Saturday morning hubby goes down to donut shop and gets the same 2 Chocolate Bismarcks (for me), 2 Maple Bars (for him), Chocolate cake Donuts, Plain Donuts, Cinnamon Rolls to munch on during the day. Have to get the early as the Police gets there before anybody lol and clean them out. They are that good. We will not buy donuts any place else as they do not taste as good as ABC. If you don't like this place you have not really eaten a really good donut. These people are very kind and take their time with you. They answer any questions you might have like how long have they been sitting in the display counter lol. Take a break and eat a donut there with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. A little disappointing because Ellensburg is quite the distance from North Dallas and ABC Donuts might be 1 of my top 3 favorite places I've ever gotten donuts from. My typical order is an original old fashioned and white sprinkle - they had this thin crisp on the edges and were pillowy soft in the middle - not very typical, but a must that I didn't know I needed. read more

Meh. I wanted to love this place, I really did... I went by once and it was closed but I made a point to return because like I said, I wanted to love this place! So, I got a cake donut with chocolate frosting and a glazed raised donut. And a coffee.... well, almost a coffee, it ran out and I was given the choice, something out of the cold case or wait for another pot to be brewed. I got milk. Then, I asked to use the restroom. She told me it was "out of order." I knew she was lying I could hear it in her voice. But, as an establishment that provides seating to eat, isn't she required to provide a restroom? I know it's true in King County, I'd assume the same in Kittitas. And, where is she using the restroom and washing her hands?! Then the donuts, maybe this visit would be saved. Nope. Mediocre. The cake donut wasn't crispy on the outside and the chocolate was just okay. The raised donut was tough. That's right, tough! Right across the street from D&M Coffee.... I spotted this when I was going to get coffee and decided I'd give them a try. It is a tiny, tiny storefront with very limited seating. There were lots of people picking up large orders of donuts (that they had set up in the back - and there were LOTS of boxes). So obviously the locals love this place to get their donut fix. I paid. .85 (cheap) for 1 cruller (my go to donut) and it was really good (there was a tad to much glaze on it...). Would stop here again to get a donut fix! read more

We stumbled across this place while driving through Ellensburg and on impulse decided to stop. We are sorry we did. We bought four donuts, only one of which, the raspberry-filled, was worth finishing. For the rest, we took one bite and threw it away. While not technically bad, as in moldy, these donuts were below average in every way. We went to Vinman's Bakery immediately afterward, not because we needed more pastry, but just to get the taste out of our mouths. I recommend Vinman's. read more

Great tasting donuts, I bring a dozen into work every so often. They are eaten up before I can leave the breakroom. Some have complained about price, if you want bulk garbage then goto Freddy's or Safeway. I'm a sucker for donuts! Especially still warm, freshly baked, lovingly made ones! When we can't stand holding out any longer (think we've gone a whole week once) we make our way in there and order like fatties. Great donuts, great location, and great hours. Open daily: weekdays from 5:30 am and weekends from 6 am. Highly recommend popping one of their glazed donuts in the microwave for a few seconds. It's melty dreamy goodness. 5 stars for business hours. You can basically get a donut at any hour (almost). That, in itself, is awesome. 4 stars for the donuts. The donuts are good. Really hard to screw up a donut, I'd imagine, but I've never tried to make any myself. My gauge of a good donut shop includes two variables...1) the maple bar and 2) the apple fritter. First off, this place had both, which not all places have. +2 points there. The maple to donut ratio on the former was not quite right for me. They could be a little more generous with the maple. The apple fritter was pretty solid. Not dried out, lots of apple chunks but it seemed small in comparison to other shops' fritters. Probably for the better (so my arteries tell me). 3 stars for prices. I will say their prices seem a bit "steep" as far as these things are concerned. Granted, probably a nickle or dime more than other places but it's a freaking donut and it's ELLENSBURG. Based on the cost of living here, these little fried delights shouldn't be any more than a quarter, half-dollar tops. I think my fritter was close to a dollar. A dollar! Oh well, I complain but I still patronize the place. Nothing gets in the way of me and a solid doughnut, not even 50 cents. read more

I love this little donut shop, considering that in Ellensburg we don't have anything other than the grocery stores if we want a halfway-good donut, and this place is great. Me and my classmates went here last year to celebrate the end of a long testing day, and it was AMAZING. Another plus is the public library is sort of kitty-corner, so you can grab a book and a donut, which for me, is the perfect day. The business is also run, I think, by a local family, so the fact that they manage this so well is very impressive. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ABC DONUTS! read more

I went there recently on a Sunday around 11:00 and the case probably had about a third of donuts left, which I found surprising. It was disappointing to not have the full variety of donuts to choose from. The lady working there said that most were sold earlier that morning but I still think there should have been a lot more made. Anyway, the few that I got were just okay and nothing out of the ordinary. I probably won't be going back and would recommend to not go out of your way to get donuts from there. read more
