Oh how I miss having a full service Dairy Queen with ACTUAL FOOD and not the small kiosk limited versions we usually have at the mall or NEX in Hawaii. This was such a treat for me. You don't know what you have out there until you don't have it anymore lol. The service here was amazing even their newest employee was sweet and very professional! She served us with grace, kindness, and respect. She did so well with her level of service that we couldn't even tell she was new! I do hope she continues to grow and learns more good habits for customer service and maintains this level of professionalism in all her future endeavors! The food was also so delicious (some may think "omg she's exaggerating" but if you don't get to eat this kind of food all the time it's extra tasty and you appreciate it more). And of course we couldn't go without having blizzards and dipped cones! Now I see why they have a rating of 1.8. Paid 10$ for a mini blizzard with double the fillings and got a cup of ice cream. Hardly any filling ..forget the extra $ I paid for double. I love this Dairy Queen. My husband and I have been here multiple times this past year as I am receiving treatment for breast cancer across the street. The service here is top notch. I've noticed on several occasions the employees helping each other and working well together. Today, we had a mobile order. Every was perfect and freshly made. The tables and floors are always nice and clean. It's a great little restaurant with fast and friendly service. The food is good, too, and competitively priced. In the Dairy Queen drive-thru I asked if they could make a root beer shake. It wasn't on the menu board. The counter person asked her manager who immediately came to the microphone and said, "yes, we can...what size?" When I got to the window moments later, the ice cold shake was served with a steaming hot "Original Cheeseburger". Both items were obviously made to order in that 3-4 minute interval. I was really impressed. The burger was delicious and the bun was moist and hot along with the rest of the burger. All the cheese was fully melted and the onion, tomato and pickle chips were all crisp. (See pics) What's to review--the whole experience of food quality, affordability, efficiency and attitude of their servers--it was all 5-Stars at 9:00PM to boot. We need to remember that the long-term fast-food restaurants are still around for a reason--they have perfected their performance over years and years. We often forget about them (I did) because they don't bombard us with hype, advertising and up-selling. But they offer solid value in a plain and simple format. read more

Worst customer service ever! Got my order wrong and it was so sour I couldn't even drink it, tried going back in to tell them expecting them to just remake it for me, but the girl tried gas lighting me by claiming it was the flavor I ordered she made it herself, it wasn't, I then told her about it being so sour it was undrinkable, she told me that's the way they are. Nope, that's a lie too, and if they were supposed to be sour why wouldn't it advertise that? Some people don't like sour, I don't because it curdles on my tongue. So refusing to just remake a float that was only $2.50( only about 25 cents worth of product for them )and make a paying customer happy she wanted to be right, I threw it straight in the garbage and walked out. I called to talk to a manager later, the guy who answered the phone also gave me attitude and then when I finally got to talk to the manager he was the biggest perk of all. He told me he couldn't fix a mistake everytime a person complained or he'd be losing money, so he admitted that he doesn't care whether they are at fault or not he's not going to fix it. Also it tells me they make a lot of mistakes. He was so focused on being right and about losing money, that he forgot a happy customer will return, tell their friends about it, more business, more money. An angry customer will never return, they will also tell their friends how awful you are, he lost a lot of money he would've made in the future by refusing to just fix the mistake, doesn't matter whether I was right or not, the customer is supposed to always be right. I was going to come back later and get more stuff for my family the same day, now I will never set foot in this dirty, despicable restaurant again. My family won't either and I'm telling all my friends plus posting about it on Facebook. Turns out these rude employees are the owners children, makes sense. I tried being friendly when I ordered also tried having a little conversation, couldn't even get a smile from the cashier. This is not the first time I've had problems with this Dairy Queen either, it's just the one I won't forgive. Teach your kids some respect and customer service. Don't go here read more

So I have always thought DQ food was pretty good and still do but went thru the drive through the other day to get a small peppermint blizzard and a medium peppermint blizzard (delicious). But I had to repeat my order 4 times which I thought was funny but when we got our blizzards they only tipped one over so when I asked how I get my free the lady got the supervisor or manager who told me they only have to flip one. I thought that might be true so I drove off but later I checked the DQ policy turned upside down and here is what it said "pledged to serve every Blizzard bottom up. And that's not all. If a customer receives a Blizzard served the normal way, they're rewarded by getting their next one free" so don't believe them when they say it. Next time I go I will remind them read more

First Day of Spring Free Ice Cream Cone DAY!!! Too bad they didn't think about getting cones for this special they had. So it was a NO free ice cream cones on the first day of spring special. So we went to Costco for Ice Cream bought 6 for the price of 2 @ DQ. This DQ has been an awful and disgusting place for MANY years. You'll apparently, often hear the boss/manager guy, harshly yelling at his employees. It's a statement about the lack of competition that this business hasn't gone toes-up. Everything inside is dirty. Even though they seem willing and pleasant, the staff is so short-handed that it takes forever to get served and then the order is often incorrect. On July 14th I waited 20 minutes to get one milkshake. On July 29th I waited 10 minutes before I got angry and drove to Denny's for a milkshake. read more

An absolutely foul DQ, dirty, terrible customer service, and out of almost everything when you try to order it!! I got a soft cone and waited at the window for almost 4 minutes. I should have just kept my eyes closed because while waiting I saw a girl drop a hand towel on the greasy, dirty, floor and picks it up, then used it to wipe the surface of a counter, then went to make a blizzard WITHOUT washing her hands. My first job at 16 was at my local Dairy Queen. I've been happily served for many years until this summer. Wenatchee gets blazing hot in the summer with multiple weeks over 100 degrees. My partner and I went through the drive thru with our two dogs. I was very disappointed to find out they no longer serve pup cups. For those who don't know, they are little condiment containers filled with vanilla soft serve. They are a delicious small treat for a dog on a hot day. They price is usually about 50 cents to a dollar. They recommended we buy them plain sundaes instead to the tune of $3.59. That will happen exactly once! There is better ice cream out there that will give even just whipped cream as a pup cup. read more

I generally don't do reviews, but this place is appalling. Here is the story: 103 degrees outside. Went in for a chocolate ice cream cone for the first time in several years. The place was absolutely filthy and the air conditioning in the building was barely functional. The poor staff people were sweaty, greasy and frazzled. Their uniforms were a splatteredI asked for a chocolate cone and was told by the young lady, "we don't have chocolate ice cream any more. The machine broke before I was hired." I then proceeded to order a hot fudge Sunday. I could not eat the hot fudge as it was bitter (burnt?) and grainy like sand! I really think the health department needs to do a surprise visit. Addendum- Regarding comment from Dairy Queen of Dairy Queen on their pride in customer service- you obviously have not been in this store in the past several years. This is the worst DQ I have ever been in! Absolutely the filthiest. No chocolate ice cream? Ridiculous! During this Corona Virus Pandemic, this would be a good time to retrain your employees on how to do their jobs and learn good customer service. But most of all, you need to deep clean this store from top to bottom. A good, hot water, disinfecting cleaning. I have tried 3-4 times to come in and hope and pray things would be better but no go! Counter folks are always very friendly but looking inside you have to question the cleanliness of the place. Counters are often dirty, floors pretty gnarly, etc. The ice cream is consistently good and the other dairy products I've had have always been properly made. I have to say, they are pretty pricey here compared to other DQ's..... Going through the drive in is okay, getting to the drive through not so much. I'm sure this was beyond their control when they built the place but the fact that you often end up sitting right next to the neighbors open dumpster which is really, really nasty (or maybe it's theirs, I dunno) while waiting in line is less than appetizing. Went to the drive thru and sat behind someone who did not know the speaker wasn't working because there was no sign on it. She finally drove up to the window. Then we got to the speaker and waited to see if someone would say anything. No one said anything and so we drove up. Got to the window and the girl said they were understaffed and could only make ice cream. I tried to order a berry cupfection but she said they didn't have the cake. So I looked at my wife and she said okay let's leave and I drove down to Sonic. It seems at that point there were three employees doing nothing. My husband and I pull up and there was an elderly lady at the drive through and a DQ staff taking a trash bag out. The staff saw three cars in the drive through yet went inside. The woman sat there for another 15 minutes yelling hello before finally driving around. We took the hint and followed her. There were three employees standing at the window and then one in the background. The girl closest to the window told us they were short staffed, someone was making a sign for the speaker and they could only do ice cream. My husband said that was fine and started telling her our ice cream order. The girl then said they also couldn't make the ice cream order we had requested. Avoid this establishment if at all possible. The guy at the register told me that there was no such thing as a MooLatte. When one of the girls set him straight, he had no idea how to even make one. There was caramel slopped all over the top of the lid, and on all sides of the cup. I told him that my hands shouldn't stick to the cup when I pick it up. He told me to just grab a napkin. I ordered a large, and received a medium. Even though I pointed this out, nothing was done about it. When my order was handed to me, the guy also asked if it looked like it was made like it is suppose to be. Even after I already said that the size was not correct. My kids order of two blizzards were only mixed on the top 1/3 of the cup. The rest was just ice cream. We went towards closing around 9:30 pm and there were no other customers at the counter, but our order still took almost a half hour to complete. Went here for lunch yesterday and was NOT satisfied. I mean food was food but my chicken tasted like it was cooked two hours before my arrival. Same with the french fries .-. My ONE thing I look at when I go somewhere with french fries is making sure they are always fresh, they weren't. They tasted a day old just heated up, thats how bad hey were. And to top it off saw the lady whom prepared my food, go to the bathroom and not wash her hands. (Even if you don't use the bathroom I believe you should still ALWAYS wash your hands).
