This was my first time at El Rinconsito ("the Corner hangout "). I was impressed with the interior, very clean and organized. I ordered Huevos Rancheros which came with a generous portion of rice and refried beans, and sour cream! But what really surprised and pleased me was the fresh tortilla station right at the front counter. My meal came with hot corn tortillas made right in front of me. Served with a portion of butter, they were absolutely delicious! AND! The order comes with three eggs, not two. See the pics and tell me that wasn't worth $11.50 out the door?!?! I'll be back often. The two servers were really great. I was on crutches and they opened the door for me, entering and leaving! Looking back, it really was a 5-star experience. The food was good. The carne asada burrito I got set the standard for what I want in a burrito, and the pineapple water I got was very good. I only got yelp because I wanted to get the same type of burrito at another Mexican restaurant but it did not compare to their burrito so I was mad lol sooo I think they deserve recognition for doing an excellent job. read more

The food is great. The service is abysmal. This is a management issue in my opinion. Completely disorganized. It isn't that the servers or cooks are terrible. They are just mismanaged. That said, they will forget your ceballito and your pepper almost every time so be sure to check your order and demand it if you want it. Your online order will not get made until you walk in and ask for it. If you call instead of order online it is hit or miss. It's a tragedy because this place could be so much more if the owner actually tried. That said, the food is great. read more

Found this little gem after realizing a lot of the local restaraunts were already closed. So shout out for later hours. In a college town, you think there would be more places open late. Anyway, back the meat of this review. I ordered a plate of mini tacos because you got four and a drink for a great price. Two adovada and two carne asada. DELICIOUS! They came out on little corn tortillas, sprinkled with cilantro, onions and a little sauce. Sal got a chicken gordita that had such a great crunch, that I stole a couple bites from him. The meal was delivered quickly and we dined in. The establishment is clean and seems to be steadily busy. So that's a good sign! Check out the specials when you go! read more

This restaurant has many options to choose from. I ordered the regular chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The enchilada sauce was creamy and smooth. The rice and beans were tasty as well. The portions were pretty big since it came with 3 enchiladas. I did not finish my food and I typically have a big appetite. I also ordered a beef taco that which was pretty good as well. However, the meat was a little on the dry side. There was a wonderful taco bar where you could spice your taco up with seasonings, salsas and other toppings!! The good: Nice staff, large portions, good selection of fancy juice drinks, relatively easy to access. Classic Mexican fare. Hours are also very extensive, which is nice. The bad: their menu is confusing and their horchata is not good. The parking lot is also insanely small. It was fine, but I'm not sure I would eat here again. I wandered into Wenatchee for a weekend soccer tournament. I wanted an authentic style breakfast burrito in the go and discovered this gem opens early on sat-sun 0800. Don't be misled but the clichy counter that reminds me of a 1980's Taco Bell in Pasadena. This joint is great. They won me over with the the vieja making fresh tortillas off to the right side of the cashier. I tried the menudo which came loaded with the essentials of gobs of diced chilies, onions, Mexican oregano and limes. The trip was clean and not gamey like some versions. The broth is mild, and could use a boost in stock and chilies flavor but the fresh additions help out. The menu doesn't have breakfast burritos listed but they offer chorizo, bacon & sausage burritos and they are just as delicious. I'll be back to try the chili verde before I leave and try the horchata. read more

I don't know what he meant by that, but it just randomly came to mind. Now then, I'm a flatulent type of guy, so a baby friendly restaurant is a bonus. That's flatulent amigos, not to be confused with flamboyant. If the need arises, I can blame baby and continue seeing smiles on employee faces. Anyhow, the menu pricing is in both pesos and dollars which could generate confusion. If you can choose between the two, take advantage of it. At today's exchange rate of 0.057 US dollar, go the peso route. Otherwise, the $8 special of eight tacos with two drinks is well worth the visit. read more

Stopped in to get some lunch and we were sorely disappointed. The cashiers seemed clueless on how to do an order or operate their terminals. After a while our cashier told us she didn't have change to break a 20. Seriously? She made us wait a long time for the other cashier to open her register and even then she shorted us on the change and asked us if it would be OK... unbelievable. We used cash because we saw the previous reviews about this place stealing credit cards. I guess they get you either way. On top of that they got my order wrong. I ordered chicken instead of beef. They gave me beef. The food was way too spicy. At the end I chalked the pricey lunch loss up to a learning experience and left. I will never be back. read more

I have ordered at 5 o clock for pickup at 6 and it still wasn't ready. I've ordered and was told it would take a half hour, then waited in the restaurant for 30 minutes. Totally fell in love with this place while staying in Wenatchee for work. GREAT prices if you stick to tacos, not bad prices if you delve into their other selections. Their burritos are about the size of my forearm which is pretty awesome when you want to grab some to-go food and want to absolutely stuff your face. REALLY flavorful pollo and asada. Pretty decent salsa bar when it's actually stocked which can be a bit hit or miss sometimes. Agua fresca is absolutely delicious here! Always friendly staff and pretty quick service. I've gotten my food in pretty good time even when the place is absolutely SLAMMED. Open pretty late, until 3am on some nights and I think like midnight on most nights, which is cool since I work for the railroad and get in pretty late sometimes. read more
