2 years ago we were in town and my daughter loves the pizza at Angela's so we went. They had chicken sliders, like a mini chicken parm with vodka sauce on a a bun that was like a large garlic knot. We tried it and loved it so much we went back the next day to get it again. We are in town again and I drive straight to Angela's for their "Apps" slice and a chicken slider, eggplant slice and a house salad. SO GOOD!! Their vodka sauce is addictive. There's a lot to unpack here. Angela's definitely has a cult-like following in Islip. It was always a little far for me growing up, there were just 12-13 closer pizzerias. But I remember hearing great things. I've gone a few times now. I enjoy it, my wife does not. Which hinders my ability for repeat visits haha. Many people rave about the sauce. I think it's pretty good, not my fave. But sauce is a highly subjective business. Where they really excel is the variety of options. They have tons of specialty pies. A cornucopia of pizzas to pick from. Garlic knot crusts? You got it. A half pizza half calzone monstrosity. No problem. The tough thing with a pizza calzone hybrid is it takes a while to cook the plump calzone half, usually resulting in an over cooked pizza half. That was the case with this bad boy. The bottom was rough at best. But it was fun! A novelty item I wanted checked off the list. Will I get it again, probably not. Am I glad I did, hell yea. read more

Whenever I come across a consensus best restaurant I can't help but hold them to a high standard, in this case Angela's lives up to the standard set. This place is situated on a relatively quiet local road, it's rather small with about 4 tables inside and maybe 4 outside and 3 employees running the show at the time I was there. I went with their hot honey pepperoni slice and their chicken bacon ranch slice. The hot honey pepperoni pizza I noted has been trending online lately so I wanted to give it a shot. The crust on this thing was THICK so if you like bread you'll love this. I however wish the ratio of topping to crust was a bit more equal, aside from that this slice was a total flavor bomb. Salty pepperoni, sauce, and hot honey. Sweet and salty. A tried and true combo. I will note that there wasn't much spice at all but that may be for the better. The chicken bacon ranch was LOADED and tasted superb, I loved that the chicken was not dry at all as opposed to some places I've been to for a cbr slice. Oh yeah and the slices are MASSIVE. It took me a while to actually finish these slices over the course of the day but I did and I enjoyed every bit. I was super impressed with this pizzeria, so much so I think it might be my new go-to spot. read more

Okay this has been one of my go to's since I was a child and I completely forgot about it until the other day when I stopped in for a plain slice. Their sauce is just PHENOMENAL. It's sooo sweet and tangy I love it! Their plain slice was thin and just slightly burnt, how I enjoy it, maybe grandma allá vodka was lacking a little in flavor but the dough and the service well made up for it. I go to Angela's once in a while as I'm not a local, so usually end up buying a pie and have it for the whole week. The Sicilian and regular slices are phenomenal and Sicilian square slices toast very well and are great tasting days later. On offer is a wide selection of specialty slices which I haven't availed myself with due to the satisfaction of p!ain regular and Sici!Ian, both using lots of Angela's signature sauce. Here's where I qualify myself - I have a job getting around the tri - State area so am lucky enough to sample pizza everywhere. I don't eat hamburgers, beef, tacos, sushi, fish, pork, hot dogs, Poke, etc. With a lack of choices, pizza is on the menu for me every day. It really is hard to find a place like Angela's that is the full package. Most places the slice can be good but its cracker sized, or the cheese looks spray painted on or easily counted, light as a feather with fancy sprigs of oregano, etc. Rarely do I feel fulfilled as with Angela's on all aspects of pizza. man do they really live up to their slogan, it is without a doubt the best pizza in town!! the chipotle chicken slice and the boom boom are my go to ! i try to swing by as much as possible to get my slices!! Very friendly environment and always very enthusiastic, and very generous as well! If you're ever around the islip area i'd really suggest making a stop at Angela's, the best pizza in town ! My boyfriend had gotten a Sicilian slice, he took one bite and a LONG hair was baked into the slice..... needless to say, we will not be returning. Pizza is a little less than so-so, nothing was particularly tasty and I probably won't go there again.

The food was very good, the service is where I had to take off stars. The first time I ordered from here they forgot the large grilled chicken salad and when I called them the woman didn't seem to care or want to help. She was surprised I still wanted it. I figured everyone forgets something and whatnot. Then I ordered again the following week. It took twice as long as the time stated. The delivery driver did not ring my bell or knock. He just left my food on the porch. Luckily I was checking every few minutes for him. Then when I opened up the mozzarella sticks we had ordered the sauce container was opened, spilled all over and the sticks were sitting in the sauce soggy. The bag must have been shaken around or not handled very carefully. No one would eat them. This time I used their app help and was given a refund. But after two bad experiences in a row and with so many other pizza joints around we won't be ordering from here again. read more

So my friend has talked about Angela's for over a year now and I just never had the time to stop by but TODAY I found myself walking into Angela's for the first time and I was blown away! As my friend and I walked through the door we were greeted by the owner Vinny. Vinny is my favorite person now because he took such amazing care of us by customizing our pie. He asked what we wanted and I didn't know what to ask for so he surprised us! When our pie came, it was fresh out of the oven with the cheese still bubbling and the aroma of the garlic knots and delicious Smokey pepperoni. I'm sorry but Angela's is definitely the best pizza spot ON LONG ISLAND. I know I know I'm sorry but it's most definitely true. I fell in love with the place when I took my first bite into the mouth watering slice I knew that I was in for a treat. I give this establishment a 100 out of a 100. Everything from the cheese, the sauce, the meats, AND CRUST were allllll on point and perfect! As you can see in my before and after photo, NOTHING was left!
