We went to this bakery with friends who go there weekly to pick up a round of their sourdough bread. We also love sourdough and Mountainside's is the best that we've had so far. We live in Seattle and finding a good sourdough is our thing. We have tried Macrina, Grand Central and our local bakery Wild Wheat but they don't compare to the taste and texture of Mountainside. There are many bakeries in the Seattle area and we plan to keep trying to find a bread that is comparable because we can't be driving to Wenatchee every week - LOL. Their bread comes in a round or Pullman loaf. Next time we plan to bring both home with us along with a couple of pastries. We tried their salted chocolate chip and peanut butter sandwich cookies and they were excellent and a good size. The guava cream cruffin was delicious too. I'm guessing the baker rotates a variety of flavors. It's a small bakery with seating for having coffee and a pastry and if we lived there we would be there weekly too. Thankfully we see our friends that we can get our fix at least every couple months or so. read more

BRAND NEW BAKERY - WOW!! We were out walking the Apple Capital Trail this afternoon when Kathryn told me about this place. If you are walking the trail in the area of Riverside Pub and Awaken Church, this place is in that big apartment complex. Best Sourdough Bread I've tasted. We shared a bowel of their Loaded Baked Potato Soup and it was delicious. And imagine a big rice crispy treat made with fruity pebbles- man is that yummy. We had a great coffee too. Took home a savory ham croissant, a raspberry cruffin, and a chocolate chip cookie. WOW! they were all delicious. Especially the croissant and the cruffin, really outstanding. So happy to find a bakery open on Mondays. Definitely will go back soon. They have a different soup every day and I would like to try that too. read more
