I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! We heard that there had been some long lines recently and that the bread can sell out fast, so he went ahead of me to get in line before they opened, but he said there actually wasn't a line this time. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got two each of the regular and chili oil scallion breads. Once I got to the cafe, I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte. We sat on the bench outside to eat our bread and noticed that it tasted just a *little* like it had been sitting out for a while. I wouldn't describe it as stale, it just didn't have as soft a texture as we expected. However, it tasted absolutely delicious. I'd recommend getting both flavors if you can. The chili oil one wasn't spicy, in my opinion, it just had a kick of chili flavor. The banana pudding matcha latte was a little less successful. The pudding was great, but it just sat on top of the drink. When I mixed it into the matcha, it still wasn't coming through very strong and the drink tasted almost entirely of matcha. It was disappointing because I love banana so much. I think I'd be better off just ordering the banana pudding in the future. I'd like to come back here on a Saturday to see if the bread is a bit fresher, and I'd order the banana pudding rather than the latte.

Beating the summer heat with a plot twist! When the summer heat got a little too crazy, my friends and I knew only one thing could save us: Boba. A friend suggested this spot with a hilarious backstory--she actually stumbled upon it by accident the other day, thinking it was Dali Tea next door! We figured, why not give it a shot? First impressions: 10/10. The interior is gorgeous--super clean, modern, and minimalist. Their menu is massive, ranging from light, refreshing teas to decadent, creamy blended drinks. Naturally, we had to do a taste test and all ordered something different: Matcha Blended Tea with a mountain of whipped cream Lemon-Lime Infused Tea Mango Tea with clear tapioca pearls (my pick!) The verdict? The creamy matcha and the citrusy lemon-lime were absolute crowd-pleasers! Mine was... an adventure. Note to self: blended mango and tea is a wild combo. It had a unique flavor profile my tastebuds weren't quite ready for, but hey, it was boiling outside, so I happily drank every drop! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they whipped our drinks out at lightning speed. It's got such a great, lively vibe--full of students studying and people escaping the heat. If you're hanging out downtown, you absolutely have to stop by! read more

Beautiful new boba shop in downtown Hayward with modern and clean interior. You can either order on a kiosk or directly with a worker, which I like as a first time customer so that I can ask questions about the drinks and get recommendations.
