Ate at Fire for lunch and then went to Ice for gelato. We ordered a cup of pistachio, a cup of chocolate and a cup of lemon creme flavor, all of which were yummy and devoured by my two toddlers and my husband. It was not busy during our visit, so we got our orders fairly quickly, which is a plus! They have tables available for eating, however, we noticed that the tables in front had reserved signs so not sure what they were for exactly since it was not busy. It was not a big deal at all since there were open tables on the side. If we had the chance to come back, we would visit again and try the other options on their menu as gelato isn't the only dessert they serve. read more

Wondering through the Pybus market we came across this place. Seeing the cool flavors we could not resist to try some. Ample of sitting space. They do provide samples to try. We had their:- Tiramisu- Mild flavor of tiramisu but oh so creamy. Hazelnut chocolate- Good flavor of Nutella, and creamy. Just yummy. Do try if you are a Nutella & chocolate flavor fan. Strawberry Nutella crepe- I did ask to add extra Nutella, but emm did not get that. I just do not like it when caramel syrup is added in name of Nutella. Stick with the ice cream instead of the sweet crepes. The ice cream is made using quality products which you can say when tasting the item. read more

Tasted the peach gelato and it wasn't good. Too sweet - more sugary than peachy. While the lemon was on the sour side - obviously - it went very well with the mixed berry - a great combo. Great service - greeted upon arrival to the front of the line and checked out quickly. read more

My wife an I stoped by to try the famous gelato and the Nutella Crepe. She fell in love with the crepe despite having a bit too much whip cream but that's not an issue. Just not her preference. In the other hand I thought the gelato was good but not great. It could use more of a natural taste than artificial. (I don't know how it's made, just assuming it's made artificially) It could use some natural fruit, compared to other gelatos I've had. Girl helping us was attentive and talkative. This place is located inside the Pybus Market and offers decent gelato at reasonable prices. I tried the coffee and lemoncello flavors, and both were very good, not too sweet and not too heavy. In Little Wenatchee, I think that Ice is currently the only option for gelato in the area. I haven't seen or been to any other gelato specialty shops around here. There's a few froyo and ice cream places, but no other gelato places as of now. Ice definitely has an ok-sized gelato menu. Probably about 10 to 14 different flavors that you can choose from at any one time. If you're not sure what flavor you'd like to get up front, don't be shy and ask for a sample. Getting a flavor that you later decide you don't like is a huge let down and a waste of money if you end up throwing it away. In the tubs, they have sweet flavors to fruity flavors to tart flavors. Some of them are very unique, like Guava or Rum Raisin. Guava has a nice tart and fruity flavor while rum raisin has a rum and sweet flavor. Any flavor you get will depend on your personal preference, but I thought these two flavors were quite nice. The gelato is a little bit pricey compared to Baskin Robins or Froyo, but going once in awhile is nice. Plus, supporting local businesses is key. For a small size, I paid about $3.50. Since I'm a fan of waffle cones, I opted to get one for an additional $0.75. In total, this brought my purchase to $4.61. With my order, I received two ice cream scoops into my waffle cone. Each scoop was about the size of an egg. Honestly, this was enough for me to share with my boyfriend. The gelato does get a little bit sweet, so it was perfect to share. read more

Came here after a nice dinner for a night cap aka dessert. We were looking for a nice place to get some coffee and a dessert. Found this place on YELP, and was excited to try a crepe. When we got there, we spent some time just ogling the menu and decided to try a nutella crepe and a scoop of strawberry gelato. The server there was very patient and offered samples of the gelato to help us make a decision. She was friendly and answered questions too. The crepe was made fresh and to order, so it took a little bit, but we didn't mind the wait, and we watched her make the crepe while we started in on the gelato. The gelato was rich and full of flavor. It was not too sweet and the strawberries really shined through. The crepe was great in presentation and taste. We had it with Nutella and bananas. YUM. Amazing gelato place in a renovated market in Wenatchee. Rivals the best I've had in major metro areas (Seattle, Portland, SF). Lots of flavors to choose from, the size is actually reasonable so if you wanted to try a couple different flavors you could, and the prices aren't outrageous. Sure, it's not an ice-cream truck level of pricing, but you're getting something that's actually produced with care and attention, not mass-produced, frozen, and shipped around the country. There's tables both inside and outside, or you can just walk around enjoying yourself while you check out the other shops in the market. Haven't tried any of the crepes, but definitely plan on it when we go back for our annual summer visit next year. read more

If humans can make food this good, it gives us great faith in their ability to accomplish anything they set their minds to. The locals of this planet have a peculiar predilection for converting all their foods to cream-based frozen form. At this particular "gelateria" we encountered frozen approximations of such produce as pistachio, lemon, pear, blood orange (a fruit, and not a mix of fruit and bodily fluids), and Oreo (not a fruit but a widely admired biscuit). Based on extensive research into comparable frozen dessert vendors and a thorough sampling of the options at Ice, we are prepared to describe this as unusually excellent gelato. The texture is flawlessly and evenly creamy without becoming excessive heavy, and without any chunks of ice. The flavors are intense and well-balanced; the Oreo, in particular, was an excellent specimen. Our only concern was with the sugar cone, which, while acceptable, was not as phenomenal as the gelato itself. All told, Ice is the strongest evidence we have yet seen that this planet may be awesome. read more

My husband and I were in were in town for just a night visiting family. My father in law picked out a brewpub nearby for dinner. We saw the sign for the market and decided we would stop by and check it out after dinner. Upon entering the market, it was clear most of the stalls were closed, except for a few - Ice luckily being one of them still open. We spent a few weeks in Europe last year gobbling up crepes and gelato along the way, so when we saw Ice we were so excited - we are gelato freaks. (And Wyoming isn't the gelato capital of the USA, unfortunately.) We didn't sample the crepes, but we both had a few scoops of the gelato. I don't remember all the flavors we ordered, but I do remember espresso, pistachio, and coconut were a few. Smooth, creamy, not too sweet - just the way gelato is supposed to be. I think the prices were very fair. Hopefully they do well so next time I'm in town I will save room for a crepe AND some of the delicious gelato. read more

I recently found myself in Wenatchee visiting some relatives. After a pleasant outdoor dinner, it was decided that we should go out for a late dessert. One of the locals in our party noted that Ice was open late on Saturdays, so we jumped in a car and headed down to Pybus Market at around 9 pm. We arrived to find Ice (and a couple other restaurants) open. Upon heading up to the counter, we noticed that not only does Ice serve gelato as expected, they also serve sweet and savory crepes. One of those may be worth a try, and hopefully they're of higher quality than Ice's gelato (more on this later). Ice has a number of the "standard" flavors of gelato like vanilla and chocolate and some more esoteric flavors like hazelnut, Malaga (which is rum infused and is not related to the strange little redneck burg south of Wenatchee), and white chocolate. Unfortunately, they didn't have stracciatella which is a standby gelato flavor. Even Costco serves this flavor at some of their food courts (I can't vouch for other Costco locations but the South Seattle Costco on 4th Avenue serves this). However, the prices were very cheap compared to my usual Seattle gelato fixes like D'Ambrosio or The Fainting Goat. But how was the quality? In a very overused word, "meh". Yeah. The quality of the gelato wasn't anything special. Even considering the price. The white chocolate didn't have a very rich flavor, although the Malaga was extremely good. "But it's cheaper than those overcrowded tragically hip gelaterias you go to in Seattle, no?" one might say. That's true, but you know what else is cheaper and at least as good as Ice's gelato? Costco's gelato. And they sell 3 scoops of gelato for $1.50. The same size at Ice is $4.60. And as mentioned, you can get stracciatella there which NO gelateria in Seattle fails to carry. Ice would get 2 stars in Seattle but given that ratings should be adjusted for local climates, it gets 3 stars in Wenatchee. read more

We ordered the banana split and the affogato espresso with gelato. The banana split was great, you can choose 3 different flavors and it came with all the different toppings. Arrived 2.5 hours prior to closing. Attempted to make an order of 9 crepes and some gelato. The staff member seemed to be receptive until she heard the order, her whole demeanor changed. First, she said they ran out of bananas, then we wanted to proceed without bananas, and she followed by saying she didn't have enough batter for such a big order. All while seeming we were a bother to her. Horrible service!!!! She missed out on over one hundred dollar sale and a very generous tip. Friends (3 other families) right behind us got same size but ended up with twice as much ice cream. Note: if you order make sure a small goes a few inches above cup. I stopped in to try some of their Gelato. The portion was fine for $4 but the flavor died out after a few bites. I would try different scoops, not all of the same flavor. Such a find! We are new to town and exploring the Pybus Market. At first we thought it just a gelato/desert place...but our Saturday morning exploration for a cuppa and breakfast landed us at the Ice counter... to discover...crêpes! Super yummy breakfast crêpes, lovely service and a chill attitude. Just what the morning called for. We enjoyed it so much....we came back on Sunday. My boyfriend and I ordered gelato and cold brew coffee. The cold brew was good and woke me up but the gelato was better than I imagined! I like rich and decadent sweets while my boyfriend tends to stick with light and fruity sweets. I got the chocolate hazelnut and my second scoop was a weird name I couldn't pronounce that was also delicious. As good as mine was, nothing will ever compare to the bite I took out of my boyfriends scoop! BLOOD ORANGE GELATO!!! Get it. No matter what you get at this place, make sure you are at least sampling this flavor. It is so refreshing, light on your tastebuds and feels like heaven in your mouth! The service was service- nothing special but not bad in any way. I like being welcomed into a new spot and when an employee asks if I've been there before but the girl behind the counter was just shy and smiled a lot which isn't necessarily a bad thing I guess. I love the Gelato! They always have new flavors and it is always fun to see your favorites brought back. They let you sample all the different ones before you buy. I usually get two different flavors. I like The lemon and the Lemon pound cake, also the chocolate to name a few favorites. We usually do the Fire and Ice experience starting with pizza next door which i highly recommend. read more
