What a shame. The owner, Giustino, is legitimately one of the rudest service workers I have ever come across. My wife and I were visiting for the weekend and we wanted to try Miseno Pizza out due to a friend recommending us checking it out while we were there. My wife placed a call for pick up, and Giustino rudely hung up on her accusing her of messing with him, as if she was making a prank phone call. I have never experienced such poor customer service. They have a variety of specialty pies from the Buffalo chicken pie and Vodka Pie to the deep dish pizza pies, They also offer a bunch of different appetizers from buffalo wings to chicken fingers and french fries. I have read thru some of the reviews and I don't get it. Seems like the owner has had some issues but the food has never been In question. The food is incredible. I for one have never had any issue when I have gone here. I live down the road in deer park. There are many pizza spots by me but they do not even come close to Miseno. I never buy a pie we generally get the pre made slices they have and never been let down. The best thing outside of the food is my car smells like the pizza for my ride to worm the next day. All of the food I've tried from Miseno is delicious except for their regular pizza. Would recommend the margarita, buffalo chicken, sicilian. Their dinners are great too, especially the chicken francese and marsala. Food is usually ready quickly, but sometimes you still wait when you get there. I just ordered 2 pie's tonight. 1 regular and 1 with crumbled sausage. I paid 50 dollars for these two pies. I am honestly for the first time disappointed with this place. Been coming here for atleast 4 years. The amount of sausage they put is very minimal. It felt very rushed, not sure if they changed recipes for the pizza itself but it doesnt taste the same at all. My new go to pizza place just 3 minutes away from me. I was never a fan of Deer Hill Pizza which where Miseno is located. I wasn't sure what to expect decided to stop in just try a slice and hoped it would be good. I'm glad to say it is! I've tried a few of their slices plain,chicken and pinwheels all have been delicious! I haven't tried any of their entrees but plan to soon. Definitely worth trying out this new place. I got to try this place out yesterday for the first time and was shocked this pizza was not the typical Long Island pizzeria pizza. It reminds me of the pizza I used to eat when I was a kid(I'm 40 now). Now I'm going to be honest, the reason I came to this location is because I'm a horror movie fan and this is the location used in the film Terrifier. The pizzeria scene where Art the Clown is sitting at the table smiling at the girl, this is where that scene was filmed even though the restaurant was under different ownership at that time. So I originally just came here just to take pictures and show my wife. I took a bite of my slice was like, Holy S***!!!! It's that good. I'm looking to try their Heros next. I will say I have ordered pizza on several occasions and has been good. Last night we decided to try their menu items - chicken parm hero and penne alla vodka. Both were a miss and I would never order again. The sauce on both tasted jarred and for $30 it was very disappointing especially for the small portion of the pasta dish. I was excited to see a new pizzeria open in the Deer Hills Shopping Center near my house. The owner is from Naples and believes in having an authentic menu. I ordered the meatballs to go, which cost $4.95. The order came with 3 large meatballs in sauce with some fresh Italian bread. This filled me up! My dad was from Mola di Bari, Italy and I have travelled to Italy many times so I do know a thing or two about good Italian food. The meatballs were soft and tasty. What stood out was the sauce, which tasted home made. I also picked up two grandma slices which had fresh basil. Again, the sauce shines. I consider myself a pizza expert growing up in Brooklyn, so I decided to give Miseno Pizza a shot. I came here for lunch and I was apprehensive at first so I ordered only one slice of pepperoni pizza. A regular slice was taken from a pie, a lot of pepperoni was put on it and then the slice was put back into the oven. When the hot slice came out I took my first bite and all I could say is OMG. It was the perfect pizza, at least for me. It was crispy, real cheese that stretched from my mouth to the slice as I pulled it away, and the pepperoni had the perfect balance of salt, spice, and heat. The slice was so good that I had a second pepperoni slice. I will be back but this time I'm taking my Sicilian wife with me. read more

There are a dozen pizzerias on deer park avenue who should sit and take a lesson from these master craftsmen direct from Naples Italy. We finally have an authentic Italian pizzeria in a town full of Italians!! They know their ingredients, the correct temperature of an oven, and they cook their pizza to perfection. Crispy, lightly toasted crust, not raw and gummy like the abomination that has become the accepted norm around here. It's perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. They have a wide selection and traditional recipes from their home town in Naples. The pies are 18" in diameter which is the standard as opposed to the 16" scammers out there. House pies are the standard as well at 20". This is one of the very few times I can say I haven't had pizza like this since being a kid growing up in queens. Thanks guys read more

I am a New Yorker from the boroughs, I lived in Brooklyn and Queens growing up, so I know GOOD New York Pizza! I have lived in Long Island for the past ten years and NONE of the pizza shops in Long Island represent REAL New York style pizza, until I found this pizza shop by chance! The first time I had their pizza, I tried their regular slice and at first bite I was VERY impressed with the sauce, the cheese and the crust and I was ready to put this pizza on my top five BEST in New York!!!! The second time I tried their pizza, I decided to try their Deep Dish regular pizza. I am not a big fan of Deep Dish, because it tends to be to much dough and it takes away from the pizza itself! BABY....this is the BEST Deep Dish pizza I have ever had! The dough is not thick and it is light and fluffy and paired with their good sauce and cheese it will make you speak Italian if you don't! I raved about this pizza to my daughter, who grew up on Margherita's in Queens as I did. Her first question was, "Is it better than Margherita's?" No, disrespect to Margherita's, but I had to tell the truth, and say yes, it was better! I bought a deep dish pie home for the family to try. After my daughter's first bite she AGREED this pizza was better than Margherita's and she she wants this to be our new go to pizza spot in Long Island! 8/31 was the last day to nominate for the Best of Long Island and I am sorry I couldn't nominate MISENO PIZZA for the best pizza in Long Island! If you are ever in Deer Park, NY and want a REALLY good New York style pizza, stop in and get a slice, you will not be disappointed!
