Been a staple place in sandy for ice cream treats and food for many years. The burgers are always put together nicely and tasty. This trip I had the triple steakhouse burger. It was cheesey and delicious! I added lettuce and tomatoes for an added fresh bite. I love their weekday happy hour where milkshakes are half price. Hot summer day in the mid-90's. Dairy Queen with my wife for one caramel sundae and another hot fudge with peanuts (in the middle) sundae - it's like a mini "Peanut Buster Parfait." Driving through town while on a road trip, when my boyfriend and I got hungry. We decided that Dairy Queen would be a decent enough, quick bite to eat. We pulled up to the drive through. We were immediately greater by a friendly voice who introduced himself as "Allen". He was polite and took our order. We pulled up to the window and "Allen" who was the manager, greater us again with a big smile! It's refreshing seeing a friendly face at a fast food restaurant! Not only was he polite, but he was attentive. He wasn't taking someone else's order and trying to listen to us at the same time! He also asked us if we didn't mind waiting another minute for fresh fries. We told him we would very much appreciate fresh fries. He asked us to pull into one of the spots and that we would get our good shortly. Not even a minute later and Allen hand delivered our food! Refreshing to get some good service!! Stopped here for lunch on our way to Welches. One negative . . . . I wanted to wash my hand before I eat, I've been picking walking sticks & who knows where they've been BEFORE I EAT. The clerk handed me a key with a bowl attached, but the bathroom is outside. That means, I have to wash my hands after using the toilet, then hold the same DIRTY KEY WITH THE BOWL attached to it, THEN OPEN the door inside the restaurant. They didn't have a paper towel to dry your hands, I was forced to use the air-dryer. Meaning, dirt from the floor now is flying all over my clean hands. I have to use a toilet paper - ripping to shreds, while I try to hang on to the DIRTY KEY WITH THE BOWL attached to it. AND TRY TO OPEN the door so I can re-join my hubby while he already started eating his hamburger. Lucky, I didn't have to bring my purse. I have to deal with THAT TOO! And no I'm not a germ phobic, but I get sick in eating in certain public, and I wanted to make sure, this lunch isn't going to be wasted! I love DQ! Have been through several times on our way down the mtn only because the first one sneaks up on us so fast. But the service is not the best. It seems as bough the manager tries, but employees intentionally smoke behind the drive through sign and don't work fast by any means. In fact when asked not to smoke there they act like middle school girls and throw fits. I haven't been inside to tell how clean it is but doesn't look great from outside. The drive through lane is in competition with the direction of parking traffic so beware of coming and going cars. The plus side my blizzard was able to be flipped over and not spill, and was fully blended. But employees are not good. read more

I had a great experience at this DQ about a month ago. They were very busy and the manager came and took our order as the other staff worked on getting everyone their food. My order was brought to the table and the burger was delicious and the fries were hot and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back and I recommend this restaurant to every single person on the entire plant. My friend Mike was on tinder when we were eating and he got a lot of matches. Was here on Labor Day and served by Ari. Very discourteous and slow service. When I asked about a restroom, Ari merely motioned with her thumb over her shoulder with a scowl on her face. This in no way helped me figure out where the bathroom would be located. With nearly no one in the restaurant, it took 10 minutes to make 2 ice cream treats. Went here with a group of friends after a Tuesday night car club meeting. It isn't unusual for some of us to stop by this DQ after the meeting for a treat and good conversation. We arrived at DQ around 8:30 pm and were told they were closed even though the sign indicates they close at 9:00. There were around 10 of us there and we told them we would make sure to be out of there by 9:00 but they weren't interested. Too bad. We go through the drive thru often at this location. Order blizzards, but they should be called milkshakes. Have to take them home and out them in the freezer before we can eat them. Annoying. The workers said there ice cream machine is old. Yesterday we ate inside for the first time. Ordered sundaes to be safe. I was shocked at how dirty this place was.
