Came here for the bday freebie! Like others have mentioned, must be at least a party of 4 people to redeem it. I like that they also have senior discount. Since we came on a weekend, price was fairly steep at $42pp. Taking into account the bday offer it was still around $33pp before tax...slightly more reasonable. Of course the weekday AYCE lunch price $27 is most worth There was no wait at 2pm since it was past the lunch rush. Pay at the counter and then will be ushered to your designated table. We were worried that since it was during an off hour there would be less selection and/or they wouldn't refill the items but they did! The Asian in me definitely had to get at least the abalone and crab legs. Both these items are limited to 1 per person each time and the few items that are served to you but can go back as many times as you'd like! Not sure if it's also available on weekdays though. Other unique items always available are BYO malatang, grill, and AYCD selection from the fridge. Of course there were also the basic sushi area, stir fried entrees, soups and fruits. They had seafood boil but was not flavorful enough. Dim sum area was small and items were from the frozen packages. Dessert section was even more underwhelming Lots of seating and even an area on the back to be rented out for more private events. I noticed the same bus boy coming by to get our plates so they prob have a designated person overseeing certain areas. He came by often and we never had plates just stacking up but could be because it wasn't peak hours. The self serve food areas were kept pretty clean for the most part. Also appreciate the free parking at the garage next door though!

Daly Buffet- 1901 Junipero Serra Blvd, Daly City Services: fast and clearing out the plates on your table quickly. 90-minute timer for eating. Adult $40. Birthday with proof of ID free with 3 purchases. Ambiance: fast-paced environment with neon lights. Point. Pick. Pay. EAT! This Chinatown "5 Fingers" spot is fast, fresh, cheap, and delicious! my favorite abalone and crawfish! Cash and card. Paid at entrance. Large buffet joint, BIG flavor! Picky eater? No problem. If you can see, you can pick! See it. Point it. Eat it. Repeat!

Good variety of food and drink options. Although the big screen eye catching a bit. Would recommend to sit away from the screen. Pretty standard food usually the same.

Very extensive assortment of items! We went for a weekend lunch and it was fairly busy, but there are plenty of tables so we did not have to wait. I should have taken more pictures because I think this buffet has some of the most variety I have seen in a while. There are multiple sections including dim sum, Korean BBQ, malatang, sushi, and more standard Chinese dishes like orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, and chow mein. There was also so much seafood, including clams, oysters, crab legs, and even abalone soup. Overall, the restaurant is very spacious and I think it is worth it for the variety alone. There is also a semi-private area in the back that looks like a great option if you are hosting a larger group or celebration! Free parking is available in the garage next door.

This location is iconic but I've seen buffets come and go here so I really wasn't expecting anything special. The entrance is a lot nicer than I remember. Once you walk inside the seating area and the food layouts are basically the same as the previous buffets. They have a little bit of everything. Dim sum station, you'd think they'd have Har Gow or Siu Mai, nope. Although I didn't try it, The build your own hot spot station looked pretty good. They had other Asian foods, like fried rice, chow mein, steamed fish, pork chops, beef and broccoli, green beans, chicken wings, grilled chicken, fried shrimp, and sushi. Out of everything I tried, the only thing that I really enjoyed was the spicy pork. Everything else was just ok. I have to be honest about the sushi bar. Although it looks appealing, it wasn't good. Most of the sushi rolls are basically the same California roll with different toppings. The deep fried rolls were ok. The salmon nigiri was not fresh and had no salmon flavor. If you have allergies to things like gluten, Shellfish, soy. I'd classify this place as a nightmare. I saw one of the workers at the buffet line use the same spoon for 7-8 difference dishes. So cross contamination obviously isn't a concern to them. And I'm certain they use the same food surfaces/tools to prep/cook everything. So if you have severe allergies, I wouldn't even try. For everything I tried, I'm surprised that I didn't get sick or an upset stomach. Overall the food was just ok. I think what I enjoyed the most is the amount of choices you have. But I hated that I got full from foods that didn't even taste that good. This isn't a place I would personally choose to go too, but if invited by friends or family I would gladly go.

Lots of options. They have a hotpot station, hot foods section, sushi station, and beverage station. Some options that stood out to me were the abalone, crab legs, malatang, and beverage options. However, the abalone and crab legs were limited per plate. Food quality was average. Ambience was busy, lots of people during dinnertime. Whole restaurant is super spacious. Everything is self service. Grab plates, foods, drinks yourself. Only thing they help you with is grabbing dirty plates off your tables. Overall food was really average for a pretty high price. Nothing too special, had lots of variety. Wouldn't come back but glad I tried it out.

This is a good spot with a lot of diverse items to choose from. It's approx $40 on the weekends, then cheaper priced on weekdays as well as different prices for lunch or dinner. We went on a weekend, so probably, I assume, experienced the menu at it's very best. The highlights are: Roast Duck Snow Crab Legs Cooked to Order (you need to tell them and watch the grill and request to get your order pulled off early if you want "Medium Rare") fresh Meats, like Galbi short beef ribs If you look on Yelp, you'll see a lot of the photos. When you go to the restaurant, before you commit, you can ask to walk in to check it out before committing. They do provide FREE drinks, so that's not a separate upsell offer. They have all or a lot of Asian foods like sushi, sashimi, dim sum, BBQ grilled meats, soups, and lots of Chinese food. This spot used to be KOME and TODAI, so has a custom buffet DIY self-service layout. Parking is easy in the adjacent covered parking lot structure.

We celebrated my son's 20th birthday at Daly Buffet for the second time, as we also celebrated here last year! It's becoming a special place for our family to celebrate his birthday and create wonderful memories together. We're happy to be back again for another year of celebration. Thank you, Daly Buffet, for being part of these special moments with our family. We look forward to coming back again!

Finally we were able to try this buffet place in Daly City. It was a Wednesday early dinner so there was no wait for us. After scouting the area, I went to try some of the rolls but I don't know their names because I didn't see the names. I only tried 2 kinds they were just okay hmm 3/5. Then I also tried their crab salad 3.5/5. Honey walnut shrimps 4/5 Roast Duck 3.5/5 Cook to order beef short ribs 6/5! -this was the highlight for me! Baked mussels- 3.5/5 Salted Egg Buns - 5/5 Steamed Ribs - 2/5 Garlic Abalone - 3/5 Snow Crab - 3/5 it would have been nice if there was butter Desserts- 5/5 The place looked exactly like the old buffet but upgraded. When we were about to leave they were more people coming. Will I go back? Yes :)

My guy and I were on a search for a good seafood buffet while in San Francisco, since we couldn't go to Supreme Crab (see review for details), and found this gem, Daly Buffet. When you walk in, it's very clean, well decorated, and has a cute instagramable wall for pics with your family/friends/date that is just too cute 4.8/5... and they're ready for large crowd, with automated machines ready to dish out numbers. Luckily it was a week day and we stopped in for dinner. The staff is very friendly, and didn't give our service dog any kind. They treated him as the extension of his human that he is, and that's awesome! Also, staff cleaning up and putting out food were quick and if you blinked you'd miss them! 5/5 for service Now on to the food! I'm not quite sure how this place has such a low rating. The sushi was decent and the sashimi served ice cold, I loved the kimchi, raw oysters, and cold mussels 4.6/5 for cold foods. I moved onto the hot foods next and had their green beans, spring rolls, dumplings, chowmein, roasted duck, spicy frog legs, snails, clams, mussels, fried prawns, and hot and sour soup (which was so yummy) & this area was decent but not stellar, I'd rate a 3.5/5. Their desserts and drinks really put this place over the top for me, their unlimited cold jasmine tea was light and flavorful, their Rose mousse cup was surprising in the best way, and the chocolate fountain with marshmallows was just what I needed to top off my meal 4.5/5. Overall, I rate this establishment a 4.5/5

Was happy to learn that an Asian buffet had return to the location. If memory serves correctly it was Todai, MC Skewer and Kome--all of which were buffets. Ever since Kome closed down I was hoping something would return in this post-pandemic era. Enter Daly Buffet. WOOOH!!!! My party of six arrived at 11:00 am on a Friday and it was already packed. A very good sign. Lunch was around $30 and I was thinking it was probably worth it. It was. After our party was sat, this guy made a beeline to the sushi section. The plan was to gobble up enough sushi to get kicked out. Although I ate four plates worth, I was allowed to stay. The sushi was good considering it was all-you-can-eat. I cleared my plate every time. My next visit will focus on hot food. Oh, yeah. Well, maybe a little sushi. Now for the pics...

I seen these noodles on my social media feed and it wasn't angel hair

San Francisco has a void to fill when it comes to large scale buffets. The last one I really remembered was Moonstar in the Civic Center area in San Francisco. They had rows of food like sushi , seafood , chow mein, and lots of deserts. Today's buffet landscape in SF is centered around one type of food and it's usually has a time limit. Currently you have to go out of San Francisco County to try a bigger buffet experience. So I had to go next door to San Mateo County and went to a place which was a buffet place called Kome . It's now called Daly Buffet in Daly City on Junipero Serra. Outside of San Francisco I landed in Daly City at Daly Buffet on the boulevard of Junipero Serra. There are lots of tables and the wait can be 30 minutes when I arrived for lunch. Inside there is hella food. You will find everything from sushi, noodles, ice cream, and dim sum . You can also find different types of fruits and also seafood. They have quantity and the food is fresh but it won't win any Michelin awards. Like most buffets it has a time limit and it's 90 minutes. Come here for Brunch or Dunch if you have an appetite. Come and get some seafood like shrimp , fish , and "clam"which you can make sour with lemon squeezes like you see on TikTok and "Instagram" then try different foods on your plate you try to "cram" like cheesy pizza, steam buns, noodles, sushi also some "lamb" The glory days of the Buffet in SF was a different "era" as they say "que sera sera" the buffets are not as big as the ones located in Lake Tahoe or Reno in " The Sierra" but it's good sized buffet located in Daly City at Daly Buffet on the boulevard of "Junipero Serra"

Compared to most buffets i'm used to, this place def has a lottt of food that I enjoyed. It's better than the buffet who used to be in this place. I went for the lunch pricing of $26. I felt like this was really worth it. They have sushi, a good selection of protein and seafood, fried food, soup, dim sum, and around 6 kinds of dessert. They even have malatang which was a nice plus and the thai spicy soup was flavorful. A little strong but still enjoyable. The eggplant, steamed fish, chicken feet, tuna sushi, hot n sour soup were great! Obviously for a buffet the food won't be perfect so it was good for what it was. The vibe inside is busy and the tables are pretty filled even on weekdays but they have a lot of tables as it's huge inside.

We almost never come to Daly City and certainly never eat here, but tonight we were in town to see…read morean IMAX movie and wanted some light bites to eat before our show. Not much in this area, found Tomo, it seemed interesting, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is very spacious, decor is minimal, seating is plenty- although the cushions & tabletops are showing a lot of wear & tear and should probably be replaced or repaired. That being said, it had a very casual & comfortable almost diner-like feel to it. Service is very good, there are a few waitresses circulating around checking on the dining room, refilling drinks, running food, taking orders, and checking in with patrons. We were seated quickly, and the food also arrived quickly. Our waitress was very nice, professional, and efficient. Food was good. We mostly ordered appetizers since we were on a schedule to see a movie and just wanted something lite to tie us down for the next 2 hours. Got edamame, agedashi tofu, pickled cucumbers, and a shiitake mushroom roll. The edamame plate was so small, I think I literally counted my 12 bean pods, I couldn't believe it was a paid dish. I sort of complained to the waitress about it, and she got the hint and brought out another small plate with maybe 8 bean pods. Ok, so we ended up getting 20 overall, lol. Weird way to start the meal. The shiitake roll was so-so. It literally fell apart just trying to pick it up with chopsticks, i don't think they were rolled tightly. Taste was good, but nothing memorable. I really liked the Agedashi tofu with some semi-sweet dipping sauce that was very savory- just salty enough, rich enough, and bold enough to bring out a lot of flavor out of plain tofu. This dish was pretty big in size, and it made up for my disappointment with the size of the edamame appetizer. Lastly, the pickled cucumber was really good. Fresh, crunchy, not too tart or sour, perfectly light, with a hint of vinegar & zest to cleanse the palate. Overall, I enjoyed our light snack here at this casual restaurant. Prices were decent, service was stellar, and food was ok, save some really small portions, at least everything tasted good, fresh, and balanced in flavors & seasoning. I had to dock points off for portions & the quality of the sushi roll falling apart, but other than that, I recommend Tomo was a good place to stop to eat before heading to the movie theater next door.

Came here on a solo date before the movies. I ordered Orion…read morebeer, tempura and two sushi rolls. I came in and got seated immediately. I ordered the beer and tempura and kept going back and forth between a couple of rolls. I asked the waitress on her opinions and she recommended a Sexy roll since it was rice paper not the traditional seaweed wrap. It was such a great recommendation. I liked that roll better than the other roll I ordered. The other roll I ordered was Super shrimp. When I was leaving it seemed like a popular place since parties kept coming in and knew what to order. It is a bit pricey but they do have a happy hour. Can't wait to come back for that

I love going Asian markets, especially Japanese and Korean stores. You never know what goodies…read moreyou'll walk away with! I have to practice a lot of self-restraint because there's always a fun find. We come here for the banchan and the kimbaps, but I've been known to sneak in some ice cream (they sell the viral Tu Cha goodies, but I only like the bing chillin bites). Veggies seem to be pretty fresh as well. There's also a rather large restaurant that takes up the center space, as well as a bakery. I've been eyeing the pound cakes and salt bread, but have yet to try. We typically come later at night or mid-day on a random weekday so the lines aren't bad and it's not super crowded. It's a bit out of the way for us, so it's not a typical stop and I'm not quite sure what it's like during peak times.

Amazing One-Stop Shop, But Expect Premium Prices!…read more I recently visited Jagalchi at Serramonte Center and was thoroughly impressed by how nice and upscale the entire space is. It functions as a true high-end Korean supermarket experience. I absolutely love the "one-stop shop" concept they have built here. It is incredibly convenient because everything you need is under one roof. Along with the grocery aisles, they have a fantastic bakery inside, a spot to grab a drink, and even a full restaurant right in the building. Having a beauty boutique inside as well makes it so easy to pick up your Korean skincare and cosmetic essentials during the same trip. The only major drawback is the cost--it is definitely an expensive market with heavily inflated prices compared to standard grocery stores. While the quality of everything is pristine and the unique food-hall vibe makes for a fantastic outing, you should definitely be prepared to pay a premium at checkout.
