Dizzy D's - Burger Joint or Restaurant I have to stick with a neutral 3-Star rating, as I haven't tried any of Dizzy D's burgers (and there are many). But I did have a Chef Salad, a Philly Cheese sandwich, a Club House sandwich and a Potato Salad side serving. The big question for me: Is Dizzy's a burger joint trying to be a restaurant? If the Philly Steak sandwich is any measure, Dizzy's is a restaurant--the Philly Steak is delicious. Not only the flavor of the meat and its generous portion, but the pairing of cheese and bell pepper takes this entrée over the top. But I do notice the at-onetime-side of fries, has become a small slice of toast, which makes no sense as the side to a hoagie bun (or was it meant for the salad with croutons?--either way, who wants bread with their bread. Still, top marks for the Philly (with or without fries)! Otherwise, the Chef Salad and the Club House sandwich were both exercises in processed food--the same cold cut meats used in both. Whether you like your luncheon meat with lettuce, or with bread, you're in for the same experience at the same price. My point: neither are restaurant quality because the 1/16" thin slices of ham and turkey, and yellow-n-white cheeses, and bacon...can't compete with the major restaurants in Wenatchee who slice fully-cooked ham and turkey. Yet the menu prices at Dizzy's are within a dollar of those at Rail House, or McGlinns, or even Denny's. The potato salad side is just a courtesy side dish. The single slice of pickle on top doesn't make it a flavor pairing. I think Reser's Potato Salad from WinCo would be a better choice. I will return for the cheeseburgers...promise! After all, Dizzy's has been around for at least 16 years--that's to their credit; they've got to be doing something right, right? It certainly isn't their lunch meat offerings. Finally, gotta say, the guy cooking, and the Gal at the window were both charming, great service providers! read more

I have eaten here at this place for years always gotten great service always gotten great food since the kids have taken over the product has gone downhill. The prices have gone up and the service sucks Wen this afternoon to get a basic ham and cheese sandwich with chips I leave I get 5 miles away to my destination to eat it and there's two real tiny thin pieces of ham that were like Budwig ham that you used to buy for $.88 for a whole package of it no cheese, two tiny pieces of lettuce I guess maybe I have to go elsewhere for my businessand this sandwich was just over $10. Sorry sorry to see this place go downhill because they had most excellent everything on their menu. read more

Come on Dizzys! I eat here occasionally but not often due to price. Tonight was ridiculous. I wanted a 20 oz sprite which they don't carry so we got the cheaper generic one they carry. They charged me $4.08! Seriously! I can't go here any longer this is beyond a rip off. I should have driven off but my wife was sick and wanted. A "Sprite". Just ordered my first cheeseburger to go from drive-through. Ask for no sauce no onions and with just a little bit of ketchup. What I got was a ketchup sandwich. was put on the top bun and the bottom. was the worst burger I have ever had. And I will never go there again. read more

Best burger in town so far, hands down. I don't even know if you can go inside because I've always been through the drive through- which is pretty dated and could use an update probably. First time I went, I asked what type of cheese they had for my burger. The person through the mic told me, "anything you want!" So I asked for pepper jack. They didn't have that. I asked for Swiss cheese second, which to my surprise they also didn't have. At this point I asked what cheese do they have since I obviously have the wrong taste in cheese Other than the service being pretty spotty, it is a place in Wenatchee I will always go to if I'm close and in the mood for a burger. I was going back and forth on doing a 5 Star or 4 Star rating, but realized the 4 Star would've only been based on my subjective taste and not the business. So it's 5 Star all the way! This little gem is located just south of Wenatchee Valley College and is pretty much your wonderfully basic old school burger place. The star of the show are there different burgers, and based on my experience, Dizzy's offers one of the best. Quality ingredients, great taste, and overall good value. I'm looking forward to experiencing other items on their menus in the future. To stop at the food, only, would be an injustice to this wonderful burger place. The owners and staff obviously understand the hospitality, business, and offer some of the absolute best and friendly service of any burger joint I've ever been to. Dizzy D's delivers on all points when it comes to a local burger place. If you're ever in Wenatchee, or nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in and grab a delicious bite to eat. Heard that this is the 2nd best burger joint in Wenatchee after EZs Deluxe. Checked it out and that is exactly what it is. A simple burger, tasty but nothing as good as EZs. I suggest going here if you see a huge lineup at EZs. The lady who served us was very kind. read more

This is my favorite place to eat in Wenatchee!!! The food is awesome and the people there are super nice! They have the best burgers in town. I also love the Clubhouse sandwich. It is big and delicious, with ham, turkey, bacon, 2 cheeses, and lettuce and tomato. They make their own chili from scratch in house and it is the best!!! I get a bowl with all the fixin's almost every time I go. If you like it spicy ask for jalapenos and ghost chili spice that they make themselves. You can always cool off with a a giant milkshake or ice cream cone. They have over 24 flavors plus you can mix and match for even more delicious choices! I love the fresh made from scratch clam chowder on Fridays. They also make my favorite breakfast in town! I always get "The Trash Can". It is a mix of bacon, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, cheese, onions and peppers all piled together on a platter and served with toast. I also usually order a pancake too. They are the size of a manhole cover...Awesome!!! I'll wash it all down with a breve cappuccino from their full menu of espresso drinks. Then there is the challenge!!! The 18 wheeler...It is a burger with 9 hamburgers formed into 3 giant patties on special made giant bun with 3 fried eggs, 3 onion ring, and all the fixin's. If you can eat it in less than 18 minutes it is free and you get your picture on the wall and a free Dizzy D's trucker hat. I have not been inside this restaurant before, but I have been through the drive thru maybe once. I know they are pretty popular for their milkshake flavors and are located on the west side of town so I often forget they are there. The hubby brought some to-go home for me to try after a recommendation from a co-worker. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and it came with fries, and a side of Au jus. It was pretty darn tasty! I haven't had a good cheesesteak since Bruchi's! (I heart Bruchi's) I highly recommend trying this gem if you haven't yet! read more

Let me start when I walked in, the place is small. The tables seem to close to each other. The chairs were old and uncomfortable. The food was great but it took us a long, time to get it. I thought they forgot about us. When the food was ready, I found out that their sizes are smaller than usual. I asked for a large size of fries but instead it seem like I got a small. Food was great but very greasy. I had to take some of the grease with a napkin. My husband ordered onion rings and they were so tiny. But yet, everything was so expensive. we had to pay $8 for a burger and on top of that $5 for "large" fries or onion rings. shouldn't burgers and fries be one meal, for one price. very exepensive. read more

Now here is a burger. no over sweet secret sauce, big burgers, big hot dogs for the kids and salt your own fries. This is off the main drag, you have to drive down 5th past the College and it's tucked behind a convenient store on the corner of Western and 5th. The prices seem a bit pricey, but compared to the other burger joints in Wenatchee it is very competitive and the big burger combo for 7$ or so it huge. I would rather eat here then at a major chain. Hands down the BEST customer service in Wenatchee! Don't judge this place by the flat blue brick exterior or the Spartan, campy inside. This is the one place in Wenatchee staffed by people who actually know what they're doing. Burgers are great. Fries are great. Prices are great. Okay, Dizzy D 's has been consistently voted for years as "Wenatchee's Best" burger as far back as I can remember. What does that say about Wenatchee in general? That's a pretty sad statement when this is considered the best burger in town. Trust me, I've been here several times over the years. I've wanted to like it. I just can't. The food here is similar to school cafeteria food. Honestly, that's what it's closest to. They even have sloppy Joe's as a special, so it's easy to draw that connection. The burgers are bland, greasy and seem like the hockey pucks you get in bulk to grill cheap. Even the fries are lacking. Honestly, I prefer McDonald's fries to here. Now that's bad! It's never been good or anything special to me. Considering the other places in town though, the options are pretty thin. Maybe this is the best in town. Maybe the options just suck in Wenatchee. Service is hit or miss but when the right people are behind the grill watch out. You're going to get the privilege of consuming what I believe to be one of the best burgers a man can come a cross. I always get the bacon burger. When the service is on point you get fresh crisp and crunchy lettuce, onion and a healthy slab of tomatoe. Bacon is slightly chewy, and patty is perfectly juicy and cooked. To top it off their secret sauce is among my all time favorites. It truly is a burger worth the 10 minute wait. read more
