I was already excited to try this place, because it's called The Crêpe House ( @thecrepehouse_wa ) and I love crepes! What exceeded my expectations was that it's located in this really unique Victorian style house, with a tower and upstairs seating area and, with the most warm and welcoming owners! You can tell how much love they put into everything they serve, because it's all super delicious! While most of the guests, this morning were from out of town, there was this whole family that goes there, every time they visit Wenatchee, WA, from Chelan! Now that's obviously some delicious eats and great selection too! They have both Sweet AND Savory Crepes, along with Breakfast Sandwiches, on Asiago Bread, regular Bacon and Eggs Breakfast + a large selection of drinks! I decided to get their #ProteinPower Crepe and try out their seasonal #CoffeeFlight and it was all super yummy! My crepe was made with protein powder, a variety of fruits, crushed pecans, peanut butter and whipped cream! It was perfectly filling too! Consider this an observation (not a review). It's based on a to-go order for one item only...the Savory Chorizo and Egg Crêpe. My wife ordered this for delivery as a breakfast item (see pics). As a "Chorizo and Egg Burrito" I have no complaints. As a crêpe, I was disappointed. Crêpes, whether sweet or savory, are thin and fluffy, supple, even moist, but always light and airy due to the baking powder mixed into the egg and flour batter. Milk is added to the batter, creating a very thin pancake-like texture. The crêpe on my order was equivalent to a flour tortilla in every respect. It was dry, thick and dense. It appeared to be made in batches with other crêpes and used as a wrap around selected ingredients. A cilantro-jalapeño sauce with cheese was basted over the top. In all fairness, one should expect all the ingredients mentioned to taste like a Mexican burrito, that's no surprise. However, infusing garlic and spinach into a flour tortilla dough, does not make it a savory crêpe. It makes it a savory flour tortilla. I don't think I'm nitpicking here. Crêpes have a distinctive flavor that begins with butter. This menu item doesn't pass the test in my opinion. Yes, I'm a chef...and yes, I'll return to try the sweet crêpes. - Scott B. read more

Carlos is a great guy and it's nice to support this local business. The fruit was all very fresh and tasty. It also was not too sweet if you're not a fan of heavy sweetness. Service was incredibly slow. We walked in and immediately were able to place our order. It took over 45 minutes for four sweet crepes to come out. And 20 just for our drinks. The crepes themselves are sub-par for what I'd expect from a a crepe. Crepes are intended to be thin, have a nice buttery taste and airy texture. These were really thick and if you ended up with a bite that had no toppings, the crepe was virtually tasteless. Not good. I ordered the cinnamon apple crepe expecting the apples to be in a traditional apple cinnamon compote. The apples were simply raw, tart apples and seemingly tossed with cinnamon sugar. And one of the raw apple slices had the stem still on it. In addition to the super slow service and not great crepes, the cost was high. It was $70+ for four crepes four 12oz drinks. This was our first time here and the impression wasn't a good one. Probably won't be back - unfortunately. read more

I had some free time and I stopped by with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised. The place has a captivating charm! It was very clean and had Halloween decorations which are appropriate for this time of year. The people were very polite and helpful to determine which crepe to pick. I had the Aloha Sunrise Crepe and it was refreshingly tasty. The kiwi and mango was fresh and the kiwi seeds provided a tangy crunch. The pineapple jam appears homemade. I should say they are large crepes I couldn't finish mine alone. My daughter had the Pumpkin Crepe. It was appropriate for fall. She rather enjoyed it. But made the comment that it was too much pumpkin ofcourse after she almost finished it off. I tried it and enjoyed it! The crepe was almost like a deconstructed pumpkin pie but cold. The Crepe House is a very cute place to relax and enjoy a coffee and light snack. Blue Star coffee made an amazing latte with a nice decorative top. Excellent! They have an upstairs area that would be terrific for a small gathering (baby shower, book club, etc) Crepes are beautiful and light, with either sweet or savory options. We'll be back for more! Well, while I love the idea of something new in Wenatchee, I can't say I'm impressed with the value of the meal. I paid for a g/f vegetarian savory crepe, that arrived about 20 minutes after the three other ones arrived at our table. For the cost of the crepe, the portion size was pretty pathetic. I had to request the drinks we ordered too. I hope the owners/family can improve the portions and service with time. I recommend you go without the expectation of a full meal and more of a nice, light snack. read more
