My favorite pizza, nobody beats Dalisa's pizza in my opinion. I moved to CT and dream of this pizza

Closest to Flushing pizza I can find in North Babylon! I've also been here and the owner is an elderly gentleman who's very charismatic, friendly and has a great sense of humor. Food is ready promptly, always packed neatly and pizzas are thin, great sauce and a good amount of gooey cheese. This particular day, I wanted to try the deep dish and hadn't seen many posts about it. It's dense and not your traditional Chicago deep dish but doughy with crispy edges and a heaping amount of cheese. It came piping hot so waited to tear the slices apart. One thing I did notice was that it seems the middle may be 2 layers bc when I went to eat it, some points the layers separated. Still delicious and amazing reheated in the oven the next day! Also, the price may seem high for this pizza but you'd be full after just 1 so consider how many people can eat just 1 pie! read more

Stopped in for a quick Sicilian slice with my son. Food was decent but I thought it was pricey for a slice.

Picked up a white slice yesterday and paid $6.50 for it. Yummy and staff was nice but nearly $7 for a slice is kinda crazy.

This is by far the best pizza in the area. By looking at the negative reviews, you could tell that they are other pizzerias making the reviews because I've been coming here for over 50 years. I've never had a bad experience. And the other pizzeria prices are the same, if not higher, but less the quality food read more

It was alright. I did 2 dinner specials which is listed as $13pp but my bill was over $30 and I paid cash so that does not make sense. I waited much longer than I was told and it was not busy, not sure If I need to go back when Pinos special can't be best and food is top notch. read more

Dalisa Pizza is one of quite a few pizza places in my neighborhood. While it's not necessarily my go-to when I'm looking for pizza, it has its culinary moments. As usual, I went there to check out my benchmark dishes, and fortunately I made notes, as this was quite awhile ago. Tale of the ol' tape: Penne alla Vodka Has enough sauce and does contain prosciutto, an inexplicable rarity in the vodka sauce game. The sauce has a nice creamy tang and although very good, it's cost puts it at the extreme end of the price spectrum, richer than the cream that partially composes it . . . . Garlic Knots Formerly, the garlic knots here were more like garlic rolls, and were soaked in oil. Back then, the oil was definitely a taste distraction and a repeat buy deterrent . . . This was several years ago, and in the interim they must have changed it up a bit. Now they're medium sized, with have a light crunch on the outside . . . but unfortunately a medium-heavy doughy chew on the inside. This is too bad, as they have a good garlic flavor. If they had a lighter texture, it'd be a home run. Would I get them again? Yes, but only to bring them home, cut them in half lengthwise and bake until the doughy aspect was mitigated a bit through drying in the toaster oven. read more

I Always get a pie, zeppolis garlic knots and when i want to switch it up the hereos are my go to i love the shrimp parm hero so fresh and tasty! Its sad because the food is decent. The owner is terrible. Fran has horrible people skills and phone etiquette. She should really understand that the way she acts is causing customers not to come back. Waited over an hour for delivery missed half our order only to tell us well its hot and were busy and wait over an hour to get the rest delivered, her screw up not a single apology. Just Eh... pizza dough and crust is good. But the cheese not good. It has a sour flavor and is too greasy for a plain slice. The cheese quality was not high quality as you can tell from first bite. The flavor of the regular slice to me says it all. The owner is a sweet older man who is so nice though but the manager guy behind counter (Short hispanic man) is not friendly. My husband had tried this place on his own an the manager refused to give him a box as the manager wanted to charge him for the box for his couple slices and was completely rude to him for no reason. ZERO STARS! We have been going to Dalisa for years. Years!! Everyone there knows us by sight. Tonight, we ordered thru Doordash. We received the wrong order. Completely wrong - not ours! Called Dalisa and they would not take responsibility. I'm not sure why a business would choose to totally dismiss their long time loyal customers that way. All because they do not have the business sense to retain loyal customers. They've just lost regular customers over a bill of under $50. I was in retail for many years, if one of my loyal customers had an issue, FOR ANY REASON, even one that I did not cause, I'd give them their money back, no questions asked. Why would I want to lose a long time customer? Why do they? Bad, bad business. Now I had to deal with Doordash, which was a painful 20 minute phone call in which they said MAYBE they'd give me a full refund. So I have no food, and possibly out money, which means I've paid for NOTHING and we even brought the wrong order back to Dalisa. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO DALISA. read more

This place was my childhood!! We ordered from Dalisa literally every week and they were the best! When they were in the Waldbaums shopping center, they would also pick up Baskin Robbins ice cream for us to bring with the pizza. For all that FIVE STARS well deserved! Our experience was fantastic!!! From beginning to end, professionalism and perfection. They delivered to us exactly at the time we asked!!! Each item was labeled with the persons name on it, all paper goods were included, even ice in a bucket for our beverages. A few of us had shrimp entrees that were some of the best shrimp dishes I have ever ordered, and I worked in several Italian restaurants. I highly recommend you try the shrimp parm. I think it's time we write this pizzaria off. The woman behind the counter ALWAYS gives an attitude. The prices always change and aren't consistent with the website. My wife ordered a cauliflower pizza for 11.50 and she charged 13.75 even after she told her the price was different on the website. I have been eating pizza at Dalisa for at least 20 years. There is just no comparison to other pizza places. The cheese on their pizza is consistently good. My wife who is from NJ also loves Dalisa and she recommended to try their pizza well-done and it was great. Their restaurant is fine too. Will continue to go back read more

Their pizza is fantastic, but a recent foray into their restaurant for a sit-down has planted some doubt in my mind as to whether I can recommend it to anyone. First of all, it is a pricey place; no free refills on soda, then they say it'll be a small charge if you want to upgrade to Uncle Tony's sauce on any pasta dish. The small charge for the sauce is $4. All for a ladle full of sauce with bits of pork and beef. The meatballs, while good, were $6 for two. And I can't stress enough $2.25 for a large soda, which if it were large, I would have ordered only one. My girlfriend and I had two apiece, which meant $9 for soda. I certainly understand the economy is tough now, but there is no reason to overcharge for things that should not be overcharged. The cost of everything is going up, except for people's salaries. I give the rating 3 stars if only because of their pizza (also pricey), which I think is probably the best I've had here on LI. read more

Pizza is good but the guys at the counter ripped me off. I was in hurry so didn't bothered. Basically I ordered a large mozzarella pie off the menu and it said $25.50 and they billed me extra $10. When I asked they said its extra for large pizza which clearly doesn't make sense based on the price on the menu. I will have to avoid this business based on the experience. Advice to owner : please have clear pricing policy and make sure the people at counter know what they are doing. read more

I went in on Saturday, April 10 to get a quick bite I was told by the woman behind the counter that we had to sit in one area which really did not allow for a 6 foot social distancing I noticed that the tables around me were dirty from previous customers and had not been cleaned off and or sanitized. There was a woman with two children to our left and entrance into the dining area was blocked off to where you had to squeeze in sideways.It appeared that one of their regular customers came in and I noticed from his side view that has a mask was under his chin. The owner an older man continue to speak to him but at no point instructed him to put his mask over his mouth and nose. When the man came into the dining area where we were sitting I asked him why he was not wearing the mask correctly. Everyone in the pizzeria watched including the owners while this man said to me that he was sorry that I was not happy with the way he was wearing his mask. I indicated to him that this was why we were never going to get rid of the virus because of people like him not having Consideration for other people. The owner and his wife just sat there and looked and did not ask him to put on his mask. I will never go to this place again they do not Sanitize/clean up in between customers nor do they enforce the state mandated mask law. I used to come here for years, stopped coming because their prices have become outrageous especially when there are so many better options in the area. Recently have come back here a few times to see if anything has changed. Pizza is still good but the customer service is horrible. Came here a few weeks ago with a friend and the guy behind the counter was so rude my friend was almost in tears. I have thicker skin, but why such a bad attitude? Came back by myself and same thing, met with very extreme rudeness. The only exception is Tony who's the best. Unfortunately, I think the pizza place that was here prior ( a looong time ago) was better. On this visit I had a Sicilian slice (my fav) and a salad. Given, I am not a HUGE pizza fan but when I eat it I want it to be good. In my opinion the pizza was just 'ok'. The salad was typical and fresh but I always feel weird about paying $5-6 for a to-go mixed salad that is not overly generous (I know I know 'then I should just make it myself...') Had a free pizza from a raffle that beach bum (in the same shopping center) did a little while ago and when my boyfriend called to order it every girl and the apparent manager gave him an attitude. I've had an issue with the older woman myself on multiple occasions. So sad bc I actually feel uncomfortable going in here bc the males that work there just proceed to hit on you.
