I'll start off by saying that Natalie was amazing. She was patient, helpful and made me try all possible options. The store offers the MyFitt fitting process which is pretty cool. The suggested sizing dint work well for me though. Natalie helped get the shoes I wanted from the Fort Worth store and I picked it up a couple of days later. Small but elite running store in THE Shops at Legacy in Plano. It is easy to find and if there isn't a parking spot on the street, there is a garage right behind. They have the top shoes and they have advance equipment to check stride, alignment and help protect your body for years of running. The also have the latest recovery devices plus energy and fitness supplements to keep your body going. (Nothing more embarrassing during a long run than to run your body low on blood sugar!) I was absolutely blown away by the knowledge I received walking into this store. I am a very new runner and this place was recommended to get fitted for the proper shoes. We walked in and were greeted instantly by Ethan. He started out by measuring our shoe sizes and directing us towards the back to get scanned. You stand on a pad that scans your weight distribution and a whole lot of extra important information I am not educated enough to regurgitate. He then pulled three different pairs of shoes and one insole for each of us based on the information we had just learned.The insole recommended was placed into the left shoe and the regular insole stayed in the right. We walked around for a bit in each of the options as he explained the differences we should be feeling and how they differ from each other. I also wanted to point out, we stopped by Dicks last week and just browsed at running shoes. They were priced similarly and personally I would pay a premium for the experience. I cannot express how wonderful the customer service was along with the thorough explanations for us novice runners. Amazing experience with salesperson Wendy! It truly felt like having a personal shopper but for running shoes. I've never been fitted for athletic shoes before... In fact I didn't know such a thing existed. This is not your typical foot locker/sports store experience!! The customer service is phenomenal here. High tech foot scan and a personal gait analysis. Wendy gave me some running tips on improving on my heel strike. They have beverages during your fitting should that strike your fancy. All this was complimentary! I think his name was Steve (sorry if I am wrong) SO HELPFUL! I just want him to know that he really did help and my new shoes have made all the difference. Such a cool experience for finding the right running shoe! Not only do they take your measurements, but the store has specialized machines that produce a 3D scan of your feet to show pressure points, and the team members record a clip of you running on a treadmill, all to make sure your shoe is the perfect fit and provides the right support! Staff is super friendly and welcoming, even during peak busy hours and the Covid environment. I was experiencing pain and having trouble recovering after runs, but the shoe I was recommended here, has helped alleviate so much of that, plus I've been able to adapt my form based on the feedback the team gave! I had been having a problem with recently running 2 miles a night - my top left ankle had been giving me problems. I was referred to Dallas Running Company by Fitness HQ who said this store could analyze my running, my foot print, and gait(sp?). I had the chance to work with Wendy at the store and she did a phenomenal job with the manager Steve as well. They looked at my running style, my gait, my feet position, and ankle movement. I was able to get new shoes that fit my style better. They recommended that I do certain exercises to work on my flat feet and provide techniques to allow my feet to force an arch and create balancing techniques. I've been meaning to come into this store for weeks and finally last night I got the opportunity to! This is a cool boutique running/shoe apparel store right in the middle of the Shops at Legacy. I got a chance to meet the owner/president, Tyler, and he made shopping in the store a great experience. There is an area where they not only measure the length and width of your foot but also the arch in your foot. There is a treadmill that monitors how you run and from there they analyze your feet and decide which shoe fits best for you based on your needs. They really tailor the service to the customers needs. There is a nice sit down area for you to sit in case you're there with a significant other and don't want to watch them shop for shoes the whole day. This is a great place to also buy a lot of apparel and other fitness equipment needs for running. I know my next pair of athletic shoes I buy then I will happily return here to Dallas Running Company! read more

I recommend going to Dallas Running Company for all your running needs. I'm running the NYC marathon in 20 days. I came up to this store (late on a Friday night...20 minutes before closing) after having a bad experience buying running shoes from another locally owned Dallas running store that has been around for years in the Highland Park/University Park/Mockingbird area. The only thing I can say is I only wish I would have come to Dallas Running Company sooner. Shari was amazing to work with. She was patient, she was kind, she was thorough, she CARED. She was empathetic and sympathetic about what I had gone through even tho it didn't happen at this store. She LISTENED to me as a customer. She bent over backwards to help me, to analyze my feet, to look at all of my socks. To get an idea of what I was doing and where I was heading. She had experience and shared experiences of being a runner and running marathons and ultra marathons which did not happen at the other place (who knows if they were runners or posers), she stayed at the store an hour past closing until almost 10pm on a Friday night to help me and work with me. She also presented me with options, where at the previous store they never gave me any options. At the previous store, they just came out with one shoe and said this is your shoe that you are getting. No color options, no nothing. Shari brought out three different options and when I wanted to try a half size up she went and got it. When at the end I asked her if I could try the three options versus the Hoka she brought out the Hoka. Shari talked to me about breaking in the shoe and not going more than 5 miles on my first run in them, she talked to me about the blister I had gotten on my foot from not wearing the proper socks with the new shoes I had purchased from the other store and how to properly care for my feet and the blister, she talked to me about caring for my shoes and taking the sole out after I run. She talked about not using the shoe for 24-48 hours after the run which I had never heard. This was amazing customer service. I left with something last night from the Dallas Running Company that could not be purchased, knowledge in my arsenal, and assurance I had the best shoe for me. Assurance I didn't feel good about prior because the other store had lost me in both the categories of trust and likeability even though I purchased the shoe from them. For my next pair of shoes, I will be purchasing them at Dallas Running Company. And when I get the question which I get from co-workers and friends all the time and never had an answer to give them, it will be to go to Dallas Running Company and it will be to go see Shari!!! Again, I can't thank Dallas Running Company enough for the amazing experience and for hiring people like Shari who can execute on that experience. Thank you for not boasting about the great customer service on your website (like the other guys) but delivering it in person. Customer service is the core competency at DRC. I came in earlier today looking for a dedicated running shoe & was immediately greeted by Cory who helped me find a great shoe for my needs. As others have mentioned, we started out with a traditional foot measuring, a biometric scanning of sorts, and a quick jog on the treadmill to build a base data set for what kind of shoe I would need. We then tried on several pairs, each with different nuances, & Cory explained very well the pros & cons of them all. I saw other associates in the store helping other customers in the same way, and must say I really appreciated the time & effort they put in to making you feel like a valued customer. Make no mistake, this kinds of experience beats the brakes off going into a big box store & trying to figure everything out yourself. I'll be back here in a heartbeat when I need anything else. I was treated horribly in this store. I was recommended this store but never received the warning that people of color are not welcomed. Oh boy did I get a lesson. The sales lady was not helpful at all. She seemed very bothered by me but not other customers. I was completely in shock by the obvious racial discrimination. I tried to tell her why I was in the store and what I was looking for but she had no interest. I never had the chance to explain any foot issues or that I work healthcare. She dismissively brought 1 pair of shoes out for me to try and quickly walked away. Another couple of a "lighter persuasion" came in after me and she was explaining all of the different shoes and options. I have not been treated so poorly. The other sales woman was thoroughly explaining and assisting another customer. Needless to say, I run on to a different store and purchased 3 pairs of shoes with a company that appreciated their customers of all races and ethnicities. Love this store. I purchased a pair of shoes for walking because the shoes I had were causing my toe nails to turn black. After 4 months, a hole was appearing on top of one of the new shoes.
