We bought a bunch of tea cups, 4 bowls, and cool gadgets. They wrapped our cups and bowls up carefully with newspaper. Welp, if you need cutesy stuff for about $1.50, this is the only place you should be. I've never seen anything quite like it, but we were so entertained for the entire hour we spent there checking everything out. Their kitchen section is pretty amazing, full of basics, and probably a few items you e never seen before. The level of detail and amount of supplies to make those cute bento boxes for your kid's lunch is staggering, but it's fun to look at and maybe make fun of. Need storage? Any size plastic bin created in the world is probably there, taking up an entire wall of this large store. In the toy section I found both an inflatable penis and boobs - I almost bought them but was distracted by all the flip-flops (house shoes?) and household stuff like laundry items. If you're a beauty product junkie, you'll have so much to look at, like eye tape. The packaging on everything doesn't include much English, so half the fun is figuring out what it is and how to use it. I'm going back for the candy, though. This is a cute store that I can find products such as sandals and chopsticks at a low price. There is a wide selection of various items, and the store is laid out by need (lifestyle, travel, food etc.). And the pricing of everything is super reasonable! As for the negatives...it is hot. Like very hot. They keep the front door propped open at all times, even when I was here today and it was 102 degrees out. Also, they kind of treat everyone like a potential criminal with very watchful employees and rules such as having to leave water bottles at the front of the store. No thank you! Besides matcha they have other cool and super cute knick knacks. Really nothing you need, but cool to have. I bought an awesome bento box for only $2! Heck yeah! One of the cutest shops that sell japanese items. I loved walking around and just browsing at all the items they had. Items from dishes to laundry baskets to stationary. I really loved walking around and looking at items and the best part of the store, are the price tags. Most items were priced as marked but if there wasnt a price listed, then its $1.50. It gets pretty packed here on the weekends so be prepared for the crowds and tough parking. The one downfall I do have about this place, is the fact they do not turn on the ac in the store. As crowded as it gets and how hot it is outside, they do not turn on the ac and it just becomes a hot box and that is not a good odor you want to smell when you first walk in. First impressions are alot and I was ready to turn around and walk out when I first came in but decided to stay and check it out. But it was super hot and rank of the odors. They don't take $100 bill. My bill was $97.82 and they said they are not allowed to accept a $100 bill. I get that you can get fakes but there are machines and pens that detect counterfeit. I was giving them Legal Tender that is accepted in the USA. Kind of ridiculous per se. Shouldn't say no if you have change. read more

It's nice to have a Japanese dollar store (most items are $1.50 and up) in Carrollton! They rotate their merchandise quite a bit, and the check-out line can be really long at times. If your total is less than $10, it's probably best to pay cash. Try their Japanese snacks! Delicious- maybe I'm biased since I grew up eating them in Japan. Daiso's items are very reasonably priced, and they always have really cute items that are hard to resist. Impulse buy kicks in pretty hard here. My friends and I were walking around and stumbled on this store. We didn't know what to think of his place at first but we went in. I found a lot of useful items for around the house for $1.5, anything from little notebooks to kitchenware. In addition they had mugs, plates, saucers, you name it they probably had it. I found a lot of Japanese items so that was awesome to be able to purchase even though we were in Texas. Daiso is in a small plaza with a 99 market, Japanese restaurants and a bubble tea place! It really fit the area! I went to Daiso recently and bought cute little hair accessories! The place is really organized between beauty/hair, hygiene, home goods, school supplies, etc. I recommend if you like buying cuter goods! When I checked out the line was pretty long and it spanned through the Japanese candy and snack line. Although I went near closing I expected the line to take a while to get through but the employees were very fast and helpful when checking out. Great place if you need something quick! Everything have a nice, cheap price! ITEMS (3.5 Stars) : Some of the things they sell are really nice, some are not. The kitchen utensils like the measuring cups are amazing. We got a hand strainer for just $1.50! The makeup things are really cheap though. Just know that when you come here, you won't get the highest quality of things. The school supply are the best except the mechanical pencils. Most if the pencils use .5 lead and it breaks very easily. The store has great items if you are in need of them quick. SERVICE (4.5 Stars) : Usually there's only one person working cashier so the line takes awhile but it really matters how busy it is. They're kind and not rude in any way. But there probably needs to be more people working as cashiers. LOCATION/BUILDING (5 Stars) : I love this center because there are so many different places you can go to. The thing is, on busy days, it's quite hard to find parking. The inside of the building is really nice. The organization of the items are nice. I love Daiso Japan! They have everything from cute pencils to kitchenware, bras to makeup, and office supplies to food! They have everything I can think of and the best part is -- most of it is $1.50! The most expensive item I found was $4.00. What a bargain. Most of the items they carry are Japanese brands. I bought a ton of junk food (ramen, Asian chips, etc), some slippers and a bra. The junk food: Very flavorful, delicious and convenient. Slippers: So so comfortable and high quality! Bra: Also very comfortable and well made. I am extremely satisfied with my purchases. I have to say that the quality is stellar, despite the inexpensive pricing. I've never been to Daiso before, so when my friend told me they have one in Dallas, I immediately asked if we could go. Despite there being ample parking, it was still difficult to find parking, maybe because it was a weekend? The store looked small, and had many cute things, especially Halloween decor with prices that ranged from $1.50-$4.00. While there were some cute things like stationary and house hold supplies, many of the shelves were empty, it looked as if they had a huge sale and people just jumped on that shit. They're all reasonably priced. I always get my pocky here since there's a variety of flavors and they're all $1.75 which is still cheaper than most places. Probably one of my favourite stores because everything is so relatively cheap here and the quality is great. (We don't have anything like this in Canada so I was quite ecstatic when I first came here). I usually come here to stock up on the cookies n' cream pocky and I tend to find myself buying a lot of miscellaneous items such as: fuzzy socks, a cute miniature piggy bank, eye lash glue (it's great, I need to grab more of that!), christmas ornaments (so very cutesy and adorable), and so forth. This place is a lot of fun. Great for small gifts and curios. Lots of cute items you won't find elsewhere. They also have seasonal decor and knick-knacks near the front. I had originally gone to an American dollar store in search of a cheap plastic bucket with a lid, but came away empty-handed. I found exactly what I was looking for here, along with a number of other kitchen and household items I needed. I think Daiso's items are generally much better than what you would see in a typical dollar store, and you will find things here that you wouldn't find anywhere else.
