As someone coming from the Bay Area, where we have Daisos everywhere, I'd strongly recommend going here at least once. Extremely cheap by design (everything is under about $5), and while they don't have everything, you can find most basic home or office supplies here, among many other things. This has got to be the cutest most fun shop ever. Like probably ever. Cute cartoon kitties? They've got 'em. Animal laundry clips? Yes, those too. Pink, baby blue and yellow everything. Stop asking dumb questions - the answer is YES. This is a discount store, but it's also the cleanest, most precious and full of everything random, crazy and necessary stuff that you can imagine. So while I said no to the 10 different types of face masks and the assorted chair socks (check out the photo I uploaded), and I somehow resisted the selection of canvas bags for all the things and notebooks (oh gosh, the notebook selection!), I did come home with a good haul. How good? I picked up 2 medium sized travel compression bags (good for one sweatshirt or up to 6 tshirts), 2 large sized travel compression bags (good for two sweatshirts or up to 12 tshirts), 2 suit hanging storage bags, 2 dress hanging storage bags and 2 utility bags for carrying shoes (helpfully screen printed with "FOR SHOES"), plus a bottled green tea because I was thirsty after walking through the entire store looking at all the things. My bill? $16.56. BTW - receipts clearly state "no refunds, no exchanges" so shop accordingly. I'll be back. For sure. read more

It's a five for what it is. It's an Asian products dollar fifty store. It's one of those stores that you must come prepared with ideas of what you need, or you might not get anything. There is plenty of parking in front. The AC is cold in the store which is gladly welcomed during the summer. The lady running the checkout counter welcomes everyone as they enter and reminds them to close the door ;). It's cleaner than the dollar store, but somewhat disorganized. Or it may be that I just don't understand the layout. There must be at least a thousand little trinkets or as seen on TV type of gadgets in the store. I left the store spending $4.50 on three items. I have driven past Daiso quite a bit plus I normally grocery shop across the street. Today, I finally decided to stop by to see what type of "discount" store Daiso really was. I expected a bit more from Daiso or at least expected to walk out with something. Most items were $1.50 unless marked otherwise but were also items I could get at Dollar Tree for exactly a dollar. The only items that caught my attention were silicone baking pans, decorative tile stickers (I want backsplash so bad lol) & the various snack items (my tastebuds weren't ready just yet). I love Daiso! A store filled with little gems and knick knacks that you need, want or shouldn't buy buy still will because it is so darn cute and cheap! My boys love coming here and looking for fun projects to do. Their great selection on craft items (and sometimes better quality than the dollar store) makes it easy to let the kids just pick and chose for their projects! I also recommend their dishes! All the cute little bowls, plates and mugs survived several big moves across state and cities (and some of my "expensive brand named dishes" didn't even survive running through the dishwasher!) When I serve appetizers or snacks on these cute little dishes (ppl always ask me where I got them) and are shocked to find out that they are from Daiso. I FINALLY MADE IT HERE. YASSS. After the false alarm grand opening and regularly driving by to check on progress hoping to see signs of when it'll open - my baby finally opened. This location isn't really different, in terms of inventory from the Carrollton location, but it seems to have a better layout and fengshui; it also seems larger. As with the other locations, electronics, hardware, gardening, auto, home organization, beauty products, gifts - you name it, they probably have it. $1.50. If the product is a bit more complex, say a nonstick frying pan, you might see a tag or two for $3 or $5 (max that I saw). Also ALL kinds of things you never thought you would need, but find out you do after going. Socks for chairs, anyone? My only gripes about Daiso in general is that sometimes you get what you pay for. The stuff is IRRESTIBLY cute, but things can be fragile, kitchenware not always microwaveable (big one for me), and lots of goods made in China, not Japan like the name would imply (not an issue just confusing). I'm a big fan of Daiso!! I always make at least one trip to Daiso whenever I visit Japan, and I always come home with more than I set out for. It's just irresistible!! Good quality for a cheap price. They have almost anything you could ever imagine! The only con is that there is a price to pay for imported products. In Japan, almost everything in the store is 100 yen, which is about $1. In the states, everything is at least $1.50. Still not too bad, though, and I'll still happily pay the extra 50 cents for these products! Just be careful - there are no returns/refunds on these products. If there is a defect with the product, of course, they'll exchange it for you. I highly recommend a trip to Daiso for everyday things - face masks, Japanese snacks, bathroom/kitchen supplies, almost anything! read more

We have been back three times this month and there are still things we always get [when we lived by Carrollton] that this place doesn't have. I've been to the Daiso in Carrollton and I (and my girlfriend) love it. Whenever we drop by, we always stay and explore the cute items and the many items we didn't realize we needed in our lives. So hearing about the grand opening of this store, we had to come check it out! The store itself is great. They have signs above all the aisles that show the type of items the aisle contains which is a GREAT help (the Carrollton store doesn't have this). They have many of the same items as other stores, as well as some that the other stores don't have (or maybe just haven't re-stocked on). Brightly light, very clean (as expected from a brand new store), and service is solid as usual. There's not a lot to say about Daiso that hasn't already been said. $1.50 items (mostly) with some sprinkled in that are a few dollars but easy enough to recognize. Food items were the only thing I thought to be overpriced, but others were pretty well underpriced in my opinion. Quality of most products was much better than a typical Dollar Store. The biggest thing for me was that the store was very open to movement while still feeling like it was well stocked. It was also extremely hot the day we were there, and the A/C was doing a nice job. Those things made the visit very pleasant. My son had Daiso on his list of places to visit, so when we found ourselves a block away it was an easy decision to go and one that I am glad we made. Daiso is like the asian store fit if you've ever been to that store. It's also equivalent to a japanese dollar store. Everything in the store is 1.50 though but a couple of items will go above that. Selection: they have so much home goods, japanese foods, and just random things. The random things were things like they had fake artificial grass, halloween deco, and they also had felt which was weird. The most popular things they had were bentos, stationary, mason jars, kitchen supplies, umbrellas, and also japanese accessories. What i bought: we got 2 large mason jars for 1.50 each (michael sells them for 3 dollars each for that size), an umbrella for 4 dollars (really sturdy, white, and much cheaper than the crappy 20 dollar ones at gas stations or walmart), a cat toy for 1.50 (they love it), cute sticky notes for 1.50 and a pair of good scissors for 1.50. Overall, i think everything was a steal and if you shop smart you can save so much money at daiso. For an example slippers were for 2 dollars here but a tiny note pad here was 1.50. So nothing is below 1.50 in the store and I'm sure you can get a pack of notepads for really cheap elsewhere. read more

THIS PLACE IS CLEAN. Well lit shelves. Floors are polished and possibly waxed on a regular basis. All merchandise are NEAT AND ORDERLY. I love Daiso. This place to me is like Target to most people: I come in for one thing but I come out with too many things... Since I moved here, I bought so many useful stuff for my house as well as for the office: storage boxes and folders, glass tupperware, notepads, dog toys, chair socks, dustpans, etc etc. You can also find some weird stuff like face massagers and inflatable boob toys. Best of all, almost everything is $1.50! (unless noted with a sticker). This store is pretty clean and organized. Ah, Daiso... the Asian/Japanese dollar store. I find all kinds of cute things here! An for affordable prices! I usually find cute dishes where I can store my rings and jewelry and things like that (of if you're a lifestyle/beauty blogger like me... it's a great place to find flat lay props for cheap). But they also have a wide selection of beauty products, snacks, household items and various other things. I ended up getting two face masks from here, a cute glittery topcoat nail polish, a dish to put by my sink for my rings and hair ties and some snacks. I'm glad they added face masks! Those things can get pretty expensive. I haven't tried mine out yet but I'm going to soon! read more

I LOVE Daiso and was so thrilled when they opened in Dallas. For a while everything went ok. For the last year, Daiso has failed to replenish inventory. The store is always out of stock on 75% of the merchandise. This has been going on at this location since it opened. Last week I went to the store on Market St in Downtown San Francisco and they were bursting at the seams with inventory. I bought all the items I had been looking for for over a year in Dallas. The workers literally had no where to store inventory, there was so much. It was stacked in the aisles as they tried to cram everything on shelves. This made it very clear that the problems with Daiso in Texas is transport/warehousing. This store would be 10x more profitable if they could get stock. Figure it out, Daiso! read more
