The service was fast and friendly, the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon & Cheese Burger was fantastic- and so was the Oreo milkshake!

Outstanding, burger drive-in pros. No sit-down dining, so that allows the staff to crank out fresh and hot food. Check the marquee when approaching their two drive-thru lanes for the value meal of the day. It's usually under 15 bucks, and in this day and age that's pretty darned good for a comforting cheat meal. Don't look for the staff to be anything but busy as heck, but our gal at the window still had time to be friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Glad we were finally able to try them...

I really like these kind of local burger joints so when I saw that one was right across the street from the hotel I was staying at while in Wenatchee I immediately picked it as my dinner spot. We ordered at the window and started to eat our dinner at the picnic tables outside before deciding to take it back to the hotel room because we were being eaten by mosquitoes. There was a special on chicken sandwich meals so I got one of those with garlic fries and a side of ranch. The fries were loaded with minced garlic, which as a garlic lover, I greatly appreciated. My boyfriend was back home in San Diego so I called him and joked that it was a good thing he was two states away from me that night. :) The chicken sandwich was standard burger restaurant quality, meaning deliciously unhealthy. I liked the freshness of the lettuce and tomato though to at least give the illusion that there was something healthy between the buns.

Really great burgers and tots. A must stop when driving through. A taste of history. Fast. Yummy. Convenient.

It's Burger King on steroids! You won't find tomatoes on the menu board, but almost every other combination of garnish (and companion meats) are options. I went with their stated classic, the "OG Mission" ('original gangster') burger. It is delicious, albeit noticeably greasy, due to the extra-high fat content of the ground beef. But that's where the rich flavor comes from. What Mission Burgers is doing right is highly seasoning the meat with salt and pepper, then punching up the flavor with pickles, red onion, and their special sauce. Add to that the richness of the cheese and the crusty, grilled bun--this is the winning combination at the base of all their other burger options. The other thing I really appreciate is, their straightforward pricing without trying to upsell their ingredients. The add-ons are inexpensive--slice of cheddar is $.50 compared to EZ's $1.47 for the same. Two suggestions: - drain the grease off the patties before assembly, - don't fold the wrapper in half... wrap the burger in a full sheet, stronger paper if necessary, keep it from leaking all over clothing. (I'll be back to check! :-) Otherwise, this is a 5-Star burger! (see the menu board pic attached for all the other options, including chicken)

Dizzy D's - Burger Joint or Restaurant…read more I have to stick with a neutral 3-Star rating, as I haven't tried any of Dizzy D's burgers (and there are many). But I did have a Chef Salad, a Philly Cheese sandwich, a Club House sandwich and a Potato Salad side serving. The big question for me: Is Dizzy's a burger joint trying to be a restaurant? If the Philly Steak sandwich is any measure, Dizzy's is a restaurant--the Philly Steak is delicious. Not only the flavor of the meat and its generous portion, but the pairing of cheese and bell pepper takes this entrée over the top. But I do notice the at-onetime-side of fries, has become a small slice of toast, which makes no sense as the side to a hoagie bun (or was it meant for the salad with croutons?--either way, who wants bread with their bread. Still, top marks for the Philly (with or without fries)! Otherwise, the Chef Salad and the Club House sandwich were both exercises in processed food--the same cold cut meats used in both. Whether you like your luncheon meat with lettuce, or with bread, you're in for the same experience at the same price. My point: neither are restaurant quality because the 1/16" thin slices of ham and turkey, and yellow-n-white cheeses, and bacon...can't compete with the major restaurants in Wenatchee who slice fully-cooked ham and turkey. Yet the menu prices at Dizzy's are within a dollar of those at Rail House, or McGlinns, or even Denny's. The potato salad side is just a courtesy side dish. The single slice of pickle on top doesn't make it a flavor pairing. I think Reser's Potato Salad from WinCo would be a better choice. I will return for the cheeseburgers...promise! After all, Dizzy's has been around for at least 16 years--that's to their credit; they've got to be doing something right, right? It certainly isn't their lunch meat offerings. Finally, gotta say, the guy cooking, and the Gal at the window were both charming, great service providers!

Sadly, many of them have moved on. But some still remain, and encountering them again is exhilarating. I always look forward to the hugs and squealing laughter.--"...where did you go and what have you done...? We've missed you!" McGlinn's Alehouse is the place we spent most of our time for the first five years of our marriage. It was originally the Orondo Tavern, built in 1922 as a solid brick two-story commercial building in the small town rural American style--big, open storefront windows on the ground floor, and small offices and apartments on the second, with tiny windows surrounded in iron bar planters. Such buildings have long narrow internal staircases up the right side entrance--one you'd never access unless to lived in one of those vaults upstairs. I finally returned to McGlinn's tonight. I had been meaning to, long before this, but there was never any parking in front --many restaurants now have covered sidewalk-cabanas out front--a code violation waved during the COVID pandemic. Inside, the left wall is still that half-block-long cabinet of all the liquor bottles you can imagine, multiplied in depth by the mirrors behind them. Down the middle of the room is one long continuous table that seats 14 people on a side--yes, strangers sit together. At the very back wall there is still, the largest brick open-hearth wood-burning oven you'd ever bake a leg of lamb and two pizzas in, at the same time. And down the right side-wall were six wooden tables-of-four, all sealed in a hard resin clear coat, as shiny and clean as they were vintage and rustic. I sat in the first chair at the first table, my back to the stairway down to bathrooms in the basement below the sidewalk. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tim's chips, a departure from the "John Paul Bacon Burger with pickled onions (McGlinn's is famous for). Ask to sit in Sadie's section--she's been there 20 years. McGlinn's has been there 34 years! What's not to like about an old friend! -------== ##### ==-------

When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I tried their gravy to determine what bread I wanted (biscuit was an option) and it was so good. I'm such a gravy snob and this was quite flavorful with a creamy texture. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her. This is a super cute place with indoor seating and what looked like a covered patio dining area. We will definitely be back.
