Could not pass by this place again. It's not near where we stay in Apple Country, but it's on the way home. Grabbed a big to-go order, knowing we'd enjoy it when we got back (2 1/2-hour drive). It's tricky to get to their location--regardless--it was worth the effort. They are not your hermano's tortas, Sonny Jim. They're a few dollars more than you may be used to, but they are massive. Let me put it this way....you'd crawl over glass for one at 2AM, after a slovenly night. Great job with street tacos and enchiladas ordered, as well. And their salsa rojo had such a nice, smokey kick that I'd pay for a pint of it right now if I could. Very nice Señor took care of us. Passing by the Crazy Turtle is no more for this familia...

Tortas mexicana and tacos al pastor. We took half home. So good!

Hands down the torta mexican and tacos al pastor were the best I've ever tasted! The service was fantastic. Before we left we saw some ceviche, we are going back next date night for some! Fresh made to order food.

Banana and chocolate smoothie!! Very good!

If you want a good Torta; this is the place to go. Place is busy on the weekend so expect to wait a bit. Good service and fair prices. I would recommend this place to Mexican food lovers. Food here is 100% authentic.

This is such a great find. The family that own and run the restaurant are the sweetest people, and the food is so fresh and yummy! I had the crazy turtle torta, which was huge. And now you can get their food delivered! Check out https://food.dashingdrivers.com/order/restaurant/la-tortuga-loca/18.

I love blue cheese dressing, especially when I can choose the amount. Dilly's is a little diluted and lacks garlic, but the crumbled blue cheese made it all work. Also, salt and pepper was needed--if it was there, I didn't see any. But hey, this is the most complete salad bar I've seen in Wenatchee. It's Burger King on steroids! You won't find tomatoes on the menu board, but almost every other combination of garnish (and companion meats) are options. I went with their stated classic, the "OG Mission" ('original gangster') burger. It is delicious, albeit noticeably greasy, due to the extra-high fat content of the ground beef. But that's where the rich flavor comes from. What Mission Burgers is doing right is highly seasoning the meat with salt and pepper, then punching up the flavor with pickles, red onion, and their special sauce. Add to that the richness of the cheese and the crusty, grilled bun--this is the winning combination at the base of all their other burger options. The other thing I really appreciate is, their straightforward pricing without trying to upsell their ingredients. The add-ons are inexpensive--slice of cheddar is $.50 compared to EZ's $1.47 for the same. Two suggestions: - drain the grease off the patties before assembly, - don't fold the wrapper in half... wrap the burger in a full sheet, stronger paper if necessary, keep it from leaking all over clothing. (I'll be back to check! :-) Otherwise, this is a 5-Star burger! (see the menu board pic attached for all the other options, including chicken)

Today was our second visit but the first to include food. We are in town for the week and stopped by for coffee three days ago and bantered a bit with the woman working the counter whose name we found out today is Amber. She's so awesome! I hope that business knows just how amazing she is and treats her accordingly. That first day we only ordered coffee and really liked it and the banter lifted us up a bit so that was cool. Today we went in for breakfast and coffee. She remembered us and everything unique about that first encounter. It was a good feeling after a crazy few days so that was wonderful. We also met Hannah who made the excellent coffees we had. We ordered a croque monsieur with an egg on top, a beirock (not sure I'm spelling that right), quiche and a morning bun. Everything was delicious! The beirock had eggs, cheese and bacon in it in a fully closed bun. That bun had such a good flavor that I would only order that next time. The quiche was creamy and smooth but the crust wasn't good. Our daughter who lives here and loves this place, especially their quiche (she says it's better than mine, lol) says the crust usually isn't as bad as it was today. I don't normally love sweets for breakfast but it was yummy. The croque was fan-frickin-tastic and while Randy says he's had one that's better, it's not much better and he absolutely loved it. I always look forward to the hugs and squealing laughter.--"...where did you go and what have you done...? We've missed you!" McGlinn's Alehouse is the place we spent most of our time for the first five years of our marriage. It was originally the Orondo Tavern, built in 1922 as a solid brick two-story commercial building in the small town rural American style--big, open storefront windows on the ground floor, and small offices and apartments on the second, with tiny windows surrounded in iron bar planters. Such buildings have long narrow internal staircases up the right side entrance--one you'd never access unless to lived in one of those vaults upstairs. I finally returned to McGlinn's tonight. I had been meaning to, long before this, but there was never any parking in front --many restaurants now have covered sidewalk-cabanas out front--a code violation waved during the COVID pandemic. Inside, the left wall is still that half-block-long cabinet of all the liquor bottles you can imagine, multiplied in depth by the mirrors behind them. Down the middle of the room is one long continuous table that seats 14 people on a side--yes, strangers sit together. At the very back wall there is still, the largest brick open-hearth wood-burning oven you'd ever bake a leg of lamb and two pizzas in, at the same time. And down the right side-wall were six wooden tables-of-four, all sealed in a hard resin clear coat, as shiny and clean as they were vintage and rustic. I sat in the first chair at the first table, my back to the stairway down to bathrooms in the basement below the sidewalk. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tim's chips, a departure from the "John Paul Bacon Burger with pickled onions (McGlinn's is famous for). Ask to sit in Sadie's section--she's been there 20 years. The Bacon-Mushroom Döner was a sandwich with enough sauce to leak all over. The flavor was complex and fresh, and all the food groups were represented. But there wasn't a distinguishing flavor-forward identity. It was a vegetable sandwich with bacon. I'm not complaining, it was good. But the wrapping did not keep ingredients and sauce from falling out on my clothing. Still, I give it the benefit of the doubt. The FFF (Feta French Fries) were the biggest challenge for me because: [Hot Fries+Cold Garnish=Cold Fries]. Maybe this combination is popular in Germany or Turkey, I wouldn't think it's popular in the US. I could have finished it, but chose not to. I'm looking forward next time to the more traditional menu items, like the Turkish Rice dishes.
