Exterior (9/21/23)

It's been awhile stopping in Cashmere...Aplets and Cotlets site in 1981 and Anjou Bakery sometime in the 1990s. I randomly detoured off of Hwy 2 East towards the downtown area and took the first roundabout. I saw the signage Bakery and hoped it was a worthy detour. And it was, my first visit to Sure to Rise Bakery (9/21/23). I ended up buying a peanut butter brownie for The Homie from the pastry case and two pastries from the discount basket. I should have asked what these were called. I should have bought all the remaining slices from the pastry case and the basket. The peanut butter brownie was devoured by The Homie when handed to him later in the day. Sorry no photo taken. However, the other pastries were briefly warmed up and eaten the next day. For one or two day old pastries, these had a nice crumb and not too sweet. Reminded me of a cross between a danish and a struedel. Delicious! If there's ever another opportunity to visit, I'll have to consider carefully *all* the products on the shelves, basket, and pastry case. Pleasant customer service. Love old school bake shops! Terrific find! Definitely recommended!

Mary and I stopped in this morning for the first time. The breakfast Zombie and Panini were filled with cheese, sausage and egg, delicious. The giant cinnamon role and lemon danish were awesome!

This is such a gem in cashmere! We usually stop by on the way to visit family in the lower yakima valley. We pick up the cheese zombies, This may look like a plain un frosted doughnut; but it's a CHEESE ZOMBIE!! Inside there is American cheese and lil smokies which transport me right back to my middle school days when zombies and soup were on the school menu found these gems at Sure To Rise Bakery in Cashmere. Super simple and yet sooooo good

Hearing the story of this place almost gave me tears in my eyes. This is an over 80 year old business that has kept everything the same even the recipes! This provides a little bit of nostalgia for people who have lived here for their whole lives for those who see the world changing and still are able to walk in and have a little peace of their childhood. Absolutely incredible absolutely recommended and by far a business I am happy to give my money to. Fantastic service! Absolutely beautiful giving from the heart and serving from the heart mentality here. Wow! This was not a normal visit to the bakery as I had expected! This is truly a huge part of what makes this area a beautiful beautiful experience! I got the cream pie cinnamon rolls and some sourdough bread!

The best bavarian cream donut I've ever had here and the prices here are very fair. I would definitely frequent more if I lived nearby. The bakery also had a variety of other donuts, sourdough bread, rolls, buns, cake slices and other goodies for sale as well. Everything we tried was amazing, but the bavarian cream donut is definitely my favorite. The employee working on the day I went was very friendly and helpful too. This bakery is worth stopping by if you're in the area!

I came to Sure To Rise Bakery with my aunt and my uncle on Tuesday the 10th of November 2020 towards the end of our walk around Cashmere that morning. Signs in the window clearly communicated that the bakery was still open and brought us inside. The donuts were on display making it easy for each of us to choose the donut we wanted. Other items such as breads and beverages were also on display and available for purchase. We were helped by a friendly worker who got each of the donuts we requested and made pleasant conversation as we paid. The bakery itself was warm and had a few seats if you wanted to eat there. I went with a Bavarian Cream, chocolate frosted and cream filled, donut. My uncle went with the Triple Berry Fritter and my aunt went with the maple frosted Pershing donut. All of us enjoyed our donuts, and I found the Bavarian Cream to hit the spot. It was a little smaller in size than some of the other donuts and had a robust cream filling. Sometimes bakeries can make the filling a little on the too sweet/sugary side but not Sure To Rise Bakery. They executed the cream filling in texture and taste perfectly. The chocolate frosting wasn't too dark or chocolatey either. I am not the biggest fan of chocolate when it becomes overpowering. The delicate balance between frosting, cream, and dough was simply delicious.

If you have ANY German blood in you or WISH you did, or just appreciate good pastry, do NOT pass…read morethis one by. I saw cakes I hadn't seen in decades, the owner has the perfect German accent and the samples of the German rye bread will make you yodel for your own loaf to take home! I was so excited I completely forgot to ask for mine sliced! I guess I'll have to have irregular thickness pieces but the flavor is soo worth it! Great service super nice people!!

We absolutely love this bakery and stop in every time we are in Leavenworth! With my husband having…read morea German mother, he spent his childhood there, and we've perused several bakeries in town--this is the only truly authentic one. The bakery is old and small with limited seating, which actually reminds us of the authentic grab-and-go spots in Germany. We always go for the Bienenstich (bee sting cake). The server at the counter was really sweet and helpful; she cut us a big 'ole slice knowing we were sharing. We devoured that incredible slice, which delivered a perfect bite of creamy vanilla custard nestled between soft yeast cake and a crunchy, caramelized honey-almond topping. The contrast of the smooth filling and the sticky, nutty 'sting' makes for a truly memorable dessert experience, perfect every time. We also snagged a mini pretzel loaf. We were only missing mustard, but honestly, my husband said it was so good it didn't even need anything. It was fun to see the baker hard at work making bread, and the whole place smelled amazing. If you go, get there early--they sell out fast!
