I want to say almost everything there cost $1.50 with a few exceptions. The purchasing line is a little long probably because they just opened and don't have enough workers. The employees are nice. Happy that Daiso is in Texas but I expected the store to be bigger... like Texas big. Oh well. I'm glad to say though that the crowds have died down so now i can shop in peace!! I just wish the aisles were bigger since it's hard to maneuver when the aisle space is only big enough for 1 person. It's new. It's Japanese. It's in DFW ......so that's cool. But it is mostly like many dollar stores I've been to. The quality of the products, are like that of the dollar store: cheap. If you need it, and you don't have much money, buy it, but don't expect it to last forever. Because it was opening weekend, it was hard to traverse through the aisles, and see everything. I will definitely be back on a weekday to take my time. The coolest things I saw: bento boxes, nori punches for decorating food, party supplies, art supplies, huge soup bowls for $1.50, promotional inflatable Pocky balloon when you buy 3 Pocky. I was disappointed when I looked at origin of the products I did buy, and saw all but the chocolate bar were made in China & Thailand for Daiso. I assumed everything was made in Japan. read more

I was so excited about this place, seen reviews on yelp and YouTube. For some reason I thought everything in the store was 1.50 but a lot of things were priced at $2, $3 and even higher. Store still had holiday decor out but was not discounted. Stock was low, but I assume it was because of the holiday rush. It was a Wednesday afternoon over Christmas Break so it was pretty busy. PLEASE be careful not to buy things for 1.50 that you can get at an American Dollar store for 1.00! There are good deals and different and unique things there and it is a good place, just have to look and know prices of things at other places Best finds of the day: Stationary and office supplies! Lots of cute post it flags and notes. Pencils, washi, huge paper clips, magnetic clips. Beauty section was disappointing. I love this store! It's as dangerous for my bank account as Target is -- my intention is to purchase a couple of items and I end up with a bagful! Many of my favorite finds are from the stationery section, but I find plenty throughout the store. Full of useless things you probably don't need but you kind of want also. I love going through their beauty aisle and stocking up on sheet masks, nail polish, etc. They also have tons of snacks and candy worth trying. Mugs and dishes are adorable and pretty good quality. I tried coming here for a broom but it's basically child size and I've also bought a USB cord to charge my phone in the car and it died in a week. Daiso is a store full of surprises ! They have the cutest Christmas decor now. Great gifts and knick knacks. Just stocked up on porcelain bowls and plates in time for thanksgiving. The prices for the porcelain bowls are $3.00 for large and $2.00 for small. Compared to Hmart across the street, same exact design and quality for $5.99 and $4.99! I need to go back and get some more! Awesome staff!! The staff packaged everything in boxes for me while I went to Kung Fu Tea in the center.... By the way.. Best Boba teas in the city! Daiso is a Japanese base store, and it has very cute things. I love their supplies and the store sells very diverse things. From flip flops to glassware! And everything is either $1.50 or $3.00. I used to go to Daiso regularly when I lived in Japan. This one isn't as great as the ones overseas, but it's still pretty authentic. I saw many items that were regularly sold in Japan - there were even items with incorrect English on them. The night I went their stock was low and it was pretty disappointing but I'd go back in hopes that this was just a one off. read more

I love going to this store it reminds of a Five Below or something similar but instead of name brands it's all in Japanese. The first time I went here I bought Christmas gifts and much needed phone charger; as well as a few items for work. My West Coast friends always rave about this cool Japanese discount store so I was happy to hear a branch opened in Dallas near my sister-in-law's place. Everything is $1.50 unless marked and there's a $10 minimum purchase to use a credit card. It's easy to spend $10 and took me a while to make my way through all the aisles. There's lots of cutesy products and it's a kid's dream to shop here especially for school supplies and craft stuff. They had tape that had pandas on it! Everything was well organized and the store itself was pretty clean. Lots of cheap useful household products and disposable dish ware (perfect for little kids) but sometimes hard to figure out if it's BPA-free or not. Also lots of Japanese snacks and some unique flavors for things we usually see at the Asian market. read more

I went with my family over their opening weekend. I'd been looking forward to the store for months, and I was not disappointed! It's a great taste of Japan here in Texas - if you're into cute Japanese gifts like Lucky Cats and origami paper, this stuff is for you. If you have a bunch of overseas media you need storage for, this place with its A4 and B5 storage options is for you too - I spent $8 on five A4 binders that I normally have to order from Japan, which runs me $40 for the same thing, just so my A4 magazine clippings don't get messed up! I am ECSTATIC that I don't have to spend so much on shipping for these!! If you like hearing Japanese music in Japanese stores, this place is for you too ("nando demo" by Dreams Come True was playing when I walked in, and I heard "Darling" by Nishino Kana as well during my visit)... just the music alone made me feel so at home and happy browsing around. It's not something that'll get much comment on yelp I'm sure, but I hope the management knows that it means a lot to me that I heard music I recognized! This place is also invaluable if you're into Japanese food - they have an extensive snack selection up front that includes the standards like Pocky and Hello Panda, but they also include some more obscure (and delicious!) items like strawberry Meltykiss cubes. Their kitchen items are varied and fantastic - if you want food storage, preparation, and presentation items like bento boxes and banana keepers and sushi molds, look no further. They have some lovely inexpensive dishes as well. As just a convenient local discount store, they're fantastic as well. You'd be hard pressed to find a better selection of little inexpensive storage options for your bathroom and kitchen. Baskets, baskets everywhere! Also the most adorable selection of trash bins I think I've ever seen. I highly recommend this for new dorm residents as well - deals like $1.50 for a small broom are ideal for a temporary, small-space living situation. And on top of it all, the service was fantastic. The line was REALLY long because it was opening weekend, but it moved so fast, I can hardly believe it. And yet the checkout folks found the time to be friendly and make you feel like you were the only customer there. I was greeted happily, had a short conversation, and was wished a great day. This time around, this Daiso disappointed in a big way. Walked into the store, and about 25% - 30% of the store was empty. Either refilling or changing it up. But very bad. I came in looking for specific items and they didn't have it. These were items that they carry year round too. I am a biased Daiso veteran. I used to live in Korea and when one lives in Korea, one indulges in going to Daiso on a weekly basis. Why? Because it's mother trucking Daiso... and the kitchen ware available in their East Asian stores is actually amazing. The store itself is very organized, although their layout makes absolutely no rhyme or reason to me. The variety at Daiso isn't as large as I anticipated but I'm still impressed by what products they've been able to showcase. The majority of the products here are $1.50 and the most expensive thing I saw was a $7 yoga mat. For the individuals that are looking for a legitimate no slip yoga mat, pass on this baby - not worth the $7. As usual, I have no idea what the Japanese instructions say on the back of the packaging so I defaulted to looking for items that didn't require me to try and decipher anything. I ended up with a microfiber hedgehog, a panda or bunny loofa, and a few other things that I had no reason to indulge in... This place is a money trap I tell you. You think you're only going to spend a few bucks and walk out spending significantly more. read more

I would say Daiso is equivalent to a Japanese version of a "higher quality" dollar store. It has a plethora amount of items such as kitchen supplies, snacks, stationary kits, cleaning supplies, glassware, jewelry, body care, etc. The list is endless. Most of the items range from $1.50 to $3.00. I got two boxes of 180 cotton pads for $1.50! I thought this was such an amazing deal and I was so pleased with this specific purchase. I also got a pack of oil blotting paper for $1.50! The store itself is well-lit with LED lights and quite spacious. The only downside is that it can get a little crowded moving from aisle to aisle with other people in the way. I would highly recommend just bringing a basket rather than a cart -- it's much easier to get from point A to point B. Caution: It's really easy to buy things you don't really need because everything is so cheap. read more

Pretty cool stuff for a dollar store! I think the best things I got from here are the kitty coin bank, musubi maker, and watering jug. Got them all for $1.50 each :) They have a huge collection of items so it could be a bit overwhelming trying to find something in particular. They have items, such as cosmetics, kitchen ware, gardening tools, etc. It's probably one of the fanciest dollar stores I've been to. I think my only complaints are the long lines and the minimum $10 card purchases. Other than that, it's definitely worth checking out, especially if you love cute little items. read more

This has some great finds for a very affordable price. I like how it is like a dollar store but is designed like a Walgreens. They have everything here except for fresh produce. I can't tell you how happy I am that we finally have a Daiso near us. It's not as big as the one I visited in SF but I can't complain. For those of you who have never been to a Daiso, it's essentially a Japanese dollar store and the quality of their products is pretty good. I come here to get cotton pads for my face because they don't shed like the ones I used to get from Walmart or Target. There's also a ton of other unique items for the kitchen, the office, and pretty much everything you need in life. The one thing I'm disappointed about is the fact that they don't really have any small glass lunch containers, but maybe they'll bring those in later. The store is very clean and organized and I will definitely be back to purchase more things from here. read more
