Saw this restaurant on someone's Instagram place claiming it was "bomb." The only thing I can recommend is DON'T GO! Just don't do it. HORRIBLE service, subpar food. I should've known when I saw chicken strips and mozzarella sticks on their menu. But let me start from the beginning.... I asked the hostess/waitress (Hanadi) what hookah is because I wasn't sure if it was safe for the kids to inhale it the entire time. What was her response? "Uh, it's hookah." Ok, thanks that really explained it. We got seated and ordered our drinks. She didn't know what an Arnold Palmer was. I told her it's half lemonade, half iced tea. She said is pink lemonade ok. I said sure and ordered a lemonade for my son. Drinks came. I tasted the lemonade and it was made with carbonated water. I asked her if she had regular lemonade and with a baffled look said "Yeah, that's lemonade" I said it tastes like soda. She said "yeah soda lemonade." Wow!! So we ordered the mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, beef kabob plate, and the gyro. I got my kabob plate and I kid you not, I could've used the pita bread as a fricken frisbee! It was not soft at all. The beef needed more salt or seasoning. At least the rice was good. We unwrapped the gyro, and WTF, it was wrapped in what looked like a fricken tortilla. We asked the waitress why it was wrapped in the tortilla looking thing because normally it's wrapped in pita. Again, responded in a surprised tone "yeah"... Whatever that meant. This place was so disappointing that I don't even remember how the hummus tastes and I don't even want to waste any more calories on this place. I always order dessert and was going to get the baklava, but let's be honest, that would probably taste blah too. Maybe the girl on Instagram meant #BOMBED because that would have been a better description. read more

I'm a long time patron of this restaurant and I love it. The hookah's are great and the ambiance is amazing. The place has gone through many changes and the laid back environment is perfect for getting to know people, relaxing with drinks or just studying. Some nights are busy and more hectic than others but I find it's just part of this places charm. The serving staff are personable and friendly and give the place a very welcoming and familiar atmosphere within a few visits. The food is amazing and I highly recommend the Kafta Kabob plate. I don't have many mixed drinks here but the Almaza compliments any meal wonderfully. read more

Wow!! We ordered the Beef kabobs plate, so delicious like they used filet mignon. One bite and the steak melts in your mouth along with the mouthwatering juices. Along with homemade hummus pita bread rice and salad with feta cheese. We would highly recommend this place wonderful people and wonderful food. We ordered with DoorDash and I recommend five minutes after you order call DanDana Café for your special instructions. The lady on the phone was so friendly and didn't mind that I asked for my special instructions. That's why our steak was cooked to perfection and everything was incredible. read more

I been here a few times with different size parties, all with mixed results. Last time I went on Valentines Day with a friend and we had dinner and hookah. The food was decent but I'm leaning toward the feeling it was reheated. The pita bread gets hard as it cools so again, I think just heated up packaged bread. The hookah was good, and service was very good. In the past the service has been garbage so it's hit or miss. read more

This place was okay. I came here for dinner with a couple of friends and we had a hard time figuring out who was actually working and who wasn't. I absolutely love Mediterranean food and I think I may have ordered wrong from this particular restaurant. The salad I order was a greek salad with a chicken kabob. The salad came out in small pieced onto of the salad- which was fine. My friends ordered the steak and it was much better. So for those of you going I would recommend order steak dishes and maybe straying away from the salad. Overall it was a nice dinner but I think I will find another place to try. read more

The food is enjoyable & flavorful, the items I took to go were packaged properly & the food was fresh. The meals I ordered seemed a little skimpy on the rice per meal. Banquet areas seem nice for a fun event. The strip mall the restaurant is in looks abandoned but that could be due to Covid, a lot of places didn't make it. Overall I'd order to go from them again but....I'd love a better pita bread, the pita bread was straight out of the bag, a little tough & not the best pita - could be better. read more

I came to Dandana for a bridal shower. They have a hall for parties and I saw in pictures they have outdoor seating as well. Their appetizers are really good. Their rice was good. I tried their kabob but I didn't really like how it tasted I definitely liked everything else. Their kabbah and tabuleh were really good. The servers were nice and very quick bringing stuff. Recently ordered for delivery, and food was above expectations. You know when you order food for delivery you expect it to be lukewarm, dry, or just not the same as if eating it in person. Well the meat was tender, flavorble, each (beef, chicken, lamb?) had it's own season. The rice is something to strive to achieve in flavor, texture, and appearance. A friend of mine told me Dandana Cafe is one of the first Mediterranean restaurants in the Glendora area so I knew I had to try it myself. Having Mediterranean food from Glendora and Pasadena's Eden thee best so far I walked in Dandana's with high expectations....wow!! boy was I shocked! Dandana Cafe's beef/chicken/kafta kabob was amazing!!! The taste was so authentic Lebanese! The rice with pine nuts was so delicious!!! The Hummus, The Fattoush, Pita bread just made this yummy dinner an A+! I think the Kafta slighty tops The Eden. Hookah is good too they serve hookahs your basic KM's using Al-Fahker tobacco keeping it traditional. It was a beautiful June evening surrounded by family and wonderful service. The food was excellent all the way around with plenty to spare for leftovers. I'm only giving 2 stars and that's because the waitress, Monique, was so helpful. The ambiance (if you can call it that) is hackey. No heaters outside. When I went they were out of lemon so I asked for grape instead. Every time the coal-guy would come by, I had to ask him to shake the head and blow it out. That should be done on the regular. Also, they gave me that protector for the tip, and a metal tipped hose. For those who don't get it, the metal tipped hoses are very small so the plastic protecter won't fit. It just seemed a bit slapped together. The good points? The tea is good. The hookah itself is not too bad. The service is great and I think once they do a few things here and there, they can be considered a really good hookah spot. I'm not going back, but I wish them the best. read more

Oh Dandana, where to start?! I've been coming here with a pretty solid group of friends for a few years now. We've become more like friends with the staff (Ali, Shadi, Monique, and Desiree). Parking is usually a breeze, there's a ton of parking in this strip mall. When we come (rarely on a weekend) there are plenty of tables to go around. This particular evening was on the cold side, but we snagged a table under the heat lamps and were comfortable all night. I'd suggest a hookah flavor to try, but All always makes one for us and it's always great. Sorry! The food staples at our table are (in "have to have it" to "usually have it" order): hummus, chicken shawarma sandwich, falafel, fatoosh, and sambusek. The drink staples are simple (these are always on the table): hot mint tea, Almaza, and water. No more, no less. If you're looking for desert, the baklava is amazing!!! While Dandana's has some pretty good Mediterranean food (the cheapest and best for its price in the area), their service is awful. Be prepared to wait around 30-40 minutes for your food, have your waiter constantly forget your order (he didn't even write it down! For a party of 8 people!), and be rude to you in general. I've been yelled at for asking for the fries I ordered (they were forgotten). Nevermind that the waiter didn't even write my order down, it must be my fault for not asking for them! The ten dollar minimum is absolute BS. I used to be a regular here, now I have sworn to find a "friendlier" hookah place. read more

Amazing food!!! I didn't know middle eastern/Mediterranean food could be soooooo delicious. (The frog legs are hit or miss.) Waitress is very nice and always has a smile. Prices are great. I've only been here for lunch during the week, and during this time they don't have a non-smoking section. There's plenty of room, but you're definitely going to smell the cigarettes or hookah if someone is smoking. The place was lacking and lagging on many levels. I'm going to try to forget that it sounds like a 4 year old named the place. To be clear I do not blame the waitresses at all. I think there were only 2 working on a Friday night. It took them 20 minutes to bring water to the table; mind you another 5 for cups. We had to ask if we can order. the food was lacking in flavor and if did have flavor it was funky. the salmon and shrimp was overcooked. When they did finally bring our meal, they were out of bread...really? At that point it didn't matter they were going to be fresh in another 20 minutes, we just wanted bread!
