Their froyo is sweeter than I like, but it's pretty good. The staff is always super friendly, and they're conveniently located.

I was looking for a milkshake made from hard-pack ice cream (not the soft serve aerated stuff)…read more When I looked at the photos for Legend on Yelp, I recognized Rob Kennedy, the owner. There's a story. I'm an engineer of food-processing machinery now retired, and Rob approached me 14 years ago with an idea for using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream, a process developed by several universities. I was in the process of retiring, so couldn't help him, but the idea was genius! Now, these many years later, I'm delighted to see his perseverance and success. Nitrogen ice-cream is always rich and flavorful, made from the freshest quality ingredients, often within 24-48 hours before it's sold. And in many cases (like milkshakes) it's created while you wait. Another feature is, that flavor options are endless--there is an extensive menu of ice-cream flavors you will not find anywhere else. My 16oz chocolate shake was thick, rich in cream, and over-the-top in its depth of flavor. I actually couldn't finish it, Sherrie had to. She didn't complain . Be prepared to pay more and get more. Legend's nitrogen shakes don't melt down to half the volume like a frosty from Wendy's (or the equivalents everywhere else). We're lucky to have this innovative option in Wenatchee!

It's tucked away easy to miss. However, don't let that stop you from experiencing some of the best ice cream will ever enjoy. Everything is made in house from the delicious flavors to the mix ins you can taste the quality and every bite, and you can tell how much thought they put into each batch. It truly is an experience that you cannot miss. The customer service was spot on. They were very warm and inviting and helped us with our selections. Bonus, they had a customer restroom, which I was pleasantly surprised about due to the size of the facility. They have freezers where you can pick up the size of ice cream you wanna take home and try as well as a drive-through. This is an all year round experience. We will definitely be back and let all of our friends know how delicious legend ice cream is thank you again!

Corina and I shared the mama Mary biscuit sandwich, Randy had the avo stack and we all shared the rosemary potatoes. Sharing the biscuit sandwich and having some potatoes was the perfect portion size. The gravy is the best I've had in ages, maybe ever. So much flavor and an excellent consistency. It's hard to review an old friend!…read more Since returning to Wenatchee three years ago, we have cycled around to most of the haunts we frequented 15 years ago, mostly restaurants where we had made friends with the wait-staff and owners as well. Sadly, many of them have moved on. But some still remain, and encountering them again is exhilarating. I always look forward to the hugs and squealing laughter.--"...where did you go and what have you done...? We've missed you!" McGlinn's Alehouse is the place we spent most of our time for the first five years of our marriage. It was originally the Orondo Tavern, built in 1922 as a solid brick two-story commercial building in the small town rural American style--big, open storefront windows on the ground floor, and small offices and apartments on the second, with tiny windows surrounded in iron bar planters. Such buildings have long narrow internal staircases up the right side entrance--one you'd never access unless to lived in one of those vaults upstairs. I finally returned to McGlinn's tonight. I had been meaning to, long before this, but there was never any parking in front --many restaurants now have covered sidewalk-cabanas out front--a code violation waved during the COVID pandemic. Inside, the left wall is still that half-block-long cabinet of all the liquor bottles you can imagine, multiplied in depth by the mirrors behind them. Down the middle of the room is one long continuous table that seats 14 people on a side--yes, strangers sit together. At the very back wall there is still, the largest brick open-hearth wood-burning oven you'd ever bake a leg of lamb and two pizzas in, at the same time. And down the right side-wall were six wooden tables-of-four, all sealed in a hard resin clear coat, as shiny and clean as they were vintage and rustic. I sat in the first chair at the first table, my back to the stairway down to bathrooms in the basement below the sidewalk. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tim's chips, a departure from the "John Paul Bacon Burger with pickled onions (McGlinn's is famous for). Ask to sit in Sadie's section--she's been there 20 years. McGlinn's has been there 34 years! What's not to like about an old friend! -------== ##### ==-------

I've noticed on several occasions the employees helping each other and working well together. Today, we had a mobile order. Every was perfect and freshly made. The tables and floors are always nice and clean. It's a great little restaurant with fast and friendly service. The food is good, too, and competitively priced. We paid $10 for 4 chicken straps, fries, and toast combo.

The counter person asked her manager who immediately came to the microphone and said, "yes, we can...what size?" When I got to the window moments later, the ice cold shake was served with a steaming hot "Original Cheeseburger". Both items were obviously made to order in that 3-4 minute interval. I was really impressed. The burger was delicious and the bun was moist and hot along with the rest of the burger. All the cheese was fully melted and the onion, tomato and pickle chips were all crisp. (See pics) What's to review--the whole experience of food quality, affordability, efficiency and attitude of their servers--it was all 5-Stars at 9:00PM to boot. We need to remember that the long-term fast-food restaurants are still around for a reason--they have perfected their performance over years and years. We often forget about them (I did) because they don't bombard us with hype, advertising and up-selling. But they offer solid value in a plain and simple format.

Over the last year Sherrie and I have gravitated from their burgers to their chowder...probably have had it about 20 times. We've even bought Ivar's Clam Chowder from Costco to compare them. Ivar's has more creaminess and less clam flavor, and though Ivar's from Costco is the low-cost leader, it doesn't compare with EZ's "Dock" brand. I finally interviewed EZ's about it. The recipe is the owner's. "Docks" is the owner's copyrighted brand. It is fully prepared from scratch on site and I believe it is only sold out of this location. They started selling a larger 20 oz. size a few months ago and it's the perfect dinner size, completely satisfying (see the pic). - Scott

I ordered the Jalapeno Pepper Jack Burg and it was PRETTAY TASTY. It def had a kick to it. Service was quick and easy like any other drive-thru place. People working there were friendly as well. And the two drive thru lines made it so we can get our food faster. The burger was delish though so whenever I'm back in town visiting I'll be sure to grab another!
