I've been craving five guys since the ice storm a few weeks ago so I decided to get a burger and fries today. I gave three stars because somehow it still tasted pretty good, but the fries were burnt and now that I think about it the last time I was there, the fries burnt then too. I sat and watched what would've been frozen fries sitting over a steaming hot basket of oil for a very long time which explains why their fries are usually pretty mushy and burnt looking. You have to cook them longer to get any crisp after they sat over hot steam for 15 minutes. Sadly, the burger tasted burnt as well and the mushrooms also. Unfortunately, the onions were basically raw. Not sure how they could justify charging $17 for a small, GRISTLY burger and fries and a small drink . All over the restaurant there are signs saying how good they are at burgers and fries and dogs. After waiting 35 minutes for the burger and spending that entire time with nothing to do but read those signs I felt like I had to come say if you're gonna put it out there that you're so great you might wanna step it up a notch. I won't be back anytime soon. My prediction is, they'll be out of business within the year. read more

Initially I thought she was yelling because I was 10ft away from her, but she then continues to yell at me at the same volume when I was right in front of her placing my order. While placing my order, she asked me about what I wanted to drink with order, I made the mistake of saying I didn't understand her... do you think she chose to rephrase what she said? No she chose to speak even LOUDER. As I sat there and waited on my food from the other side of the restaurant, i heard her more than I did my girlfriend who was sitting right across from me. Good food, friendly service great price point. Strawberry shake is delicious, and the choices for the burger toppings is plentiful.

This five guys does the typical good quality burger, I have also tried a strawberry malt there, but unfortunately there was more malt powder than strawberry which was disappointing. Hence the 4 star, but the staff is nice and quick and the food is reliable. The fries are always great and plentiful so that's always a plus. read more

Ok I just consistently love this place. I have ordered it through uber eats and it's simply not as good when it's not fresh... particularly because I mostly prefer lettuce wrapped. For those that don't know it's a pretty simply menu. Burger (2 patties) or Little Burger (1 patty)... then you can have cheese or bacon as additions. Decide if your desire is with a bun, lettuce wrapped, or a burger bowl... After you make that decision it's all about the toppings... order as many or as few as you like. Burgers are literally made to order. I prefer grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled green pepper, grilled jalapeno, lettuce, bit of mayo, bbq, and mustard... but there are a lot more toppings. Fries come in three sizes... the little fries are plenty for two to share in my world. They aren't crunchy fries. They're firm on the outside and soft in the middle. Fresh cut... I order little cajun fries... then get mayo on the side and make fry sauce with some ketchup. Drinks are self service... just how I like it. There are also hot dogs, grilled cheese etc. You can get. Also try a milkshake sometime... they're a nice splurge and another thing you can get as many add ins as you like. While waiting for you order get some peanuts and feel free to throw the shells on the ground. The location has restrooms and the condiments and self service area are almost always stocked. A double bacon cheeseburger with bacon and grilled onion (you'd need a magnifying glass and some serious tools to find the bacon and onions), and a single bacon cheeseburger, both as a 'bowl' vs a wrap. It looks like something you'd be served in solitary confinement. We'd already gotten home when I opened the bag, otherwise I would've gotten a refund right then. I want my money back... so I can go to Carl's Jr and get an ACTUAL burger that doesn't look like it spent the afternoon in a dumpster. The food in the restaurant itself looked good... What is THIS?! I have taken the time to write this review because I had a real issue with my closest FiveGuys and they took action. I have always enjoyed my FiveGuys burgers and fries. As there has never been one in my local community, I have to travel for to experience. The last couple of times I had been able to get down to Gresham to order and pick-up our food, my order was not even close. Once with nothing and once with all kings of peppers and onions and such. Not my style. After the most recent error I took their link to share my experience and they contacted me with an email saying I would get a free meal if I wished too. DON'T GET THE MILKSHAKE food is five star -- if you get a burger, don't be surprised if it's got two patties, the standard burger has double stacked patties. if you aren't that hungry, order a SINGLE. the fries are great if you tell them HOLD THE SALT. please salt them yourself, what a difference it makes. if you let them salt them, I think they roll each fry individually in a 2 pound bed of salt crystals or shake it in a baggie. they are literally crusted with salt. not over-salted occasionally, like maybe the top popped off the salt shaker, but CONSISTENTLY, for YEARS, they have been over-salting. great fries, just hold the salt...there's salt packets there and you can add salt to taste and save yourself about 2000 mg of high blood pressure in 10 years. overall, I have no issues with this particular 5 guys. solid 5 star. then one day I ordered a MILKSHAKE - a standard vanilla milkshake (late jun 2023). the milkshake was a complete and total disaster. it weighed about 3 ounces, I thought it was about 1/4 full but I took it from the fellow and looked in and there it was, all the way to the top of the cup in it's airy, foamy whiteness. it didn't taste like ice cream, it tasted like a warm Starbucks frothed milk. like someone ordered a latte and they forgot to put in the espresso. it was the weirdest shake I've ever had in my life. it wasn't cold, it wasn't thirst-quenching, it was just like a tall cup of frothy half and half. I dare not try one again because I noticed that some customers wait 20 minutes for one of these shakes and they seem happy to get one. if someone thinks the 5 Guys shake is a good shake, they need to go to another burger place and get one and compare. where should they go? Ordered 2 small burgers for my daughter and I. I was thinking Burgerville small, but these burgers were pretty big for being small...if ya know what I mean. Only $4.99 with as many toppings as you want on your burger. Grilled peppers, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, jalapeño peppers, tomato....you name it..they got it....except for peanut butter. Tasted hot and fresh. Messy, but really good. I also ordered a small fry and small shake to share. Again....not so small. No, I'm not complaining about size, just surprised how big everything was. Burgerville better step it up. Anyway, fries were hot, but a bit on the extra salty side. The shake tasted awesome. It was just like eating a crushed ore cookie mixed in ice-cream. Very thick. I first tried 5 Guys when I lived on Long Island, NY in 2007. If I remember something that happened 16 years ago, it couldn't be all bad. When we moved back out to the West Coast I was so happy they were here. I will say they were so packed nonstop in NY. But we love 5 Guys, a little spendy, but we don't grab food out much. read more

I must say, I'm not a fan of 5 guys. It's difficult finding a decent burger these days. Fast food burgers are notoriously yucky, dry, old, unimaginative and bland. My order was stuffed into a paper dime bag. The same ones my mom used to stuff my gross thick-sliced, warm baloney sandwiches in to. When I say stuffed, I mean stuffed. My burger was mashed in first, then, like a bulk cereal dispenser, the greasy fries were dumped on top. No carton for the fries. Just dumped on top, so you had to squish your hand through the greasy fries to reach the burger. Grey grease splotches coated the cheap paper bag. The fries tasted like a paper bag. Dull. Barbaric. Boring. Big thumbs down. At least when you go to Burger King, you know it's gonna be rank. I expected more from you, Guys. read more

There's nothing great about the cheeseburger. You get to choose which condiments you like (pickles, mayo, onion, mushrooms, etc). The fries are good. You get a lot of fries too. The restaurant is clean and the employees seem upbeat and friendly. I got my food in a timely manner. read more

I love the idea of five guys, the gritty burger place, peanuts, foil wrapped no frills burgers and fresh cut fries.. I just can't get around the price vs quality. I am just overwhelmed with expectations that are just never met here. Now if they were, say, in n out prices, then I would be 100% for it, but for me to spend true restaurant prices for a burger counter place is just not for me. I had some promo with my chase pay app here so I went in and enjoyed the food, but seeing those menu prices are just appalling. The staff is friendly-ish and the they get your meal to you in a reasonable amount of time, though I wouldn't go on a lunch break, as sometimes it isn't as efficient as you would like. I would say that if you go, get as much meat and cheese in that bun as possible, as that is where it will shine (with grease) in all of its glory. read more

Worst customer service ever! The cashier was super rude, super quiet and annoyed at us for simply ordering! She kept rolling her eyes and just looked absolutely miserable. The cashiers switch out and the second person just stood there and stared at the customers..super strange. The cooks looked super miserable too..such bad vibes overall. I tend to like Five Guys quite a bit, and my kids and I stop here every week to get milkshakes. We always leave a tip as well! Today, my wife was with us, and she stayed in the car because she wasn't feeling well, and asked me to bring her a big cup of ice water. My kids and I placed our order, left a tip, then I asked if I could have a regular cup for water instead of the tiny little water cups. The cashier said they had to ask their GM. The GM came out and told me that the little cups are for water. I told her that we come here every week, and asked if we could have a big cup of water along with our shakes. She said I'd have to pay for it. I asked her how much I'd have to pay, assuming it would be 50 cents or something. "$3.09" she told me. This place is trying for a interesting atmosphere. Bright white with red, tile walls, people hopping all over the place, and blaring music. The service was par, nothing special. You walk in the door and there is a pallet of peanuts, roasted peanuts in the shell. You are welcome to take a handful and snack on those while you wait for your order. The shells end up on the ground, which can be a distraction to some people, (My wife thought it was dirty), or you just think hmmm, trying for the old saloon look. The burger itself was decent, not to fatty and cooked well. The condiments were a nice selection that allows you to customize a bit, sort of like a Subway of burgers in that sense. Though the burger was somewhat cooled down by arrival. I like the fries, they were chunks of potatoes with the skin on them and not hollow grease sticks. I wish I would have tried the Cajun seasoning they had, but alas, I did not. In the end, it was just a burger joint that was a bit high priced for what you get. read more

Once again, extremely frustrated with this location and will never waste our time here again. I placed an online order to pickup. It was supposed to be ready at 1:48pm. It is now 2:32 and my husband is still waiting. He got there at 1:50 and they hadn't even started the order, so he went outside to wait. At 2:20, he went back inside to check and they had FORGOTTEN about him. This is not the first time this has happened - TERRIBLE SERVICE and a WASTE of TIME that cost us $25. I want my money back!! NO APOLOGY which makes it even worse. This happens EVERY TIME at this location if we place an online order. If I place an order to pickup, I expect it to be ready when I get there, not to have it started when I get there. Or in this case, not at all, twice. Also, we live 5 minutes away and when we finally got the order, it was cold. I called and spoke to Patience, who stated that a general manager will be contacting me. A young woman working behind the counter screamed at a me and some other kids several times when they were using their straws (Their mouths and noses were still covered by the mask, mind you) through the bottom of their masks. She threatened to kick us all out (even those of us who complied with the mask requirement), not serve us our food, and refund us. I'm not sure if this was purposeful, and I don't want to assume the worst, but she also prepared my fries and they were so heavily salted that they were inedible. I understood her frustration, however, I felt that her outburst was completely unprofessional, unnecessary, and rude. This is also not the first time I have seen this woman have a yelling angry outburst at customers. I will not withdraw my service, but for the sake of other customers and your restaurants reputation, I feel that it is very important that this issue is addressed. read more

I've had a mix of good and poor experiences here. The food is consistently hot and fresh, so quality has not been an issue. Service on the other hand... More than a couple times our toppings have been wrong and the wait time has been way too long (even accounting for how busy they are). The tables are generally fairly dirty too, like they never have time to come wipe them down. It always looks like it's just a bunch of high schoolers that work there, which is probably why service is inconsistent. A little more attention to detail could go a long way. read more

Five Guys is a national chain fast food burger joint serving up a burger that's vastly superior to most fast food burgers. The restaurant is more akin to an In-n-Out style than, say, a McD's or BK, since the menu is short and to the point - burgers and fries. Do one thing and do it well, and that works here. However the burgers here shouldn't really be compared to In-n-Out, they represent something a little different. If you've been to one Five Guys, you've been to 'em all when it comes to the selection. However at this location I noticed two distinct extras - one, the place was fairly empty at noon on a Friday. No waiting to order. That's nice. Two - my burger was the most carefully constructed of any Five Guys burger I've ever had. Usually my FG burgers are a smashed ball of bun, meat, cheese, sauce and toppings. This one actually looked and ate like a burger. Which is a nice surprise. Staff was friendly enough, location is convenient to 26 on the way to/from Hood, and parking in the strip mall is plentiful. So there's that too. I do always have to laugh at all of the magazine articles and newspaper clippings on the wall with restaurant reviews of Five Guys (usually in DC, where they started, or in the south). I mean really. These are good solid fast burgers but they're not going to win any culinary awards. But whatever. It won't change that I've become a Five Guys fan in absence of any In-n-Out closer to me than Redding. read more

Besides deciding between a bacon burger, hamburger, and cheeseburger, all the other condiments are free. Went on a Thursday just before 7 for the 2nd time here. First time I told the girl it was my first time going and it was AMAZING!!! Delicious!! MmM Good! This past time vomit central. the fries were the same shade of brown as my wood dresser and the burger patty looked like someone who was afraid to eat formed it. . . it was so tiny!! The grease put a hole in the brown bag, but since I threw away the fries because they were so gross it didn't matter. My review is for the online ordering experience. Kept getting a glitch in the process, and was instructed to contact "support@olo.com" for assistance. Did not hear back while I was trying to do this, so I had to keep futzing around with it, and I finally got it to work. Not an experience I'd want to repeat. I sent the request for help at 1:05pm, and they finally wrote back, at 2:48. Completely too late to be of use. And that would be IF they offered any help. The response I got said "Thanks for contacting Olo Customer Support. Sorry for the delayed response. Please let us know if you have any questions." Well, I had already stated my question in my initial email, so it was a complete non sequitur.
