We went in on a Thursday about 20 minutes before closing and there was still cupcakes left! We ordered an Oreo, red velvet, vanilla salted caramel & a chocolate salted caramel with a chocolate dip on the icing and salted caramel in the cupcake. These were so moist and the cake was dense and fluffy. The lady behind the counter was amazingly sweet! She told us that the icing had been sitting that day so it would be stiff. She was friendly and talkative! The salted caramel is amazing! We wanted to stop back by before we left but the kids were slow moving so no luck but man am I sad we didn't. read more

We are so happy we went with Cupcake Blues. We got a small cutting cake for ourselves and cupcakes for our guest in two flavors lemon and funfeti. I have gotten several messages from our guest how much they loved the cupcakes. We found this place by chance during a wine tasting festival in Wentachee and now everytime we visit we talk about visiting - the only downside is their hours never seem to work out for us. There were so many good flavors that looked yummy that it was hard to decide. We ended up getting a chocolate peanut butter and an almond joy - so yummy. Sarina and Cupcake Blues were a pleasure to work with for our wedding cake. We scheduled a tasting with Sarina and arrived at the very cute Cupcake Blues shop to be greeted with a full platter of cupcake and frosting combinations. Sarina walked us through the different combinations and we sampled them all in turn; they were delicious! We also communicated to Sarina that we wanted a 'naked' cake style, which our florist then decorated with flowers. The cake turned out exactly as we envisioned and looked absolutely beautiful. Now to the most important part, the taste. The cake is deliciously moist and not overly sweet, and paired excellently with the frostings we chose. We did a three-tier cake, with funfetti cake + buttercream frosting top layer, red velvet + cream cheese frosting in the middle, and simple vanilla cake + buttercream on the bottom. Everything was delicious and there weren't any leftovers to be found by the end of the night. Sarina was great in communication and helping us organize transport for the cake. The owner was extremely unhelpful and wasn't able to offer any assistance or guidance while choosing which cake I wanted. I kept asking for her opinion, or possible ideas she might have given this is her profession and what she does everyday. She would just look at me in silence and made me feel as if I was dumb for asking for her help. Ordered a custom cake with oreo cookie and it was very pretty and delicious! I will order from them again. The hours are short because they sell out quickly so that is the only challenging part. If you work you have to try and get there during a small window. It was easy to work with them to order and do the pickup. I saw they were opened earlier this week, but watching all the happy people coming and going while I was stuck in my office at the corner of Orondo and Wenatchee was too much! When lunch came I scampered down to the basement level bakery and was pleasantly surprised by the crowd waiting for cupcakes. The ladies in the bakery had almost sold out for the day (it is Valentine's Day) but they still had four packs of red velvet cupcakes. Now I'm a fan of red velvet, being born and raised in Texas, but these weren't exactly like any other red velvet I've had. No chocolate flavor, and though they were red, they didn't taste like food coloring either. The cupcakes were moist, sweet without being sickly, and the frosting: goodness, the frosting! It's light and fluffy, not at all greasy or thick. I could've easily eaten the whole four pack myself. Thankfully, common sense prevailed (but I wish it hadn't). It's a small space, and looks like they're still in the process of opening, but if the rest of their offerings are as good as the red velvet cupcake I got, wowza! read more

I've never spent that much for a 8' birthday cake before - and was expecting something 'over the top'. The cake itself was very dry all around the outside as if her oven was not heating properly. My biggest disappointment was that the base for all except for one of the cupcakes was chocolate or vanilla.
