This place was pretty good! I'd come here again when in the mood for a good sandwich. Service was exceptional, and quick. The food was flavorful and filling. The place has a fun eclectic vibe. Zero complaints!
Stopped in for the first time today, and will be back! Great burger, good service, and a really cool place to eat. Convenient parking too! I ordered a Rose City Smash double... and did not see cheese on the menu listing. So I said "throw some cheese on it too!"... and the guy at the counter thought I said NO CHEESE (like I woudl ever say no cheese, lol!). When I got the burger, I let them know about the mistake, and they offered to make me another burger. I said it ok... and ate the burger as it was. Tasty... lots of meat, way too much lettuce (especially with the current lettuce problems, lol)! Looking forward to next time!
We always see the billboard when headed to baggage claim at the Pdx air port but never thought to try but today we did and it didn't disappoint! We had their regular smash burger and it was amazing! Meat cooked to perfection, the bun was soft and toasty. The fries were delicious! If you are looking for a really good burger MUST TRY! Service was also really quick. This will be a burger go to spot when I'm but the airport!

Jew just picked up some sandwiches from Sandy O's . I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandi. It came with large chicken tenders on it with bacon, lettuce , pickles, and mayo. The tenders were a little dry, but the sandwich was still very good and filling. My friend ordered the Full Pork Press. It was juicy and full of flavor. We ordered our food online and it was tasty for pickup when we arrived. The service was friendly and quick.
I am glad this neighborhood has this restaurant. It's a casual sandwich, burger and salad spot. The parking is really tricky with the entrance and exit on Sandy blvd at the corner of 105th. Once parked you have to walk thru that small lot and turn right on Sandy to find the door. It was filled up around the lunch hour. We got the pastrami sandwich and the Italian. The Italian was really good, it's a chopped sandwich with the best thinly sliced lettuce. The bun was light and went well with the filling. I can't recommend the pastrami, it was too salty and a flavor bomb. I wish it was lightened up somehow. They have pin ball inside and plenty of seating and everyone was really friendly.

This is a fairly spacious spot with a decent amount of parking around the corner. My partner and I came around 11am and were able to avoid the lunch rush -- it got really crowded around 12 which was a good sign!! The burger was good and I'd definitely come back. The peewee -- 6/10. Wayyy too salty. Would not recommend. Holy smokes burger -- 10/10! This is exactly what I'd want in a brisket burger fusion. The brisket was super tender and flavorful and everything mixed well together. I'd recommend getting this with a side of fries Potato salad -- 7/10. This was eh. Nothing special.
A really solid burger. Who would've thought something on Sandy would deliver like this. So worth it. Great space to sit and eat. Lots of seats. Some games to play. Staff was very kind.
I'd seen the ads for Sandy-Os around PDX while testing Alaska Airlines' "bags in 20 minutes" guarantee, but this was my first actual visit -- and it was worth the wait. The Holy Smokes Smashburger is an absolute knockout: a perfectly seared ground beef patty piled high with tender smoked brisket. It's rich, smoky, and messy in the best possible way -- the kind of burger you talk about afterward. The dining room is small but full of personality, with eclectic décor that feels both casual and intentional. It's the sort of place where you can tell the owners care about the vibe as much as the food. Service was friendly, and though seating is limited, it adds to the cozy, neighborhood-joint atmosphere. Pro tip: plan on street parking, as there's no dedicated lot -- but it's usually manageable. Overall, Sandy-Os delivers on flavor, charm, and a sense of Portland character. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
Im a bit of a sandwich snob so I was pretty disappointed with their cubano. It was far too skimpy on the meats and really all ingredients. Most every other sammich in Portland I've tried can easily fill me up with half but I still felt kinda hungry after.
Our first time in Oregon and our first place to eat ! The lady with the green hair was super cool . The vibe was giving twilight with a classic old vibe it was great . The best part was the food , it hit the spot after traveling all day . The were big enough for 2 people. We left happy and full .
We needed to grab something to eat on the way to the airport and this place had good ratings. We walked in were greeted by a very friendly fella. He told us some of the most popular items and we chose 2 of them. I got the Holy Smokes Smash with a single patty, smoked brisket, fries, bbq sauce, lettuce, and shaved onion on a yummy soft bun. The brisket was so good. Tender and juicy making the burger a bit messy. It kind of took over the burger but not in a bad way. If we ever come back I would try the plainer Rose City Smash to try the burger on its own. My fella got the Italian Necktie. Ham, capicola , beef salami, provolone, lettuce, red onion, pepperocini, spicy May and vinaigrette on a really good hoagie roll. Delicious sandwich packed full of good quality ingredients. We also shared some delicious crispy fries. I appreciated the extra clean bathrooms! Great place that I wish was in Arizona as well.

I always enjoy coming out here when I am in the area. The burgers and sandwiches here are consistent and worth trying out. Sorting this visit, we ordered the Rose City Smash and Italian Necktie sandwich with some fries. The smash burger here is excellent (make sure to get a double if you are hungry) and the Italian Necktie was made well. They are also quick to get our the orders as well. read more
Excellent service and a great place to eat! The restaurant is cool with pinball machines to play while you wait for your food. I'm taking away 1 Star, due to the fact that they discontinued their brisket chili fries. Bring back the chili!!!!! read more
Great experience here!! Came by after landing in the Portland airport- super quick and easy to get to, only about 8 minutes. We ordered two sandwiches and fries. One serving of fries was more than enough for two people, and they were so good! Very crunchy and flavorful. Both sandwiches were so good, but I definitely preferred the Italian Necktie. My one comment on it is the ease of eating- the sandwich is packed full of food (big plus) but because it's overflowing, there's definitely a lot that falls out, so not the most graceful sandwich to eat. The other one was much easier! Other details: Two public restrooms, and only indoor seating (but a lot of it). The folks behind the counter were so sweet and made my experience more enjoyable! read more
Portland is a great place for sandwiches. We've got a lot of options. I happened to be closer to the airport and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the SS Adamant and really enjoyed it. The pickles weren't sweet, which is big for me. The picked onions were perfect and I didn't realize how much tuna sandwiches need pickled onions! We also ordered a side of fries and they were crispy and seasoned perfectly. I ended up only eating half of my sandwich because it was so packed with tuna salad. The last thing we tried was the buttermilk pie, which comes with a side of sour cream. At first we were like "ew, why would sour cream come with this?" But when we tried it, we couldn't believe how it elevated the flavor and even the texture of the pie. The interior is quaint and has an almost western vibe to it. The service was excellent, as well. She was kind and answered our questions. read more

Always been curious about this place on my to costco. Had the Philly which was pretty good, the cheese was a tad too cheesy for my preference and the meat had a bit of fat to eat but overall decent. Service was nice, efficient, and food came out quickly. Would go back to try another sando and cookie. Interior was nice and clean but had a kinda stagnant vibe i think just cause seating felt sparse for the size of space. They have parking which is a solid plus. read more
This is an underrated gym! The service was super friendly, we felt like she was greeting and helping a regular. Food came out quick and was phenomenal. Smash burger with tons of flavor and a killer Mule to wash it down with. It's very laid back, country style burger shop with tons of heart. Excited to get more of the menu! read more

This place is a true gem. From the Food to the pinball machines, this place is my new go to spot when in Portland. The food was spectacular, down to the last bite. Everything was seasoned and balanced well. This is a counter service, so there's no waitress, but you don't even realize it once you take that first bite everything fades away and they're only bliss. The music is loud, but not obnoxious. I will be returning more than once. read more
Sandy O's is epic. Plain and simple this is a top tier place to get a Sandwich or a burger. The secret might not be out yet so enjoy it while you can. My goodness what a diamond in the rough. It's sort of out of the way but it could be on mars and I'd go. The burger is one of the better ones I've had in Portland. Just so perfectly executed. The high on the hog (roast pork) was good but not great. Still you would like it if you like roast pork. I had a bite of the Philly cheese steak which was outrageous. Also, had a slice of buttermilk pie. Wish it was a bigger slice but still really good. This place is one of my favorites now. It's about to be one of yours too. (4.8 Stars) read more

I ordered The PeeWee as I've been craving pastrami, ordering was smooth, received my food quickly as well. Spacious interior, open concept, I dig it. The sandwich was piping hot, wonderful! But the sandwich itself was so so, I believe the toppings were a bit much which took away from the meat. Biting into the sandwich was difficult as all the meat kept pulling out and so it was falling apart. Meat could have been more tender so it would have been easier to bite into, and it was on the sweeter side. Regardless, I'll be back to try another sandwich and the fries, as they looked really good!! read more

Loved this place so much that we visited a few times on our 5 day trip. The Peewee was smokey and delicious, and the giardiniera was a nice bright and crunchy addition. We had a Holy Smokes smash which was yummy but we thought it could have used an acidic hit like a pickle or the giardiniera. My favorite might have been High on the Hog. The greens were delicious and a perfect compliment to the flavorful and tender pork. To top it all off, their fries and ranch are also amazing. Crispy and well seasoned fries and *real* ranch. The employees are super friendly and helpful and the dining area has ample well-spaced seating and 2 pinball machines. There are so many great options to choose from that I'd happily try all if I was local. Definitely worth a visit!! read more

...and I did come back to get La Luna. This time I ordered it online with everything but mayo. The apple butter takes it over the top of what would normally be a very good Turkey BAT. Arugula is a great choice over lettuce. Prices are just nuts in 2025 going on 2026. Almost $20 for a sandwich and nothing else. And that's not just here ofc. read more
Started out by having my church group here for a luncheon. Before hand, I got a call, if I've been here before. I said No. I remember, someone recommended me here, because it's close to home (for many of us). But, not many showed up, which was to me a disappointment! The food, was pretty good and they're huge. The environment, was clean and nice but the music was a little too loud, add Pinball machines (when they're used) made for not-relaxed, and not a place to bring several people who wanted to visit. You order at the counter, then wait for your name. One lady in my group, didn't hear her name, (after we got ours) so she got up to find out if hers was done, and they have not started her chicken nuggets! The restroom was clean. You have to get the combination code, though. It is not a place I would take my group, where I would go back. read more

I'm a sandwich girl and I can't stop thinking about this place since trying it! I got the chopped Italian and it was crazy good! I love how they shave the lettuce and onions on all their sandwiches and burgers! My husband got a double patty burger with bbq brisket both of them out of this world along with their crispy seasoned fries! I'm gonna be a new regular here!! It's a smaller place on the inside, but still plenty of seating! The service was great answered all of our questions & you order upfront! Fast, friendly and hands down delicious! read more
