Picked up food... very substantial white spinach pizza! Loved it! Also a cheese pizza which we added black olives. Small cheese calzone and tomato sauce. Garden salad and another Gorgonzola salad. Ready on time and helped to put all in vehicle, thank you! read more

Im not from LI and know nothing about LI other than its takes forever to get to from the boroughs with insane weekend traffic. That said I was in the area for a family event and of course was hungry. Stepped into this random pizzeria and ordered two specialty squares. My god the pizza here is pretty good. Its been a couple of months since and I honestly don't remember what it was that I ordered. All I remember is being surprised at how fresh and delicious the pizza was. The vibe here is family. You could tell who owns the spot and its workers are probably family. I like that. read more

I'm so confused after reading through the reviews. I can't wrap my head around the positive reviews right now, I think I might be living in the twilight zone or something. New to the area and looking for pizza, this place was close and had good reviews so we decided to try it. It's takeout only but that's ok, we wanted to eat at home. I'm so sorry but the pizza we had was not very good. I don't know what these people see in it unless they have nothing to compare it to. The grandma was looking and tasting old and was salty and the garlic knot was just bland dough. The chili chicken slice looked and sounded interesting but ended up in the garbage can after a few bites. The one star is for the spinach calzone, it wasn't bad. Someone please message me and explain the good reviews... read more

My friend and I went to this pizzeria after a few brews from Sand City brewery which was walking distance from the brewery. We walked up, and was greeted by a lovely Sicilian woman who may be the owner, but not sure. The staff was accommodating and the pizza was to die for. Has become our go to pizzeria for our weekly fix. Free delivery over $15, always come super fast, and they do great deals. Grandma slice is great, regular slices are huge, and my husband is obsessed with the chicken francese. The lunch specials come with garlic knots and a soda included and are a huge portion. Nicest staff, and food is always consistent. Located on the corner and looks big BUT it's just a pickup/ delivery place, not a sit in. read more

So I have made it a bucket list thing to do to find some of the best pizza on Long Island. So just after having some not so good pizza I went down W. Hoffman , Lindenhurst and came across this small little pizzeria. I have to say I love the vibe and for a place with no inside dining, Just pick up your food and go or sit just outside. So in reviewing this pizzeria I was quite pleased with the pizza. Small crispy crust, great taste and not at all doughy. I give it an 8.3 on the Barstool rating system which is my 3rd highest so far. I would definitely go back again and also would try some more f the specialty pizzas in the glass case. To me this is an old school place, good staff and would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Always tasty and prompt. No complaint 3 years later. Cute little spot for take out or ordering takeout.

What a happy discovery. Last minute decision to order Italian food for dinner. Food was delivered, hot, delicious and large servings. Their combo dinners offer nice main course. The pizza is very good (nice crust to it). Their garlic knots, the best I have had in ages. I have put them on speed dial. read more

I was a regular customer of Spassos for over a decade. The last time , I called to place and order and mentioned I had a coupon from the South Bay Neighbor for $10 off a 'regular' pie. I asked if it was possible to add pepperoni, the guy taking my order said yes and put in my order for a pizza and a salad with the coupon, and my total was $40. I hung up the phone and was confused by the price, everything is more expensive these days but $50 for a pizza pie and salad before adding the discount seemed like way too much. I looked up the prices online and the total was not making sense, so I called back to ask if there was a mistake. A female employee answered and I politely explained my question. She spoke very quickly and said "he gave you the coupon it's $40" not explaining the prices of the two items I ordered- it was as if she was hearing a completely different question than the one I asked, which was not complex. When I came to pick up my order, I presented the coupon and asked again, politely as I always do, how my order for a pie and a salad was $50 before the coupon. The boy manning the phone who took my order was 5 feet awat and capable of speaking up in case he made an error- but a blonde lady with brown eyes whipped her head around and started aggressively yelling at me - no build up, just off the bat yelling- that it's "common sense" that the coupon I described and now showed these 3 people (like a picture book for those who cannot read) that it only applies to a cheese pie (apparently a cheese pie is described as 'regular' and pepperoni on it is $10 more and I should know that, according to her.) This woman was so aggressive, it looked like it was about to be a pizza shop fight video from one of those twitter fight accounts- with the crazy woman jumping over the counter and people hitting each other with the big wooden pizza peel. I however, have pride in myself as a lady and know better than to chimp out like a feral animal, so I stayed in control and let the boys working and the men waiting in the restaurant have a free show of how to de-escalate when faced with a mentally ill woman who perceives me as an easy target (in New York, where half the population is bipolar schizophrenic, this is a common occurrence.) The blonde woman gave me a huge attitude and said she'll "take the pepperoni off and charge me for a regular" with a nasty, biting tone. I said "thank you," paid, left, and never returned. That was two months ago. I don't know how much money Spassos has made off of me and my family since they opened, but they won't be making any more again. Pizza is fattening anyway, who cares. read more

One of the best regular pies around and very reasonably priced as well as the dinner specials! This is my go to every time.

I miss this place. After their Wantagh location closed a few years ago, I always forgot they had this location. Welp, finally stopped in last night and the pizza is just as good as I remember. We ordered the buffalo wing pizza (great), combo #3, pretty darn good, and stromboli (good, but not worth the price). Joe the owner is great, most of his employees are good as well. Easily worth doing to and grabbing some food from. read more

I love this place, I always have. I still take the trip from Levittown to Lindenhurst since the Wantagh location closed. However, the older lady who takes phone orders simply never gets orders right. It is a pain, honestly. Today for example - I ordered (as I always do, and there is always something different wrong) a buffalo chicken pizzette - with the hot sauce on the side, not on the pie, because one kid likes it spicy and one does not... not only is the hot sauce ON the pie, so I now have a hungry angry kid... but I was also charged for an additional side of hot sauce. I also got a plain slice that was cold. Very frustrating that this one employee just never ever takes orders correctly. It also seems like they changed the blue cheese recently (the taste is different). I also asked for extra of that onnn the pie... I def got no extra at all. Just a hot mess made of my order. read more

Great speed Great prices great value great pizza try it!! The people there are awesome.

My favorite place to get italian food delivered. Really good al a vodka, chicken parm, eggplant parm. Kids love the mac and cheese sticks, rice balls and buffalo sticks. Pizza is thin style and typically cooked to well done if you like that type this is the place to go. Really like their grandma pie since I prefer my pizza more on the thicker side. Surprisingly they make a great and affordable philly cheesesteak, which is hard to get delivered around here. You really can't go wrong with their food. Generous portions. read more

We ordered dinner for delivery. I had the chicken parm hero... was nothing to be desired. They gave me chicken cutlet with melted mozz cheese.. sauce on the side. I didn't ask for sauce on the side. So that may be there way of chicken parm hero. The cheese was cold. The garlic knots looks so delicious, but looks were deceiving. Tasted weird. Like fishy. Can't describe it. Was not what it looks like. They messed up on my mother's order, which can happen thats okay. The driver took her dish back and said he'd come back with her dish.. My pic of the chicken parm has the sauce I added to the bread. Update: the restaurant was very accommodating in fixing my mother's order and also gave us a credit for the next time we order. We will try them again. read more

I ordered chicken spasso Sunday night and wound up with food poisoning!! I know it was super bowl Sunday bit you need to check your products and cook them well before serving. That was the worst food poisoning I ever had! I will never order from there again and no one in my family will either! We are a large family who order at least once a week from this place - the food is good. However, my son ordered a pizza last night which arrived in 11 minutes! Unheard of! Well it turns out it was cold and not fresh - he called and was told it was fine - they said someone else ordered it but they gave it to him (I don't believe that) So he said that's it? And the woman said that's it. That is the WORST customer service I ever heard! Pizza cost $19.50 plus a $5 tip - Needless to say, their attitude has cost them good customers! We won't ever order from here again - read more

We use to order from here all the time but it's as if they stopped caring about how the food is made. The pizza is either extremely salty or sweet. The food is always cold by the time it's delivered to our home (we live about 1 mile away) also one time we ordered chicken wings and it looked like bites were taken out of it so I called up. The owner was trying to tell me I'm wrong and that's impossible but I showed the delivery guy and he said it himself it does look that way as well. My dad is a retired chef and I have been cooking for many years as well (the chinch of meat like that did not fall off in the fryer...it was bitten) read more

Great Pizza! But that's about it! It's a neighborhood place so you want to show support, but I wanna get behind the counter & show them how to make a pot of sauce & cook other stuff! They are Italians, their food should be excellent! Their online Menu prices are well below what real prices are, like by $3-$4 on hero's & salads, bring extra money! They are nice people, but the mom behind the counter needs to smile sometimes. If they are reading this...please get it together, you used to be much better and correct your pricing! read more

Spontaneously ordered from here one night and I've never gone elsewhere. It is delicious. The sauce is to die for, their regular pie is mouth watering, & from the variety of entrees we've had so far...we're hooked. Definitely worth a try! You'll be happy you did. read more

Live a few minutes away for years and I finally found myself trying this place for the first time. Its outdoor pick up, ( covid guidelines in effect.) Nice location friendly staff, quick pick up. Slice in my opinion.. Pepperoni slice 9/10 Great Sausage slice 8/10. Big slice, not dry, not to greasy. I will be going back soon for a second round or a different order. If you're close or local. Definitely worth it. read more

I'm so fortunate this is my local pizza parlor. The pies are fresh and perfect toppings of anything (when ordering delivery). Great price and offer quality meat toppings. My only issue is their Grandma slices because it under-values the expectations. Simple parlor but great pies. read more

I have grown up in Lindenhurst my whole life and I have to admit I didn't love Spassos, so we stopped going for a long time. We were recently over all the pizza spots we had been going to in the area so we figured we would give Spassos a shot since it has been so long. Wow. Not only were we happy with everything, this is our new pizza place ever friday. I would also like to give them the medal for best garlic knots on the island. I have tried garlic knots from so many places just to be disappointed. They are always too dry, not enough garlic, or really just balls of dough. Spassos are perfection, absolutely covered in garlic just how I like it. The pizza is amazing also, my two favorites have to be the white slice and the penne ala vodka slice. A lot of topping with a sturdy crust so everything isnt dropping off as you're eating it. Happy to discover this outstanding place so close to home read more

We drive about 20 minutes just to come get pizza from here, as they are no longer in Wantagh. It's totally worth it. Best buffalo slice everrrr. They are not shy with the chicken on top. If you get it to go and plan on eating it later, ask for a little hot sauce and blue cheese or ranch on the side to dip some of the chicken in. You shall not regret it. Other awesome slices- penne alla vodka, chicken francese, sicilian. Theyre probably all bomb. I love the little pepperoni things they always have at the counter. Theyre always really nice, especially the guy usually working the counter/ovens and in a hat. I think he might be the owner, regardless always a warm welcome when you go inside. They only have tables outside so be prepared to take ya food home. read more

Used to be better, but something seems to have fallen off. I think they just got too big for their own good. Customer satisfaction is no longer a priority. The prices have gone way up, more than inflation. Their menu said "chicken parm hero $9" ordered 2, bill was $32. I called to inquire, and was told "that's the old menu". Ok, I get it prices went up, but ALMOST double? Sorry, currently searching for a new pizzeria read more
