    Pad Thai with tofu

Bend doesn't exactly have a hopping Asian food scene so we were pretty stoked to find Dang's. It's pretty basic inside, a couple of red vinyl booths and a table or two in a smallish space, but cozy enough. So no on the frills but a pretty big yes on the flavor: our Pad Thai w tofu was a perfect mix of nicely cooked noodles, and tofu that melted in your mouth on a pretty big plate. Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mih was also excellent, flavorful chunks of tender chicken and a nice coleslaw, though bread was a bit less than fresh. Still, a lot of good real-deal flavors, and the guy serving us was genuine, funny and supremely calm even though it looked like was running the joint all by himself.

Our Family loves Dang's! From the cozy interior, kind staff, and delicious food, Dang's provides the perfect environment for any meal. Every time we visit, the staff is attentive and quick with service. The kitchen always brings out two year old special little treats and he loves the extra attention. We love the portion sizes of the pho and even my husband who seems to have 3 stomachs gets filled up of the regular sized bowl! The flavors are rich and soothing especially on a crisp Bend evening. Needless to say Dang's has easily become one of our regular go to's on nights out

Yo man. I love Dangs. Always have and always will. But this picture is a $19 meal without tip. This used to be $12.95 and that was okay (before that $11.95. Before that $8.95). But I can't justify it anymore guys... that's robbery. Also, the fact you can get an upgraded lunch bento from Okawa just across the parking lot for $15 at most is a steal in comparison. I'm not saying it's the same cuisine, it's just the other sit down restaurant in the plaza.

I've had so many good culinary experiences here I call it "dang good Dang's" which tells you how I feel about the food, service, etc...it's all good at Dang's! This family rub spot is down home and relaxed with a friendly staff and decent food. Love the vermicelli bowls, the pho; the lemongrass chicken, and especially the goi ga chicken salad, so good on a summer day with the mint...

Had Pho and the bowl and broth was good but the condiments that go in it were slimy and old....this used to be a great place to eat.

The round eye pho is my hangover cure. I order extra veggies with it. I always see the same staff and it makes me feel welcome.

I started with the chicken potstickers, which I enjoyed, though I thought they were cooked a little bit much as they were quite hard but very tasty. The sauce that they provided with them didn't seem to fit exactly, but it wasn't a deterrent. I went with the meatball for, and it came out like you would expect. I would say that I was slightly disappointed with the amount of meatballs in the broth, which seemed to be two or three less than I would've expected, and they didn't provide much in the way of the bean sprouts or other accoutrement to add to it. That said, those weren't bummers, just something of note. Lastly, the mango smoothie was tasty and served as a nice dessert zipper into the evening.

There was no particular order I wanted to try them in, it's just how the cards fell. Pho Viet & Cafe has a large selection of items ranging from traditional pho, cold noodle dishes, and Hue-style Bun Bo Hue. They even have banh mi sandwiches which seemed on the very pricey side for my liking. What stood out were non-traditional pho dishes like duck and shrimp. I made a mental note to try those in the future. My daughter and I ordered two bowls of the standard pho dishes. Now, this is where things get confusing. I actually wasn't that crazy about my bowl. It came with tons of meats which I appreciate. They definitely give you your money's worth but the broth lacked flavor. My daughter liked her bowl so I didn't say anything. We took leftovers home and I reheated her portion later. I saved a little broth for myself to sip and it was fantastic. It was an excellent sip of broth and everything I expected from quality pho. That's the confusing part of this story because both our dishes came from the same pot of broth. At least, they should have. In any case, we got two different experiences. That simple decision on my part to save the extra broth for myself earned Pho Viet & Cafe an extra star. It was good and I definitely will be coming back.

I went to grab my sweat from the car and the food was already done. The food itself was great! I have been chasing a good banh mi and this is the only place in Bend so far that hits the spot. I normally dont even do pork but the pork banh mi is dank. I love the quality of the meat. The lemon grass adds an awesome flavor to the sandwich as a whole. The bread was also good quality. I had to travel a little ways after running one last errand so it looks a little worse for wear, but held up super well imho. When we arrived, it was absolutely pouring, with the wind blowing the rain sideways so the tiny overhang in front didn't provide much protection. Classic Milk Tea, 50% Sweet ($7) - The milk tea tastes like it is made from powder, although they do sell black and green tea without creamer, so I'm a little confused. Perhaps those are powder too? The drink is pretty thick with a lot of body and it has a harsher kind of sweetness that is too sweet for me even at half. While I prefer fresh brewed tea, powdered milk tea has come a long way through the years, and this one isn't bad at all. In fact, there's a certain brand of powdered milk tea that I'd drink over a lot of boba shops. The drink comes with boba. It's a little on the firm side, so the bounce and chew are a bit lacking. The pearls are all different sizes and have a softer velvet-like layer on the exterior, indicating some kind of sugar soak. They aren't very sweet compared to the drink, though. Milk Tea Rating: 3.5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 For being in a small city without much of a boba presence, Boba Tea Bend scratches the itch. It's certainly not stellar, but it does in a pinch.
