I am so happy to learn that this place finally opened, and as I drove by my fav thai place in the strip mall around here I finally saw the balloons around the main entrance and saw tons of cars parked there! Upon the excited entrance of Daiso, I saw tons and tons of cute Japanese knick knacks. I personally got my hands on mini cookie cutters, cute designed masking tapes, dough scrapers, and regular tapes. The best part was that these were all $1.50, although other items can be more depending on the complexity of the item. There were tons of kawaii lucky cat charms that were very alluring, as well as some cool halloween decoration stuff they had on the front. -if you want any cute and cheap Japanese stuff ranging from household/kitchen/decor to food this is your friend, visit often! -the sales are FINAL, so make sure what you want to purchase is what you really want. -they have multiple casher's stands, so you can get checked out pretty fast. -the store is pretty big and it carries lots of small knick knacks, so make sure you grab a basket in the store front and go get your stuff! -the store can get pretty crowded at times so be aware if you bring children so they don't get lost Anyhow, I am super excited this place opened up after waiting many months of seeing the constructions... Lots of goodies, snacks and nick nacks! Beware all sales are final and there's no returns. I bought over $75 worth of cute things and loved it. The snack section is robust with items that are hard to find unless you're at an Asian store and they sell in smaller quantity hence the small price tag. It's basically the Japanese version of a dollar store but most items are $1.50 (some bigger items cost a little more but they're clearly marked at a higher price point like $3). The major difference between me coming here and the Dollar Tree is that the store is a lot cleaner and brighter. Love the variety of school supply items for my kiddos. read more

The cutest dollar store EVER!! there's tons of travel containers or cute dishware. Depending on the holiday, there's themed items as well and it starts from 1.50 to more. I bought a key ring, long socks, some snacks, and a bag from here. There's long lines sometimes but it should be quick. Also parking is a pain bc they closed off half of ranch 99 parking. There's always ppl on the weekend so I suggest not coming here on the weekends. Ranch 99 gets crazy so for your sanity, take my advice! read more

Came here for the Grand Opening. They were still kind of doing construction, but in the street and not in the store. The store associates are very kind and helpful. The store is nice and organized, and there is a huge selection of items that I want but don't need :( I plan to come here again in the future! It's like a Japanese dollar store.. This is an update, it's been almost a year since I fell in the ramp. I learned the owner added the ramp after inspection. The city can not make them add a railing. I was in so much pain afterwards and learned I have a torn meniscus on my leg due to it and a aggravated rotor cuff. I go to therapy for it, did not contact owner in beginning because I figured I would be better, not so. Please be careful when walking there. read more

The best way I can describe Daiso is like a Japanese version of The Dollar Tree, and I mean that in the best way. Rows of different Japanese candies, snacks, and drinks that will pollute your Christmas stockings for years to come. And do you want multiple sized good fortune kitties? Look no further thank Daiso. Because they got that shit on lockdown. The large number of Japanese-Americans and weeaboos alike shopping here let you know that you're in the right place for sheer authenticity. This is a smaller space than the one in Carrollton, TX. It was not as well-stocked with many items missing from the hooks and shelves. It's a rather odd collection of things that added no flair of uniqueness that makes it Daiso Japan. The line was long with only 1 person at the checkout on a weekday afternoon. Be warn that traffic gets crazy during the weekend since it shares the parking lot with Ranch 99 Asian grocery store and 85 degrees Bakery. They do not allow food or drinks while walking around in the store. There's a rack for food and drink to be placed while you shop. One point of irritation was the fact that the staff did not ask you directly to drop off your food and drink but repeatedly blasted the message over the intercom. read more

If you have never been to Daiso it's kind of like a dollar store but 1.50 instead with much cooler designs. Apparently most of the stuff here was designed in Japan. So you'll find lots of little quirky things that you'd never know someone would think of and you think to yourself is this necessary? I'd like to try it anyway. I wouldn't say it's the best quality stuff but hey it's cheap and it looks cool. FYI, stuff here may be designed in Japan but it's all made in China. It's also good to come here for the snacks. Really awesome! I drive by this place everyday to and from work, but I assumed it was just a sushi place. It's really clean and well organized, and there's a good assortment of items. It's a little hard to identify those things that you don't know what they are, because of having to search the label for the English, but I understand. There are lots of sweets, and I had to work hard to limit myself to just one. Also, I love the shelves being lit! I'll definitely be back. read more

i had an bad experience with a cashier she was white and i told her that i was paying with cash and she got mad. and dumped everything on the table and said to go a different cashier with attitude, and all the people were looking at me and her and i have anxiety problems so that made my day really sad. and also told her before the mess that i was paying cash in quiet voice (i have social anxiety and also because my mom was forcing me to speak with her) but still she doesn't have to have attitude! you have to speak nice with customers even tho if they're having a bad attitude., cause yk people are nice but sometimes they're had bad days too so be nice people read more

My favorite Japanese "dollar store" finally opened a branch in Plano. Don't let the words "dollar store" (or technically $1.50 store) fool you; like most things from Japan, items sold here tend to be high quality with cute packaging. Not everything in the store is a dollar, but you can find just about any kind of household product here for a decent price. Example: I spotted a set of dinner plates at Daiso for only a few dollars that were nearly identical to ones that Macy's had previously charged me $12-15 a piece. They even carry beauty products, clothes (though a limited selection), and Asian snacks. Who needs Target when you have Daiso? read more

Great store! The dollar tree was my go to store for certain things like craft items and party supplies, but since Diaso opened in Carrollton-- went there like every weekend. Was excited and couldn't wait for the Plano store opening since it's a lot closer. I go there like all the time-- i don't recommend buying the food or snacks there since it's a lot cheaper at 99ranch at the other end of the parking lot. read more

Steel scrubbers, ivory chopsticks, 2 prong dusters (to get in between those tight spaces on my wrought iron bedstead) , spray bottles,( water filled) keeps puppie or cats from getting into things.Price s start @ $1.50. Used to be great to pick up convenient knick-knacks with great design and acceptable quality. Not any more. For the past 2 times I visited this location more than half the shelves were barely stocked. A lot of empty spaces. Some great things were no longer in stock, and what was left was of dubious construction. Can't seem to find what I wanted so left after a few minutes. I love Daiso. Whenever I came up to Dallas during school breaks, I would go to the one in Carrollton. I'm happy there is one in Plano now. I went there for the first time tonight. A lot of the stuff in this store is the same as the Carrollton one, but I felt like this one had even more stuff. I also like the layout of this store a bit better. Most things are $1.50 but there are some items that are $2, $3, $15, etc. My mom and I got 2 flower pots, hair accessories, 3 pairs of fuzzy socks, Christmas decorations, nail art, and probably some other things for about $25. Lots of cute stuff, and as my mom said, "the price makes it even cuter." read more
