I gave them my name and they went inside to get the 5 pieces of chicken and large Mountain Dew I'd ordered. It was around $22 plus a tip which in this economy isn't half bad! The chicken is plenty moist and thick, the batter lends its own flavor and texture, and once you add a little salt to the chicken it's a wonderful case of beauty in simplicity! I also love how you can choose all white cutlets, all dark cutlets, or a mix of the two (I always pick this option.) Even though I love the thigh strips, I do feel the need to break them up with the breast meat, it would be too much otherwise. Their house made tartar is top of the line as well! But generally, the quality has digressed over time. Today was noteworthy-- the Chicken Chili Soup I ordered today amounted to chicken broth only with black beans and corn. There wasn't any chicken and the container was only half full. It was as if they forgot to include some of the ingredients. And the Chicken Soft Tacos lacked spice. With the advent of so many more new Mexican restaurants here in Wenatchee, Taco Time needs to stay in the race. Worst customer service on the planet. Incredibly SLOW service. Poor food preparation. I have had several crappy experiences at this restaurant but my most recent one outdoes them all. They have a very rude, snotty little girl working the window (she claims to be a manager but her co-worker said she was not, she was just a supervisor). I ordered a 4 piece chicken basket and asked that the gravy be filled all the way (this location often only fills it a tiny bit). She said sorry we can't do that. Our policy is to serve half-filled gravy. If you want more you'll have to pay. 65 cents later she tried to give me another half filled gravy and when I said no I'm paying for this one, you can please fill it all the way, she rolled her eyes and shoved it out at me when she filled it more. I've never had an issue when I request the gravy be filled in the past. It just has to be requested or they will fill it a tiny bit. But I've never been charged for extra or treated this way previously. I called in and asked to speak with a manager when I got home. This same snotty girl answered the phone and told me she was the manager and there was nobody above her. I know it was her because she has a very high pitched voice. She also told me she can't give me her name, or the owner/general manager's name, and there is no way for me to get in touch with the manager. I said fine I guess I will just have to complain to corporate. She then told me they are not a corporate owned store and are not associated with Dairy Queen. I was able to finally speak with another person by calling back several more times, and he gave me his name and the owner's name, and told me to contact the owner the next morning at the store. I called in again the next day and unfortunately didn't get the call in early enough and got this snotty girl again. I asked to speak with Rich (the name I got from the boy the night before) She demanded that I tell her what the call was about, asked me how I know Rich, and then told me that Rich doesn't interact with customers. Again, she refused to give me her name. Reading previous reviews, I imagine this location isn't going to make it, and I really hope it goes under new management SOON or at least they hire respectable, less ghetto workers. I like Dairy Queen's food...but I will not be giving this location my business again. read more

This dairy queen is a joke and how they stay in business is a joke. Heard the owner is rude as hell and treats employees and people like crap. Teenagers work here so dont be shocked if they dont seem to care which they really dont. So find maybe better employees because they have attitudes. Food looks like it came from my middle school cafeteria but you pay the price like you live in Seattle. Being from south carolina the most redneck counties have a better dairy queen. Place looks like a dump also. Would rather spend my money at a waffle house with my cook smoking a cigarette and holding the door open as i walk in. (God I miss waffle house) read more

Simply the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. The girl on the intercom answers my order with a loud "What?" I repeat the order slowly and carefully and she responds with the same scream "What?" Either she cannot hear, there is a problem with the intercom, or she is simply rude. This is the fourth consecutive time I have visited this place and I have encountered this loud mouth inconsiderate person every time. She should be fired on the spot. I won't be coming back. read more
