I just had to share my horrible experience at this restaurant this past Mother's Day weekend: As soon as my husband got his entree he knew just by smelling it, it was going to be too spicy. So it was very spicy!!!! I was going to switch with him since I like heat - but I couldn't even eat it myself. He calls the waitress over to tell her and hope the manager would understand and make him the same entree I had- the waitress was understanding and then came back with regret apologizing nicely - the description is written in the menu and it's his fault for not reading it thoroughly. There have been plenty of times, waitresses have commented on a selection I've made that had a lot of spice, basically warning me. This waitress did not. Well my husband kept his cool, being a business man himself, couldn't believe the manager wouldn't bend. My husband said " Fine I will eat bread and watch my wife eat" Needless to say I couldn't eat of course. I asked to have mine packed up and the manager had my husband's packed up as well, the spicy one, that we threw out when we left the restaurant. Bad decision on the owners part loosing our business. Such a shame because we really enjoy supporting local businesses, but we will not be supporting this one any longer. read more

Lovely decor, but really loud. We sat at a table right near the bar and couldn't really have a conversation without raising our voices. Service was perfect - our waiter was friendly, professional and efficient- there when we needed him, checked in at the right times and left us to enjoy our meals the rest of the time. We started with baked oysters Rockafeller (their spelling.) Delicous, but with a really overpowering taste of Gorgonzola or bleu cheese, so the oyster was lost in it. Without the oyster it would make a nice dip to spread on some of their wonderful bread. Salads were large, pretty basic lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 olives, some carrot and cucumber. The house vinaigrette is heavy on the vinegar and could use a little balance. Swordfish Livornese was a special, a huge piece of fish over pasta with mussels on top. My husband can usually finish a large platter but even he had to take half home. My chicken Marsala was absolutely delicious, but lacked that Marsala flavor. Mushrooms were fresh and abundant. Again it was an enormous portion and I took home 2/3 of my meal. In spite of claiming to be full, my husband managed to enjoy a slice of Key lime pie, his favorite dessert. I passed and turned my chair around to watch the Yankee game since it was easier than trying to talk. If we return I think we'll choose a weeknight when I hope it's a bit quieter, and will request a table further from the bar. Everything was good enough that I'd like to try some other menu options that piqued my interest. read more

I've been going here for almost twenty years and it's by far the best Italian place in the entire town. It used to have a more dark, cozy ambience but I've gotten used to the more open format that was part of the rebuild 10 or so years ago. Portions are huge for the price and the menu has been very consistent over the years. It's always hard to pick an entree but whatever you do end up with is bound to be great. Service is always good too. They have lots of help each night whether you want more bread, water fill ups, or simply need your server. My only gripe is that the parking lot can feel a little tight but all in all, this is probably one of the best and most consistent restaurants in a 5 mile radius. read more

My family chose this restaurant for a gathering after a funeral, as it was my aunt's favorite spot. She loved the chicken francese and veal parmesan, both of which were exceptional. The restaurant boasts a spacious, beautifully designed interior with an impressive bar area. Although we encountered a minor issue with seating the staff quickly resolved it. Excellent service is clearly a priority here, and I felt very welcomed. A special thank you to Christine, Allison, and the gentleman whose name I didn't catch for their dedication. The warm bread with olive oil, salt, pepper, and grated cheese was a delightful touch, complementing the hot wedding soup perfectly. The salads featured what seemed like homemade croutons, which were a treat. The veal parmesan was exquisite, perfectly balancing cheese, veal, and sauce, leaving me overwhelmed with joy. To finish our evening, we enjoyed hot coffee and an ice cream log cake, capping off our gathering perfectly. Everyone raves about it so I was so excited to try. It was my parents second time and enjoyed their food both times. I didn't have as good of an experience as they did. The bread basket looked great. I had the piece with the sauce on it and I thought it was dry. My wine glass came with a lipstick print on it. I did bring it to their attention and they replaced it. The appetizer of fried green tomatoes was good and had delicious flavor. There were so many dinner choices! I had a very difficult time deciding, my eyes were all over the place. There were almost too many choices! I decided on the pasta with pesto and pine nuts. It was ok. The dish was huge, enough for three meals. This being my first time here I had heard that the food is outrageously delicious , and it was above and beyond my expectations! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal . We did make reservations and upon arrival we were immediately seated .The restaurant and bar area were extremely crowded , that being the only drawback as it was very loud . Great experience! Had a quick bite at their pizzeria (next door to their grand restaurant) and they had a unique slice that was speaking to me. The zucchini, summer squash, broccoli and sauce slice hit the spot!! I was about mid way through eating the slice when I thought, this is so good, I have to Yelp! about it! I wasn't in the mood for pizza but I'm always in the mood for veggies and this was the perfect combo. Also, met Paul (the tall, dark, and handsome bartender) who left impressionable good service for all his guests. He very attentively multitasked drink orders while never allowing your cup to go empty. Also loved that they have outdoor seating. Another great opportunity I had was meeting the great Steve Rizzo who frequents their restaurant often enough to have his name gold plated to the bar. It is a very consistent restaurant with many choices. Tonight I had chicken meatballs with buffalo mozzarella in a vodka sauce as an appetizer. Four delicious meatballs in great sauce. They Always deliver. I normally have sushi grade tuna with an excellent balsamic reduction salad as an appetizer. It is so big and delicious I sometimes have it for dinner. Tonite there was a special for dinner, a tuna poke bowl. I ordered it because, even though it's an Italian restaurant, the chef knows how to cook. It was the best, I could have licked the bowl clean. Now I have eaten there many times and mostly the traditional Italian dishes, but whenever they have specials,it's worth trying. The service is excellent. Paul behind the bar is attentive and quick. I have driven past this place so many times before and always wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did. The service was really good and the food was amazing. I had the linguine with broccoli rabe and it was so great. My husband got the gnocchi bolognese and that was really good. I had the fig and vodka and that was ok. I've been coming to Francesco's for years. It's one of my favorite Italian restaurants. I even had my daughters' Communion party here. They're always pretty packed, even the bar area where people hang out and eat. We were sat quickly and brought our water and bread right away. Our server immediately came over for our drink order. Last night I had the shrimp scampi over linguini. The flavors were excellent but my shrimp was over cooked and mushy. The linguini in white clam sauce was excellent! Our server was cool and had a great personality. He was very attentive. I went to Francesco's on a Saturday afternoon, we had a table of 10. To start off, the bread that they provide was delicious, I think we asked for 2 refills as we kept e joying those. Our end of the table ordered 2 differed calamari's for apps. One was the arrabbiata and the other was Buffalo. Both were delicious, with a ton of flavor and each had a nice spice to it. The Buffalo calamari actually comes over a little bit of salad which was really nice. I had the Rigatoni with broccoli rabe and sausage. Not only was it very tasty, but the portion was large. I had to take some of mine home because I could not finish it. While I won't go through all the other dishes that were ordered, I do know everyone enjoyed theirs as well, and again there were a lot of leftovers as they give you large portions. I came with a group of 11 on Saturday Jan 4,2025 to celebrate my birthday. Your restaurant came very highly recommended. When we arrived,a glass of water was spilled by me when I moved it from my young grandson's reach. it got on table and floor and that seemed to set the mood for the evening. A few people had asked for water without ice and was told they are not allowed to serve it that way. I have never heard of such a thing! The food was great!! THE SERVICE WAS NOT!! No one came around the whole time we were there to ask if anyone wanted their water refilled. Considering that a tip was added to the bill in the amount of $65 because we were a party of 8 or more, I think your staff should have been a little more attentive. Some desserts were ordered by the table and in my opinion my dessert should have been taken off the bill not my grandson's ice cream. One of the better restaurants in the area. Have ordered from here for years ...the food is nearly always excellent and the kitchen and wait staff is always friendly and attentive. One of the only places that gets Gnocchi Bolognese right! While it's nearly always perfect, tonight it was a bit thin....tasty but thin. (Everyone deserves a pass from time to time, I guess) They have their full menu, outdoor seating, and distancing inside. Worth the little extra efforts! Solid pizza joint. Definitely the best pizza place in Babylon. We're not sure why we haven't tried this place sooner and now we've been twice in a week. My SIL came in from Brooklyn and we were craving some carby goodness. We we're going to trek out to Massapequa to a sit down place but they were closed for Xmas Eve. So we found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. They were very friendly on the phone, and when hubs went to pick up the food he said they were very friendly inside as well. He said there is a take our side and a more fancy sit down area where you can dine in. We ordered the margharita pie and eggplant parmesan. We opted out of the side of pasta for $2 but that's a bargain considering how much some places charge for pasta. We all loved the pizza - a bit salty but not over the top. Also a bit garlicky but we like garlic. The best pizza we've had in Babylon to date. The eggplant was decent too. Second order was chicken parmesan, margharita pizza, and stracciatella soup. Little dude loved the soup but for me it was too garlicky, and I probably wouldn't order it again. Hubs and mini hubs devoured the chicken parmesan, and I had like three slices of the pizza (sorry not sorry). Went to Francesco's last night with my great friend and had a great time. The ambiance is lovely and relaxing and the service fantastic. We wanted something a bit healthier so ordered a cauliflower crust pizzetta with meatball and ricotta and also shared the crab and tuna avocado stack appetizer. With two glasses of red wine and great conversation, some delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere, you really can't ask for anything more. I would definitely come back and try some of their pasta dishes because they looked outrageous. I was pleasantly surprised with the crust because I really didn't know what to expect with it being the first time I had it. It's similar in taste and consistency to a gluten free crust. We have been here multiple times in the past. We came in as a party of 4 on a Saturday night. I called ahead for reservations and when we walked in we were seated right away. All of the staff were wearing masks and we were seated about 6ft from another table. The food was delicious and always has been. The server immediately brought us water and bread and offered us drink menus. I ultimately had the bolognese which was a great combination of multiple different meats. It was very tasty. They did have outside seating set up with multiple heaters but we didn't see anyone outside since it was a cold night.
