Let me start off by saying that I truly enjoyed my time there Sunday. We got there at noon and it was a few people in front of us but the line moved quickly. We ordered the Bellaire basic subbed French toast. My friend did the regular and i tried the stuffed cream cheese and strawberry it wasn't stuffed just strawberries, cream cheese and a purée on top of the French toast. It was pretty good, i ordered eggs over easy with maple sausage. It was ok will try something different next time. My friend did scramble with cheese bacon that she said would have rather it be crispier but she enjoyed it. strawberry and pomegranate orange mimosas were delicious. The place was lively and all the guests seemed to enjoy themselves. The staff were VERY attentive and soooo nice. Looks like there's only 1 toilet so assuming a small bathroom. read more

Great place breakfast is great here the pancakes are delicious tried a pumpkin type one and it was great .Tried a traditional style breakfast can't think of the name but I must say this small business is definitely a great place to try, I would highly recommend they also have juices if you like to drink something healthy for 4 of us it was about $97 just depends what you get. read more

Cute little cafe offering a variety of coffees, smoothies, breakfast and lunch foods. Pleasant ambience with nice lighting and service is friendly. Unfortunately food is underwhelming. Started off with a toasted almond croissant. The almond filling was good with lots of sliced almonds, but croissant itself was dry and not very buttery nor flaky. The bottom layer was super greasy. Didn't finish. Chicken caprese panini was average. I enjoyed the fresh mozzarella but the chicken was super dry and overly salty. The pesto made the bread really soggy. Not a winner. Spinach salad was average as well. I did enjoy that the spinach is crispy and very fresh, but there was A LOT of marinated beets (also super salty) and that overwhelmed the salad. Overall Dandelion cafe is a good place to study (free WiFi), get some work done or catch up with a friend, but I wouldn't come here just for the food. read more

Visited this place this weekend. Plenty parking, very busy, long line to order, most (not all) of the staff was nice and helpful. The lady at the registered was not. And seemed bothered with questions asked about the menu. So, I felt rushed, went ahead and ordered whatever so that I could get out of every ones way. And was sadly dissapointed. Pastries were good, but not enough. They had like 3 or 4 things and I was not able to order two of what I wanted. Mimosas were good. And I'll give the place another opportunity soon. Super cute cafe for breakfast or lunch. I decided to swing by for a late lunch and got the egg salad sandwich on a pretzel bun for a $1 up charge. The egg salad was good, but it was pretty dill forward. So if dill isn't your jam, you won't like this egg salad. The pretzel bun was worth the extra $1 up-charge though. I also got the honey Beary smoothie and it was really tasty and refreshing and wasn't too sweet. I was debating on getting the bagel dots since everyone raves about them, but I realized that it's the same brand they sell at HEB-$4 for a bag of 9. As a result, I didn't get any bagel dots. This was my first time here! Walking in to this place you can already smell the sweet scent of that maple syrup. The service is pretty fast too considering how packed they are! I got the chicken and waffles and let me tell you... best decision ever! The chicken is seasoned so beautifully and it's so juicy and crispy! This place is a neighborhood gem in Bellaire! Great vibe with charming decor and tons of variety on the menu. Breakfast/brunch and lunch fare offered with fresh squeezed juices, craft coffee, cocktails, teas, mock tails, mimosas & beer. Plenty of space for people to groups to sit 6 feet apart and there are some 2 topper tables outside on the sidewalk as well. This is a great place for meeting a friend, a date, or alone time to read or get some work done. The noise level inside is moderately loud I would say--so if noise distracts you, keep that in mind. It was hard to choose, but I got the avocado toast with an egg and fruit on the side along with a hibiscus honey mimosa. Holy guacamole was this the BEST avocado toast I've ever had (& I've had lots of avocado toast). Regular order is 2 pieces--I opted for half order and added the optional egg on top cooked over easy. The fruit was great as well: mixed berries and bananas all of which were flavorful and sweet. I'm guessing the fruit was organic based on the abundance of flavor. Portion size was great. Service was impeccable. They were busy on a Friday morning, but the gal behind the counter was gracious in offering suggestions and helping me decide. Horrible food. I had ordered a caramel frap, extra shot. They made it. I took a sip taste like water. I asked them to remake it. And told them what i ordered and the girl was like we dont have caramel. OKKKKK soooooo when u see that i ordered u just decided to make it who knows what without asking me sorry we dont have caramel what u would like instead????? Horrible . So they remake it for me but with vanilla. With 3 shots why does it still taste like water. So i gave up. Didnt bother to ask them to remake it. The chicken and waffles, sigh. We made an almost 40 mile trip to come eat for brunch. I had the stuffed French toast which was delicious. A definite must try. My two complaints.... The iced mocha tasted like just chocolate milk. Wasn't impressed. Second... the prices. It's a little much. 2 people dining with a tip is $50. Quite a bit for something that left us still hungry afterwards. 'The Sandwich' I'm not particularly a fan of pretzel bagels and this is no exception. They're just so incredibly dense and take away from the flavors of the insides. The insides however are pretty delectable - the bacon and the cheesy eggs are done pretty well. Especially when you think the primary function of this place seems to be as a coffee joint. Blueberry Scone This too was incredibly dense. Sprinkled with too much cinnamon. Large, but just not good quality. Bagel Dots Again, not great. A lot of thick dough not a lot of filling. It just is pretty impossible to taste anything through all that doughy doughness. If pressed I'd pick the jalapeno one though, that had a bit of a kick to it at least. The ambiance is pretty open - there's windows everywhere and very real plants. By real I mean that the succulents aren't fake and picture perfect, but the result of awkward branching you'd get if you were to try to grow some yourself (learned from personal experience). The place has a bit of that health nut stuff going on. From the decorations to the foods, to the goods they're selling on the side. They're even a pick-up point for some service that delivers fresh produce weekly. Parking seems like it would never be a problem. The servers are incredibly, strangely, wonderfully nice. I've had chicken & waffles at other noteworthy places but so glad I decided to try them here. The waffles literally melted in mouth & the seasoning for the chicken is special. I couldn't put my finger on the familiar ingredient in the seasoning that set it apart but I savored each bite before I got too full. Lived up to the hype!!!!!!!!!!! I had the day off for Labor Day and I was looking for a spot that was only open for breakfast or lunch. This task was harder than expected with a lot of restaurants closed for the holiday. Alas, I hit pay dirt with Dandelion Cafe. I had been wanting to check out this place for years as it's in the same shopping center as the now-defunct Bernie's Burger Bus (RIP to the best burger joint in Houston) in Bellaire. They have a large parking lot so that won't be an issue. I ordered the stuffed French toast for takeout which is highly recommended on Yelp. They said it would take 45 minutes which was a bit of a surprise. Dandelion Cafe is a small restaurant and it wasn't completely full when I arrived to pick up my food. I ended up waiting around an hour. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed in the kitchen but definitely a long wait time for some French toast. The French toast was served with sliced strawberries, butter, and two fruity dipping sauces. Four pieces of French Toast were more than I could handle so I had plenty for leftovers. A solid breakfast classic but false advertising. The stuffed French toast was not stuffed with anything as the sliced strawberries were served on the side. I was expecting the French toast to be stuffed with strawberries and potentially other goodies. Bummer! read more

YUM YUM YUM! I've lived by this place for a while and will not forgive myself for taking so long to eat here. The breakfast was delicious. The location is small but has cute seating outside and the decor inside is super cute. My mom and I had the strawberry pancakes (the pancakes are pretty big so beware of ordering two unless you are very hungry) one complaint is we ordered the double order and got one very small portion of syrup if I'm paying more I want enough syrup for both my pancakes. The classic breakfast was delicious specifically the roasted potatoes cooked and seasoned to perfection! I would highly recommend this place for breakfast and brunch!
