onions that just took the flavor to the next level. So good. To finish, we ordered a bottle of Flowers Pinot Noir (one of my wife's favorites), and just had time with her and I talking about our lives. My wife said she was ready to go, and that she couldn't finish the bottle. We gave it to the patrons next to us, who were very grateful. It took some time to get our check. We kept trying to flag down our server, who would serve the table next to us but walk away when we tried to get a tab. It took 20 minutes to get the check and another 10 to have her recover it. Then the valet- there is no way to get the valet to bring your car around unless you are at the stand. We tried. Ended up spending another 10 minutes to get our car and go. All in all, ready to go took 40 minutes. That was the main detriment to our experience. Food is great. Service is great until you're ready to leave, but a great environment with excellent music (straight yacht rock). You'll dance in your chair, you might sing along, you'll probably close your eyes as you eat. Well worth it. read more

Come with me to Daniel's Miami, located in South Miami. The latest hype in the Miami food scene, Daniel's, deserves all the raves. On this visit, I went with a friend to celebrate our birthdays, and we had planned to try their Miami Spice Dinner menu. Still, they presented their Miami Spice Signature Dining Experience, a Wagyu Tasting Experience that includes three courses, Japanese Milk Bread, and dessert, and we both agreed it sounded amazing. For drinks, I had the Havana Special, and my friend had the Prickly Pear Margarita; both were great to start with. We also ordered their Sullivan Street sourdough bread, which comes with sheep's milk ricotta, honey, and Thyme. The Wagyu tasting menu began with Wagyu Bone Broth Beef Consommé as the amuse-bouche, which was a delight to prepare our palates for the courses to come. I loved the presentation and how it was served. A few minutes later, they brought out the Japanese Milk Bread with a Florida Citrus Butter. This was light and airy, and the butter was delightful, with a zesty note. The first course was Wagyu & Pearls, featuring Arrowhead Beef Wagyu Steak Tartare, Brioche, and Kaluga Caviar. I've always stayed away from tartare, but I am glad I took the chance and tried this one. The texture was perfect, and the main flavor that comes through is a fresh tomato paste. The second course was a Wagyu Short Rib Orecchiette. From all the courses, this was my least favorite. It is a good dish, but the meat flavor was robust in the ragú. The third course was a Pastrami Crusted Australian Margaret River Wagyu Filet. This dish was excellent; the mashed potatoes were creamy, the filet was perfectly cooked to my taste, and the seasoning was on point. The dessert is soft-serve ice cream that tastes and feels freshly made. We also ordered the Twice-Baked potato, which has to be the best potato dish I've ever had. I also ordered an espresso martini with tequila, and my friend had their Palomita. My espresso martini was made perfectly to my taste. Overall, Daniel's was magnificent. Their prices are on the higher end, but the attention to detail and service make it worth it. They brought us a complimentary dessert of their banana bread and sang happy birthday, which was delightful. I will definitely visit Daniel's again. The crab cakes were phenomenal -- hands down the highlight of the night. The bread service was equally great; I'd eat that butter solo any day. You can never knock a place that knows how to make a proper Old Fashioned, and they had those flowing all night. The side dishes were another win -- the lobster mac and cheese and corn pudding disappeared fast. I was also eyeing the double baked potato at the table next to us, and let's just say... food envy was real. Then things took a turn with the foie gras crème brûlée -- the chef's "creation." The crème brûlée itself was delicious, but it completely overpowered everything else on the plate, especially the foie gras. Foie gras buried under a wall of sweet custard ends up feeling more like a marshmallow dunked in dessert. Creative? Sure. Successful? Not so much. Now, the main event: a 22oz dry-aged cowboy ribeye. If this were Hell's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay would've called it bland and sent it flying. We were really hoping the steak would bring the night home, but it just fell flat -- no flavor, no wow. The bread that everyone raves about fell short for me. The twice baked potatoes were pretty good. The corn dip , crab cake and lobster Mac were a hit. My husbands rib eye was super tough. He returned it for a filet mignon which was unfortunate cause that's never fun. Waiter failed to tell my husband it was a tougher cut even when he asked. Waiter was nice and apologized. Steak WAS NOT taken off the bill but they did comp the pzcookie dessert we ordered. I guess that's about the same lol. We were seated outside courtyard and it was so hot it was almost unbearable. No air flows through there so this is not recommended as a comfortable dinner spot on warm nights. I came here with a group of friends to try the Miami Spice deal. We made reservations. We were sat immediately. We had a nice table in the wine room. Our waiter, Andrew, was amazing! So attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, polite, and professional! Probably one of my favorite servers of all time! The perfect experience in customer service! From the Miami Spice menu I ordered the oysters Rockefeller, the braised lamb shank and the mango sorbet. My friend ordered the strawberry Gazpacho and the filet mignon. My other friend ordered the Cesar salad and the zucchini Tataki, and my last friend ordered the Wahoo Crudo and lamb shank. As for the appetizers, the Cesar salad was a bit dry (not much dressing). The oysters were SO GOOD! The crudo was also delicious and so was the strawberry gazpacho. We shared an order of the Miami Rosemary fries. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was perfect. It was supposed to come with a potato fonduta, but came with mashed potatoes instead. The lamb shanks were very good! My friend and I usually don't like polenta, but this was prepared to perfection! We both thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn't eat all of my lamb shank. It's a good size serving. The zucchini Tataki was not good though. The waiter kept coming over to make sure that my friend liked it. She insisted it was fine, but didn't really eat it. I tried a bite and didn't like it either. She's vegetarian so she didn't really have any other choices. If you have any items to go they hold it for you at the hostess stand. Even the bag is comes in is very nice! I had a glass of white wine with my meal. My friend tried the mocktail with watermelon and soda. I also had the fries put on my bill. Altogether my bill was $100 before tip. The hottest restaurant to be spoken about in Miami held up to all the talks. Daniel's is a legit steakhouse that provides that white glove service with elegancy. One of my buddies had an upcoming birthday and asked me where we should go. I immediately thought Daniel's since it just felt right to have a celebration of life here. Right away i got on Resy and made the reservation for a Sunday; party of 6. A few of us got there earlier than the reservation so we sat at the bar and noticed the bar had it's own bar menu, which sounded delicious and right away i told myself, I'll come back to check out the bar menu. However, tonight was all about the dinner menu, that i actually did study before arrival. I typically never do that, but the boys gave me the responsibility in ordering everything; which i am always pleased to do. We got sat in a pretty cool room that was surrounded by wine bottles and made us feel like we were part of a sopranos episode. We had our waiter for the night provide us what felt like a 25 min power point presentation about all the cuts of steaks and styles they have to offer. We felt bad cutting off the waiter because he was so passionate, but we knew what we were about to order, so we allowed him to finish. We applauded him for his knowledge and then proceeded to ordering everything we wanted. ::readers disclaimer:: catch your breath before reading everything that was ordered at once; We started off with the Chips & Caviar Dip, an order of sourdough bread with the most incredible butter, two orders of Cesar wedge salad, two orders of crab cake, two orders of wagyu meatball, followed by 32oz Australian Wagyu tomahawk, two orders of lobster Mac n cheese, corn pudding, creamed spinach and a twice baked potato. The only critic i had and this is solely my opinion, is that the servers insist in service everything to us, when on the contrary we were all fine just serving ourselves. This actually lead to two of us getting the short end of the tomahawk, but one of the owners noticed and brought a skirt steak to the table, complementary from them and complimenting the white glove service with above and beyond customer service. Shortly after this feast, slowly but surly we all began to stand up to allow all the food to fully digest. The food quality was AMAZING and nothing short from greatness. We did however forget to order some pasta, but honestly this just gives us more reason to come back. I now understand the hype and why so many Miami foodie influencers were quick to drop a reels about Daniel's and honestly more important, why Daniel's quickly became #9 on the top 50 list for best steakhouses. read more

Went to Daniel's for date night, Miami's new hot spot! Let's start with the first impression, restaurant is stunning inside, in your face fancy! I loved the look of it all. Very elegant. The night started off nice and slowly throughout realized this wasn't it. The service was ok and bit chaotic, servers all bumping into tables and each other - narrow space between tables? It was a busy night and we felt the chaos that they felt. Also...a/c was broken so it was hard to enjoy our hot meal. We started off with two cocktails the Palomita and a glass of Merlot, drinks were really nice! Those got a pass. And the bread service was 8/10 the ricotta honey butter spread was delicious just the crispy side of the bread was rock hard so a bit tricky to eat. For our appetizer we got the delicious blue crab cake - really fresh, this was the most impressive thing we got. And for our meal we shared the Wagyu NY strip steak the twice baked potato and the lobster Mac and cheese. All of which...we're not good. The steak was 90% fat where out jaw got tired of chewing, the twice baked potato was a dry baked potato and the lobster Mac and cheese had a nice breading but overall the dish tasted acidic? For dessert we thought we'd try the cookie skillet since it was heavily insisted by our waiter..it was very normal. I actually think the BJs Brewhouse skillets are 100000x better. It was a brutally expensive meal so i expected something much better, pretty disappointing since this place had a lot of hype. Our waiter Ricky provided a wonderful dinner and we can't wait to come back. The foie gras crème brûlée was out of this world. One of the best dishes I've had this year. So, I went to Daniel's for a late lunch/early dinner on Christmas Day (yes, I'm taking the date into consideration), and if I had to sum up my opinion of the restaurant in one word it would be "overrated." The restaurant itself is nicely decorated. There were A LOT of staff on the floor that day. Yes, the restaurant was busy, but clearly there were too many people scheduled because about 5 different people kept filling our wine glasses when it was completely unnecessary because someone else had done it 3 minutes ago. With that said, the staff were very nice and are clearly eager to please (perhaps a little too much). When we first arrived the restaurant was empty and it was FREEZING so I asked for a pashmina and they gladly provided one. We started with a round of martinis while we perused the menu. I had the espresso martini. The drinks were good. We let our server know that we weren't in a rush and decided against getting any appetizers, but we did order the bread with the ricotta spread which was very good. Our server told us that we had to place our entire order at once but confirmed he understood we weren't in a rush and said he'd hold off on submitting the order. While we were still choosing a bottle of wine, our entire meal arrived at the table, well before we were ready for it. We were not happy, but didn't complain. We each had the filet mignon, and shared the corn pudding, the Florida rosemary fries, and grilled asparagus. We also ordered the béarnaise sauce. We both ordered our steaks medium and they were both overcooked. My steak was bland, even with the sauce. My friend said all of the food was too salty. The corn pudding was good, the fries and asparagus were nothing to write home about. Overall the meal was disappointing. Before we had a chance to look at the dessert menu, our server sent over a banana dessert he said is the best on the menu. I'm a dessert person and rarely leave a bite behind if it's good. This was very very sweet and also not special so half it was left uneaten. I would have preferred the option to pick my own dessert. My friend wanted to have another glass of wine after dinner and asked for a list of wines by the glass. Instead of giving her the list, our server suggested a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon he thought she'd like so she agreed to try it. We'd been having Malbec with dinner so I ordered a Malbec they serve by the glass. I didn't ask the price because I know that particular Malbec is reasonably priced. When the bill came, we noticed that my glass of wine was $16, while hers was $29. $29 for a glass of wine is significant when you consider they have $16 glasses available. So to offer a $29 glass of wine when you know there are more reasonable options available, AND you fail to mention the price or give her the menu she ASKED FOR, I think is extremely inappropriate and done purposely. I love a steakhouse, but this experience was a major disappointment. I've had way better meals at local restaurants such as Sunny's and Prime 112 and regretted not having gone elsewhere. We felt rushed, which still would have been okay if the food had one been decent. I understand it's a holiday and they're busy so I kept an open mind. That's also why I rated the restaurant 3 instead of 2 stars. But, save your money and skip Daniel's. It's grossly overrated. read more

Being that I travel on a weekly basis, I have experienced plenty of steakhouses over the years. Make no mistake about it, this is one of the very best you will find, from coast to coast. Amazing food (steak, appetizers, side dishes), as good of service as you will find, and a high energy atmosphere. Just fair warning here, if you have an account to entertain and have a big meeting that requires conversation, this is not where you want to go. Way, way too loud. This place did not do their due diligence on giving any attempt at sound proofing the restaurant. It was crazy... We had a table of 6 on a Tuesday Night, and we were all but yelling at each other from across the table, and everyone acknowledged that we couldn't hear each other. Choose Daniel's Miami if you want to guarantee a memorable night. The staff was so positive and engaging, from the warm doorman and welcoming hostess to the attentive servers and supporting team. Managers checked in at our table to make sure everything was perfect. This is exactly how you want to feel when you go out to dinner. Now, the food!!!! absolutely exceeded expectations. * Chips with caviar - fun, delicious, and well-balanced. * Wagyu beef carpaccio - incredibly light with a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. * Chicken nuggets with caviar - very Miami, and absolutely delicious. A must-have! * Crab cake - packed with crab and beautifully balanced with citrus components. * Dover sole - flavorful with a balanced sauce (we recommend asking for it on the side). * Diavolo lobster pasta - generous chunks of lobster with perfectly cooked, saucy pasta. * Twice-baked mashed potatoes - 10/10. * And please, don't skip dessert: the Chocolate & Hazelnut cake. Daniel's recently opened in the previous Fiola space and has quickly become a hot spot. The interior has not changed much, if at all. The food is good overall but the pricing is steep, even for Miami. They are participating in Miami Spice and the dinner menu is a great value. For Miami Spice I would go for the wahoo crudo to start & the filet entree. The Caesar salad, although highly recommended, was bland & heavily underdressed. We also tried the black tiger shrimp but, the portion is small. The filet is a nice size & is served with excellent french fries. For dessert, I went with the lemon sorbet and it wasn't anything special. Instead, go to the regular menu & order the banana bread. 10/10. I do also recommend the crab cake, which was one of the best I've ever had. We dined on a Wednesday evening at 6:15 and the restaurant quickly reached capacity. Service was a bit slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The atmosphere wasn't great as it was too loud. The restaurant seemed overly crowded with tables in tight quarters. It was tough to get to the restroom without running into a table or a staff member that was rushing around. Hopefully they'll loosen up with time and provide a more relaxed environment. read more

Stay with me on this review, please. We got there around 4:45 and were seated immediately. Everyone was super nice, and the ambiance was really pleasant -- very much what you'd expect from a nice steakhouse. Nothing too over-the-top, just classic and upscale. Once we sat down, our waiter came over and we told him it was our first time there. He then launched into what felt like a 10-minute spiel about the menu and the restaurant. Honestly, I'm not personally a fan of that, but I understand that's how they're trained and some people probably enjoy it. There were three of us, and we just wanted a late dinner to try the place for the first time -- nothing too heavy. We ordered a hanger steak, the crab cake baked potato, and the mac & cheese. When we mentioned we were sharing one steak, our waiter gave us the worst face and the worst response. He basically said, "You're just going to share one steak?" and immediately started pushing the porterhouses and specials. And again, I get that upselling is part of the job -- but oh my God, they really need to learn how to read the room. When the food came out: * The crab cake was really good -- I would definitely order it again. * The mac & cheese was also really good. * The baked potato was literally just a baked potato. It didn't feel like it had much flavor at all. * The steak was good. Not the best steak I've ever had, but definitely solid. That said, if I wanted a nice steak dinner, I'd still choose Daniel's. I don't see myself coming back here because the food wasn't outstanding enough to justify it -- if that makes sense. And I'm not going to lie: our waiter kind of ruined the experience. The comment about us "not ordering enough food" and the snarky remarks really didn't help. It wasn't a horrible experience overall, and the server was sweet at times, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. It was also pretty overstimulating. The lobster mac n cheese, bread service & caviar appetizers are amazing! I do not eat red meat but take my children out for steak dinners since they love it. I thought the 1st of the year steak dinner would be a great way to start off 2026... My daughter ordered Australian Wagyu we were charged for Filet so I assume it's what she got.. She asked for well done we got a charred steak I mentioned it to our server who was very kind but explained the steaks were made in a wood oven and she would ask the chef if it was ok. What a beautiful place and dining experience. From the great service, ambiance and food, a great place to come if you are in Coral gables! Went with the girls for dinner for the first time. The staff were friendly. We started are night at the bar with a bottle of champagne as we waited for our table reservations. It was pretty busy on a Thursday. Once seated we all chose the Miami spice menu. It was such a great menu that we all chose options and shared family style. The bread was delicious; it was fresh crispy on the outside and moist in the inside! The oyster Rockefeller were so good! I could eat 6 more lol! We also had black tiger shrimp were big in size and Cesar salad. All very good. Then for our main entrees we had the Demkota Heritage prime filet mignon and lamb shank that fell off the bone. Both were good. Our steak was cooked perfect and had good flavor served with an elevated side of mash potatoes. Great restaurant! We went for Miami Spice Brunch and it was a great deal! $35 for 3 courses. Me and my husband had the waygu empanadas and ceviche, cacio e pepe and branzino, soft serve ice create and sorbet. I also did the $35 bottomless beverage package and it was a great deal as well! Service was great with Andrew and Kevin. The venue does not have a ramp for strollers at the main entrnce (only a side entrance that my stroller did not fit through) so may not be as easily accessible for handicap guests. They also did not have a changing table in either bathroom to change my baby. read more

Terraza Rooftop @ Daniels: Came here expecting more-relaxed premium--left feeling like I ordered "fine dining" from Temu. We had a 9:30pm reservation for the upstairs restaurant/lounge concept (smaller menu + cigars), and the very first thing we heard after sitting down was essentially: "Just so you know, the kitchen closes soon." Not exactly the welcome you expect when there are two seatings and you've booked an actual reservation. From that moment on, the whole experience felt rushed and oddly... apologetic? Plates were cleared like we were in a speed round, yet the service itself was slow. The food plating looked more "late shift assembly" than steakhouse polish. And multiple times we were reminded our drinks were "coming from downstairs," which started to sound less like an explanation and more like a slogan. High prices + low-touch service is a tough combo. I wanted upscale lounge energy. I got Temu premium: looks like the brand, but the experience arrives... different. In a city with so many options, this will not stand the test of time. read more

I really wanted to love this place, especially given all the incredible hype, but honestly, it didn't wow me. Don't get me wrong, they do all the little things right, like putting your drinks from the bar on a tray and bringing it to the table for you. Probably the only restaurant in Miami that does that. And bringing your leftovers to the front so you don't have to have them sitting on the floor next to you. These people know how to run a restaurant. Service was not only friendly, but impeccable in every way. The problem is that the food is...good. Everything was tasty but was in no way superior to Sunny's or even Perry's. And for the prices they charge, I was hoping for more. Salads were fresh and well prepared, but nothing special. We shared a few seafood dishes which were also..fine. I let myself get convinced about going here after so many 'food influencers' tried it and I fell into the Instagram clout. My waiter was phenomenal, very attentive and nice Some items were actually not bad. That is why I am even leaving a 3-star review. Going to the highlights: Cocktails were great. Order the bread - It was fresh and the butter was fantastic. The sides were pretty good too. The lobster mac and cheese and corn were great. I wish I would have ordered the Baked Potato because that looked spectacular. Now on to the bad - We ordered the Ribeye Medium Rare and it was extremely subpar - Not juicy and no flavor. I had to Add the steak sauce for it. My friend and I finished it out of pure hunger not taste. We ordered this very odd - Chefs creation foie gras appetizer and the flavors were just conflicting with each other - sweet, salty, savory, sugary, it was just a bit confusing of a taste. The dessert options were a nice touch. They sent over a few of them which was nice as it was my birthday but still overall, I expected a much different experience. It's a steakhouse and the most expensive thing we ordered was the ribeye and it failed to deliver. It actually made me appreciate Perrys in the Gables and their cowboy ribeye - That thing ALWAYS hits. The marketing department and promotions on Instagram deserve a lot of Kudos because without that I may have never gone through the door. Six of us went to Daniel's for Miami Spice, and we were all amazed. It's a beautiful restaurant, and considering it was Sunday evening, the house was full. Dinner was superb. Everyone's drinks were even beautiful. My Aperol spritz was just a tad too weak on the Aperol, though was still good. I ordered the tiger shrimp as an appetizer and they were huge. I also had an oyster Rockefeller and it was great. We ordered the bread, and my picture says it all. It tasted even better than it looked, thanks to the delicious buttery spread. All six at our table ordered the fillet and potatoes. Since the meal included no vegetables (a definite flaw, to me) we ordered creamed spinach for the table. It came in a big pot, and every drop got eaten. So the dessert part is what lost that 5th star I so wanted to give them. Even I wouldn't serve company ready made dessert, let alone ice cream or sorbet. Neither the menu nor servers said anything about it being home made, like they'd raved over the bread. The dessert got no acclaim. And the soft serve portion was larger and came with a brownie, while my little lemon sorbet looked rather...little. Very anti-climatic. I just didn't "get" this ending to a fabulous evening. read more
